Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) was originally developed in 2004 as one shelter providing a safe haven for 45 children in critical
need. Within five short years, the CCF has grown to incorporate five separate facilities, where over 400 children receive nutrition and
housing, as well as medical treatment, dental services and vaccinations.
CCF children are given a comprehensive educational program that includes local language reading and writing, as well as multi-level
classes in English, social studies and math. They also attend evening classes at the rooftop km cultural center, where they learn tradi-
tional Khmer music, dance and drama.
CCF is also expanding its community relief programs to provide suffering families better access to education, health care,
food assistance and safe drinking water - essential in an environment where an estimated 80% of illnesses are water related.

ABOUTCAmBOdIANCHILdREN’sFUNd
Cambodia, along with the majority of the developing world, is
sliding toward a new famine. Within this context, Cambodian
Children’s Fund serves one of the most impoverished and de-
prived populations in the world. Cambodia now has 5.1 million
children under the age of 15 – a full 38% of the population that
will eventually enter the economic environment, unskilled and
undereducated. The rate of child prostitution and child traffick-
ing is expected to increase without serious, long-term interven-
tion. CCF is committed to rebuilding futures and bringing new
hope to children and families who have been discarded and
deserted.
Cambodian Children’s Fund’s mission is to break cycles of
poverty and abuse and to create positive change in Cambodia
through intervention and education for the most impoverished
and underserved children and their families. CCF is motivated by
a strong vision of investing in children, supporting their families
and renewing urban communities by giving individuals and fami-
lies the knowledge, security and assistance they need to improve
their economic opportunities and to live healthier lives.

Scott Neeson grew up in Adelaide, South Australia and started what was to be a long, successful
career in the Hollywood film business, ultimately serving as president of 20th Century Fox Inter-
national and holding a similar position with Sony Pictures International. Neeson went to Cambo-
dia on holiday in early 2003 and found his life forever changed by the desperate circumstances
and unlikely courage of Phnom Penh’s most impoverished children. In 2004 Neeson resigned
from his 26-year film career and began the process of the long-term move to Cambodia, selling
his home, car, boat and other assets and started on his path to establishing Cambodian Chil-
dren’s Fund. All initial costs for the establishment and operation of the CCF1 facility were covered
by Neeson, who now acts as the organization’s full-time Executive Director.
