Click on Find your local team. When the map of the United Kingdom appears, click on an area of the map that you want to find out about. A list of towns will appear. Click on one of them and then on the SEARCH box and a list of clubs in the area you have chosen will appear. 5 How many clubs are there in that area? 6 Choose one of the clubs, complete the information about it and then tell your partner about your korfball club. 3 You are going to find the answers to the questions you don’t know on the official Britishkorfball association webpage. Type in: www.korfball.co.uk . When the main page appears, clickon What is Korfball from the list on the left of the page. Now answer the rest of the questionsabove.

4 You are going to find out where you can play korfball in the United Kingdom. Look at the liston the left of the page again. Click on Find your local team . When the map of the UnitedKingdom appears, click on an area of the map that you want to find out about. A list of towns

Aim: For students to find information in English about the sport ‘korfball’ which they read about inModule 1.

Time: Approximately 45 minutes.

Materials: Photocopies of the corresponding worksheet for each student.

1 Students discuss with their partners what they can remember about korfball from Module 1.

2 Students answer as many of the questions as they can from what they already know aboutkorfball.a Who invented korfball? 3 Make sure that students have found the correct page and that they have located the What isKorfball section from the list on the left of the page. Students answer the rest of the questionsfrom exercise 2.

4 Students then click on Find your local team to find information about clubs in the UK .Make sure that students have found the correct page and are able to locate the areas in theUK correctly.

5 Students find the number of clubs in the area they chose.

6 Students choose one club and complete the details about it. They can then tell their partnerabout the club they have found.

7 Students can discuss with a partner if they would be interested in playing korfball. Encouragethem to give reasons for their decision.
