è The United Na�ons is calling for solidarity and increased funding, as some of the world’s most vulnerable countries scale up their efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

è Responding to the socio-economic impacts of COVID-19, the United Na�ons Secretary-General calls on everyone to act together to address this impact and lessen the blow to people.

è In accordance with the UN Reform, the UN in Nigeria adopted a 'One UN Response' approach to suppor�ng the 'Na�onal COVID-19 Leadership’

è The UN Country Team in Nigeria has offered the Government of Nigeria the following support: Engagement based on na�onal ownership and leadership of the responsePrinciple of “Four Ones”: One COVID-19 Ac�on Response Plan; One Coordina�ng Authority; One Monitoring and Evalua�on system and One finance and investment framework/ pla�orm.

è The UN in Nigeria is currently undertaking a socio-economic analysis of the impact of COVID-19 on the Nigerian society and a period brief will be issued.

è Any staff member who have recently travelled abroad or suspect he/ she had contact with any suspect case, should self-isolate.

è All staff are required to prac�ce frequent hand-washing and hand sani�zing measures.

è Please follow social distancing measures at all �mes (minimum 1 meter), including at UN offices, for example in the security screening room, when queuing for handwashing or temperature check.
