Peter Rowland has been feeding Melbourne since 1962. From humble beginnings the Peter Rowland business has grown to become one of Australia’s most successful, innovative and respected food and entertaining companies. Over the years, the business has grown from a boutique catering and events company to a multi-faceted food and entertaining business. The group’s portfolio includes exclusive private event management, major event catering, retail and hospitality consultancy, restaurant, café and venue management and e-commerce. From 2019 after feeding Melbourne for more than 50 years the iconic Peter Rowland experience is now also available in Sydney. Our hospitality has become synonymous with the Melbourne Cup Carnival; it can be found across multiple locations at Flemington Racecourse during the four days of the biggest event on Australia’s racing calendar. OUR MENU SELECTION

We offer hampers designed for smaller carparks containing 24 iconic Peter Rowland chicken sandwiches. Please discuss with your event planner if this is something you are interested in.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Dietary requirements can be catered for on a individual basis, please discuss your requirements with your event planner.

HAMPER PACKAGING

All hampers can be used as platters to pass around to your guests. Included in each box are cocktail napkins and biodegradable cutlery where required.

HAMPER DELIVERY

Our team will deliver your hampers direct to your allocated site for $75.00. This includes two deliveries throughout the day. You can confirm your delivery times upon booking. Please allow a 30 minute window delivery time. Additional deliveries are charged at $45.00 each.

STAFF

Peter Rowland are able to provide food service staff to your site. A minimum food and beverage spend of $1,500.00 is required.

This menu is designed for approximately 4-5 hours service. Minimum 15 guests. Includes service platters, napkins and biodegradable disposable cutlery.

Derby Day, Oaks Day & Stakes Day $58 per hour Cup Day $79 per hour

All staff require a 30 minute break per 5 hours of service, please discuss this with your event manager. Minimum charge of 6 hours per staff member.

Dietaries

Dietary Restrictions.

All dietary needs can be catered for to ensure your guests’ requirements are met. This includes vegetarian, low gluten and dairy free menu options. Please discuss any dietary requirements with your Event Manager.

Whilst all care will be taken to provide special meals to meet all dietary requirements, Peter Rowland are unable to guarantee that any meal will be 100% free of all traces of nuts, dairy, gluten or other products that may produce allergic reactions in certain people. For extreme allergies, special arrangements must be discussed with your Event Manager. On the day, our staff will endeavour to identify guests who have requested a special dietary meal; however, the responsibility ultimately lies with the guest to identify themselves to service staff.

Important information

1. IMPORTANT DATES To assist you in the lead up to the 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival please note the following important dates. Due to the necessary establishment of strict time schedules and the demands placed upon all suppliers to the event, we ask that you observe the following dates for both the ordering and payment of your catering requirements. To secure your booking: Terms & Conditions signed and returned preliminary invoice issued for payment within 7 days as per terms Invoice based on estimated charges if not finalised.

2. YOUR DRINKS DELIVERED BEVERAGE HANDLING SERVICE | $400.00/day Your beverages will be delivered to your site and chilled by your Peter Rowland staff. Beverages can be dropped off to the Peter Rowland compound at Flemington Racecourse on the day prior to the race day. Any remaining beverages can then be collected the following day. Please note this service is only available to Peter Rowland staffed sites.

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL

Our catering personnel may require your assistance with controlling the alcohol consumption of your guests to ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol legislation and for the safety and enjoyment of all guests. All staff members are trained in Responsible Service of Alcohol and with your help, we can eliminate any situation where it may be necessary to withdraw the service of alcohol from your site. Staff members are instructed not to serve any alcoholic beverages to guests under the age of 18 years, or those deemed to be in a state of intoxication.
