What Classes Can Students Take?Students can choose off the “transfer module”
list for general education or core courses that will transfer to state colleges and universities.

The state will not pay for students to take a full load of courses at high school and more at college.
The college and high school counselors use a formula to determine how many college classes the student can take in a day.

What To Do and When All Students: Notify middle/high school of
intent to participate ( get intent form from school) by March 30
Complete application (sections 1 and 3) AS SOON AS YOU DECIDE to PARTICIPATE. Turn in to HS immediately – by May 1st!
Discuss college course selections with your high school counselor to complete section 2 of the application and forward to LCCC along with a school transcript.

Application:Applications for Dual Enrollment will not be
approved for fall semester if submitted after June 15th .
There is a “second chance” deadline for students that want to participate in spring semester – October 15th.

You will complete the College Student Inventory as part of your orientation if you attend the orientation at LCCC.
Take the COMPASS ASSESSMENT.
Meet with an Academic Advisor at LCCC.

Mandatory LCCC OrientationHigh schools with classes on their site will
hold one session at each high school site in May.
If you miss the May date at your high school or your high school doesn’t offer a session you must attend at LCCC or complete online.

College Student InventoryCSI is an online assessment that helps to
identify strengths and weaknesses in academic preparation, motivation, and career decision making to provide a career advantage.
This assessment is administered as part of the orientation session on the LCCC site.

(TARGET DATE is by May 15th). DO NOT WAIT!

If you do not take ACT by June 14th 2014, you must take COMPASS instead!

Meet With an Academic AdvisorMeet with LCCC Academic Advisor and schedule your classes or to
have an advising session if taking classes at the high school site. (You can take your COMPASS and meet with an advisor in same day)
Advising Sessions will be held on a walk-in basis in the Mike Bass Library and Community Center at LCCC:
Enrollment Services Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:30 a.m. thru 7:30 p.m.Fridays : 8:30 a.m. thru 5:00 p.m.
***Remember: Avoid waiting in line and getting closed out of courses by applying for CC+ and meeting with advisors EARLY(before summer break)!
