ADELAIDE ENTERTAINMENT
CENTRE THEATRE
20 TO 23 SEPTEMBER 2021
WELCOMEIt gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the 33rd Catholic Schools Music Festival.
This premier event continues to be a highlight of the South Australian Catholic Education calendar.
We are proud of these students who are a part of the Festival. It is a wonderful celebration of musical talent in Catholic school students. We also acknowledge the commitment of the many adults who support the students to prepare and perform.
We know you will enjoy the performance and will join us in celebrating the gifts within our Catholic Education community.
Dr Neil McGoran Director Catholic Education South Australia
Nichii Mardon Director Pt Pirie Diocese
We are excited to be able to perform live to you at the Entertainment Centre Theatre. We
missed your laughter and applause in 2020, when we recorded our performances due to
Covid restrictions. But we are back and eager to get on with the show.
This year, in celebrating 200 years of Catholic education in Australia,
we look forward to showcasing the wonderful talents of the students
you are about to hear. Each year, these students continue to surpass
the expectations of audiences time and time again. We know that this
year will be no exception!
The music you will hear tonight will take you on an emotional journey. Songs from
beyond the sea and the echoes of drums in the night will carry you forward to a moment
in time that will make you believe in a hopeful future for humanity.
We wish to acknowledge and thank the dedication of the Choir
Trainers, Music Coordinators and the Festival Committee,
who make this performance possible. We also thank the
South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools, Catholic
Education SA, school Principals, sponsors and you, the families and friends for your
support. So, sit back… get ready… it’s time, to hear us.
Gennaro Mannella & Denise Rothall
