• TheStyleDrawerSerieshasbeenlistedbyETLandcomplieswithUL962a when installed in accordance with these instructions. Do not install this product in a manner contrary to these instructions.

• Itistheinstaller’sresponsibilitytomakesurethatpowersuppliedtothejunction boxconformstoallapplicablebuildingcodesandstandards.

• TheStyleDrawerProductsmustbeconnectedtoa20Acircuitusing12AWGwire.

Preparing for a Style Drawer Installation–To prepare for a successful Style Drawer installation please ensure that the cable management arms are free and unobstructed by confirming following the specifications:

• Theminimumwidthbehinddrawerboxmust beatleast: 131/2"forStyleDrawer24 12"fortheStyleDrawer21 10 1/2"forStyleDrawer18

• Thedistancefromthebackofthedrawertothewallwherethejunctionboxmountsmustbeatleast4"asshown.

• Lineupthejunctionboxandreceptacleboxasshown.

• Thecutoutforthereceptacleboxshouldbe5.95"widex2.8"high.Enlargingthecutoutby1/16"ineachdimensionisacceptableforeaseofmounting.Theinstallermustprovide(4)mountingscrewsforthereceptaclebox.

• Theminimuminteriordrawerboxheightmustbe atleast4"

• Thereceptacleboxacceptsdrawerwallthicknessesofeither1/2"or5/8".

• Thedrawerslidesmustbepositionedinsuchas waythatthedrawerextendsnomorethan:

20"fortheStyleDrawer24 17"fortheStyleDrawer21 14"fortheStyleDrawer18.

Furtherextensionwillplacealoadonthearm mechanism.

• Ensure that the arm mechanism is free and unobstructed.

Installing the Style Drawer Outlet–

1. Withthedrawerclosedandthereceptacleboxinposition,markthelocationoftherearmountingbracketsothatthearmsarecentered.

2.InsertStyleDraweroutletthroughthereceptacle boxcutoutinthebackofthedrawer.

4.Installtherightrearmountingscrew (notsupplied).

5.Mountthereceptaclebox.

6.Testmovement.Aligncablemanagementarmssotheyarecenteredbetweenthedrawerboxandthebackofthecabinetifnecessary.

7. ConnectelectricalsupplytotheStyleDraweroutletaccordingtothewiringdiagramon page5.

3.ExtendtheStyleDraweroutletandinstallthe leftrearmountingscrew(notsupplied).

Removing the Receptacle Box–ForasuccessfulStyleDraweroutletinstallation,itisNOTnecessarytoremovethereceptacleboxfromthecablemanagementarms.However,ifthereceptacleboxneedstoberemoved,pleasefollowthesestepstodisconnect/reconnectthereceptacleboxfromthecablemanagementarms.

1.Removethearmmechanismground connectioninsidethereceptacleboxby removingthegreengroundscrewandring terminalasshown.

4.Mountthejunctionboxinthecorrectlocationonthebackwallbehindthedrawerasshown inthedrawing.

5. Installthedrawerinthecabinet,andholdontotheendofthearmmechanism.

6.Passthewiresfromthearmmechanismintothereceptacleboxandreattachthebracketusingthe(3)#10Philipsheadscrews.

7.Securethereceptacleboxtothebackofthedrawerusingtheinstallersuppliedhardware.

8. Reconnecttheblackwirefromthethermostattotheblackwirefromthearmmechanismusingthewirenut.Make sure the thermostat is connected in series with the line (black) wire.

9. DO NOT FORGET TO REATTACH THE GROUND WIRE INSIDE THE RECEPTACLE BOX. TORQUE SCREW TO 16-18 IN-LBS. ENSURE THAT THE THERMOSTAT IS WIRED IN SERIES WITH THE LINE (BLACK) WIRE. SEE WIRE DIAGRAM.

2.Removetheyellowwirenutconnecting theblackwirefromthearmmechanismto theblackwiregoingtothethermostat.

3.Removethe(3)#10Phillipsheadscrews frominsidethereceptaclebox.Thiswill allowthearmmechanismbrackettobe disconnectedfromthereceptaclebox.

MAKE SURE BOTH GROUND SCREWS ARE SECURELY CONNECTED!

Reinstalling the Outlet– Install the GFCI outlet in the receptacle box before

connecting the junction box to electrical power.

•Afterthereceptacleboxhasbeencorrectlyinstalled inthebackofthedrawerand(ifapplicable)allwires correctlyreattached,theGFCIoutletcanbeinstalled.

REMINDER: IF THE ARM MECHANISM TO RECEPTACLE BOX GROUND WIRE WAS REMOVED DURING INSTALLATION, MAKE SURE IT HAS BEEN REATTACHED AND TORQUED PROPERLY. MAKE SURE THE THERMOSTAT IS WIRED IN SERIES WITH THE LINE (BLACK) WIRE. SEE WIRING DIAGRAM.

• FollowtheGFCIoutletinstructions(includedinoutletpackaging)andconnecttheblack,white,andgreenwiresinaccordancewiththoseinstructions.

Operation– InstructionsspecifictotheGFCIoutlet areincludedwiththeoutletitself.

• TheStyleDrawerincludesa100˚–120˚Fresettablethermostatto protectagainstoverheatinginsidethedrawer.Toreset,correctthesource ofovertemperatureandpushtheredthermostatbutton.Noteyoumayneedtowaitafewminutesfortheunittocoolbeforethethermostatcanbereset.

• TheGFCIoutlethasagreenLEDwhichwilllightifthereispowertothe outlet.IftheLEDisnotlit,checktheGFCIresetbuttonandthethermostat.
