Who we areThe ‘Canes Care group is a response team committed to creating an environment that:
Promotes a caring community among students, faculty, and staff through active and passive programming and outreach
Engages students to be active participants; not bystanders
Is safe and welcoming for all studentsSupports students’ academic success by helping
alleviate personal stressorsEncourages students’ full participation in the UM
community and in their own positive collegial experience
Refers students to campus resources that can help

Identify obstacles to the learning and academic success
Provide timely and appropriate assistance that allows students to effectively pursue their academic goals
