First CBF/GA Neighborhood Event HeldThe Middle Georgia Neighborhood Picnic at Highland Hills BaptistChurch in Macon was a huge success, measured by the largecrowd of over 200 people who attended. The evening wasmarked by good food, fellowship, games for all, and outdooractivities for children. CBF/GA looks forward to moreneighborhood events in the months ahead! The Middle GeorgiaNeighborhood especially thanks Erin Hall and Amanda WilsonHarper for all of their hard work on the picnic.

Shower Trailer available for Ministry and forDisaster ReliefFirst Baptist, Cornelia, GA, and First Baptist, Orangeburg, SC,have partnered together to provide a shower trailer to be used forministry. Constructed as a ministry of the deacons of FBC,Orangeburg, the shower trailer will be housed and maintained atFBC, Cornelia. FBC, Cornelia is developing procedures forchurches and ministries to reserve the trailer. Contact EricSpivey at [email protected] or by cell phone at 706-499-9999 for more information.

Peer Learning Group Grants Available

Peer learning groups within the state of Georgia may now apply

for grants through CBF/GA for up to $500 per year. For more

Southwest Neighborhood Deacon Network

EventThe CBF/GA Southwest Neighborhood is hosting a DeaconNetwork fall gathering Sunday, September 13, 5:30-8:00 p.m. atTrinity Baptist Church in Moultrie, Georgia. Daniel Vestal willfacilitate a discussion of "Deacons as Spiritual Leaders." Alldeacons are invited to attend.

ReCharge Youth RetreatReCharge, the CBF/GA annual youth retreat, is planned for

Friday evening through Sunday lunch, October 9-11, at Woodland

Christian Camp in Temple, Georgia. Nikki Hardeman will be the

preacher for the weekend, and John Callaway will be worship

Georgia Youth Choir Festival Registration

OpensMake plans now to take part in the Georgia Youth Choir Festival,which will take place Friday through Sunday, January 15-17,2016, at the Calvin Center in Hampton, Georgia. Concert plans forSunday are now being finalized. Cost is $100 per participant, andregistration will open August 31.
