But first, a step back.
How could Mirvac encourage every employee to live and breathe ‘The Mirvac Way’?
By recognising their employees
for living by their values
and ensuring that it’s fair,
consistent and attainable
for every single person involved.
How did an initiative like this work?
We’ll start at the beginning.
The Objectives.
And achieve this throughout every division of the business.
Not just today, but for years to come.
• To encourage employees to actively acknowledge Mirvac Values in action
• Reward employees that demonstrate the Mirvac Values on a day-to-day basis
Mirvac developed a solution internally.
But realising greatness isn’t always easy.
The Mirvac Executive Team wouldn’t approve
the format of the program.
Back to the drawing board. Focus groups were conducted involving every division of Mirvac,
including the program sceptics.
Which led to The Rethink. And Mirvac identified the need to outsource
the administration of their program.
They realised it required thought beyond a technology platformif they were to truly inspire their people
and ignite a culture of recognition.
We partnered with Mirvac to design a best-practice solution
And together we launched ‘Mirvac Stars’ A company-wide reward
and recognition program.

Value Stars are eligible
for the Super Star Award
Where the
MEGA STAR
is announced
When an employee has been nominated for
all 5 Values they are awarded Value Star status
and receive 125 bonus points
An employee nominates a colleague
for demonstrating one of the Values

The employee’s manager approves the nomination.
The nominated employee receives 25 reward points.
Employees can continue to receive nominations and earn points even if they have achieved Values Star status
Employees can redeem their points for a range of 3,000+ items in the ‘Mirvac Stars’ store
The Mirvac Stars Awards Party is the ultimate night of recognition
And the employee who has best represented the values
is honoured as the Mirvac Mega Star.
