Special notice for user

For your more reasonable use and maintenance of the vehicles and to provide a clean working and living environment, please preserve and maintain your vehicles strictly according to the descriptions as follows:

1. Operating the vehicle and maintaining the filter element as specified in user instruction manual of chassis and auxiliary engine. The damages due to the improper maintenance will not be covered by the warranty.

2. Cleaning the main and auxiliary engines with compressed air each day, and changing the core of the air-filter per 50-80 hours the auxiliary engine has worked.

3. Checking the machine air filter core every 3-5 days. When clean outer filter core 2 – 3 times, it must change inner core if it has dust.

4. To avoid the damage of the friction disc of the centrifugal clutch, the auxiliary engine is required not to stop running during 950-1250r/min. (start auxiliary engine, speed up to 1500r/min after 2 minutes running, if no any problem after 1 or 2 minutes, speed up to working speed directly.)

5. Before working or stopping, the main and auxiliary engines are required to run slowly for 1-2 minutes. 6. When the auxiliary engine’s total working time amounts to 200 hours, the engine oil and the filter core must be changed.7. When the container is lifted and do operation under it, the safety support must be propped up to ensure safe operation.8. Before driving, the suction port and all brushes must be lifted up, or else driving is not allowed. 9. When watering the tank with a fire plug or high-pressure wellhead, the cover on the opposite of water tank must be taken away,

and the water flow is not allowed to be too heavy, and adding water must stop when water overflows the suction ventage, or the water tank may be damaged.

10.The water pump should not work without water. In chill areas, the water reserving in the water pump, oil-cooler, water-filter and water tank must be drained away; in winter, if it needs to sprinkle water, the water flow should stand aside the oil-cooler, and the

outlet of the cooler should be directly linked with the outlet of filter. 11. Before driving every day, please check the following points:

a) The oil level of the main and auxiliary engines;b) Airproof and cleanness states of air-filter on main and auxiliary engines. c) The tension states of the fan belts on main and auxiliary engines, and of the belts on water pump and oil pump. d) The hydraulic oil liquid level and cleanness state.e) If there is water-short state in radiator water tank of each engines.f) If it needs lubricating oil on lubricant points.g) Check if there is damage on suction hose or seal parts.h) Check if the water filter of spraying system need to clean or the nozzle is plugged up or not, if it needs replace or repair. i) If the transmission bearing need lubricating oil or has abnormal noise. j) If filter in the tank, suction hose and suction port need to clean.

12.Knowing well and mastering the lubricating points and lubricating period of the vehicle.13.Cleaning each point of the vehicle (especially the filter net and water-filter in the garbage bin) after finishing working each day,

avoiding electrical equipments and engines being directly washed by the water flow.14.After finishing working each day, the back door of the garbage tank should be opened a little to make sure the tank’s airiness

and cleaning, and at the same time to avoid the airproof mat of the back door transmuting because of long-time pressure.15.When finishing working in winter or needing long time store, water in the tank, water pump, water-filter and cooler must be

drained off.16.Please turn off auxiliary engine before back up the vehicle, what to prevent the reverse protection of electric control system

mangling hydraulic system.17.There is special note on the upper part of driver left, please pay attention to the note when operating.18.Please make sure the fuel is clean and meet the engine requirement. (for details please refer to fuel request of chassis engine)

Fuel injection of Euro 3 engine is controlled by electronic, it much use fuel with Euro 3 emission standard, or else the damage of engine is not in guarantee term.

Chapter 1 Over View

Welcome you to choose HAIDE sweeper. In order to understand and use the cleaning sweeper better, please read this user’s instruction manual before operation, and operate and maintain according to this manual. This cleaning sweeper is a new kind of sweeper manufactured by Yantai Haide Special Vehicle Co., Ltd. The cleaning sweeper is refitted on second class chassis with power equipment, sweeping equipment, suction equipment, spraying equipment and hydraulic equipment. It has the characteristic of big sweeping width, low oil consumption and easy operation. The vehicle is a technology-intensive complex system, all key parts are from word famous brand products, and all operators and maintaining stuff cannot start working until they receive strict training. It is necessary to properly use, check, make adjustment and replace change parts to ensure the cleaning sweeper running without trouble, and prolong the useful life span. Any misuse or improper maintenance may cause damages for parts.For the maintenance of the vehicle’s chassis and auxiliary engine, see the instruction manual of chassis and auxiliary engine.With the improvement of technology and workmanship and with the coming of new affiliated parts, our products will be completed and developing accordingly. Fuel type used by the new vehicle:When chassis engine is EURO III emission standard, please use fuel with EURO III emission standard, as oil injection of engine is controlled by electric, or the engine will be abraded unusually. Summer: GB252 grade 1 NO.0 light diesel oil. Winter: GB252 grade 1 -NO.10 light diesel oil. (the temperature is between-10 and0 )℃ ℃

Grade 1 -NO.20 light diesel oil.(the temperature is between -20 and-10 )℃ ℃Grade 1 -NO.30 light diesel oil (the temperature is below -20 )℃

*The user should choose the proper light diesel oil according to the local climate and the national standard (GB252-87).2. Chapter 4 Operating and Using

1. The operating instrument and meterOperation in the cab of this kind of sweeper, except acting according to the chassis of the prior vehicle, operation of other unique working equipment should achieve their target according to the operation indicator specified in this chapter.This series sweeper adopts second category vehicle chassis, both chassis engine and auxiliary engine are diesel engine. The above two engines share one fuel tank and the remains amount of the fuel can be seen through the meter of the chassis.

In the spraying system, there is solenoid valve in outlet of water pump except the controlling screw for basic operations on the meter of electric control panel, which is introduced in this chapter. This solenoid valve is used to shut the flow when there is water in water tank and the pump is not used. There is a valve in the main pipe for water outlet when the water is not used in tank. There is a master valve to inspect the waterway when there is water in the tank. It equipped with water filter behind water master shutoff valve. The water filter is used for filtering impurity in water and needs to clean frequently. The filter cover is made of transparent material, so the clean period can be decided by Merit Rating of filter.In the hydraulic pipeline, there is a master shutting ball valve in the exit of hydraulic oil tank, which is used to repair the hydraulic pipeline.The following is the introduction to the operating switch and the screw of the electric control panel and also the adjustable manual accelerator of the auxiliary engine.Sketch 2 electric control panel

Operating device Explanation

Working hours of auxiliary engine

This instrument is used to monitor the working rotation speed of auxiliary engine and display the engine’s accumulated working hours. When the sweeper is working, we can control the auxiliary engine’s working speed between 2000~2200r/min according to the mount of the garbage and sweeping speed.

Note: for there is an auto clutch device in auxiliary engine and the transmission of blower, its connection speed of rotation is between 950~1250, so we should control the auxiliary engine’s manual accelerator operating handle. After the auxiliary engine is started, the blower should avoid working between 950~1250r/min for a long time, namely to avoid the auto clutch device being put into a skidding station for a long time.

This indicator light is used to indicate all the signal indication of control and operate parts. When the controlling switch get the power supply, this indicator light will irradiates. Otherwise, it will go out.

Indicator light for

This indicator light is used to indicate that when the key of auxiliary engine is turned from “off” to “on”, the preheating light irradiates. When the preheating stopper is warm enough, the indicator light will go out, and then we can start the auxiliary engine.

This indicator light is used to indicate the working condition of auxiliary engine. When auxiliary engine is started and working normally, this indicator light will go out. When auxiliary engine stops working, it will be lighted.

Oil alarm

Indicator light for warning engine oil of auxiliary engine

This indicator light is used to indicate auxiliary engine’s oil pressure condition. When auxiliary engine’s key is turned to “on”, the oil pressure indicator light irradiates, and when the engine is started, this light will go out.

Note: when the engine is working, the oil pressure indicator light irradiate, which tell us that the oil pressure is too low or the oil pressure transducer has something wrong, so we should stop the truck and check it immediately.

Sewage alarm

Indicator light for sewage alarm

This indicator light is used for the sewage tank warning. When the sewage rises to a certain level, the indicator will be lighted which indicate that the sewage tank is full and the sewage should be discharged.

Note: The indicator will be off if the sweeper works appropriately. If the sewage tank is full and the indicator is not lighted or after the sewage is discharged, the indicator does not off, please check the water level gauge inside the garbage container after discharging the sewage.

Clean water alarm This indicator light is used for the clean water tank warning. When the level of the water inside the clean water tank is too low, the indicator will be lighted. Please feed the water in time. Working of the

high pressure water pump without water is banned. If the high pressure water pump works without water, the pump’s wearing process will be aggravated.

This meter is used for indicates radiator water temperature of auxiliary engine. When the auxiliary engine is working, the meter indicates the temperature of cooling water.It is normal when the finger of meter is below 90 . If it points from 90 to 95 degree and has the trend℃ to increase, please control handle accelerograph to lower rotation speed till the water temperature is natural. Check and solve the reason before start to work again.

The control handle of sweeping

This handle is used to control the four brushes plate. When handle is on the neutral position, the brushes are on the ceasing state. Pushing the handle to the “sweeping” position, the four brushes sweep. Pushing the handle to the “left sweeping” position, the front left brush and two rear brushes will work. Pushing the handle to the “right sweeping” position, the front right brush and rear two brushes will work. Pushing the brush to the “stop sweeping” position, so that the brushes and suction port will be lifted.

Note: If you want to lift the brush when it is working, you should push the handle to the neutral position then push it to “stop sweeping”. When you hear a voice made by hydraulic system, you should immediately put the brush on the neutral position. When the vehicle is running, the brushes and suction port should be on the lifting position.

The operation handle of container lift and down and open and close back door

This handle can control container and rear door, after operation the handle can back-bit automatically. When you push the handle to the “lifting” position, the container will lift and dump garbage. When you push the handle to the “dropping” position, the container will down. When you pushing the handle to the “open door” position, the rear door of the container will open to dump garbage. When you push the handle to the “close door” position, the rear door of the container will close.

Note: when you hear of a noise made by the hydraulic system, you should loosen hand then the handle will return to neutral position automatically.

Power switch of electric control panel

This control device is used for controlling the electric-control circuit. When getting into the working place and beginning working, the operator should turn the switch right so as to connect the control circuit, and at the same time the indicator light of the control electricity supply flashes. Conversely, turn the switch left will close it.Note: the switch should be closed as soon as finish the sweeping work, or other wrong operation will cause accidents.

Warning light switch

This switch controls the lights on the back of the container which warns the vehicles behind the sweeper. When the sweeper works, put the knob on the “on” position, the two warning light above the back door of the container will be on and conversely on the “off” position, the lights will be off. The lights also can be used as rear steering lamp.

This device is the switch for controlling water pump and electromagnetic valve. When need spraying water to reduce dust, first open the water nozzles in different position according to the requirement of dust suppression. Note: the water pump should not be work without water; otherwise the pump will be damaged.

Spray rack control handle

This is a self-return centralized controlling handle for the up and down of the left side and right side spray frame. When the handle is putted to the “left/right spray frame up”, the left/right spray frame will be lifted up. When the handle is putted to the “left/right spray frame down”, the left/right spray frame will be lifted down for work.

Note: wherever the handle is put, if the noise of oil leaking is sent out from the hydraulic system, the operator should release the handle immediately and the handle will return automatically.

Brush speed switch

This device is the adjustment knob for the stepless rotate speed of brushes. When the brushes are sweeping, they can properly adjust their turning speed depend on the garbage distribution on the road and the sweeping speed, so as to obtain perfect result. Turning the knob right the turning speed of the brush will be higher. Turning the knob left the speed will slow down.

Note: sometimes when the knob is turned to the furthest left, each brush will not work although they are at cleaning point, please check it.

ONOFF START

Start switch of auxiliary engine

This switch is start switch of auxiliary engine, which including three positions and could be started only when the electrical source has been turned on. “OFF”, this is the point for burnout. And only in this point the key can be plugged into or taken out.“ON”, the point is for preheating and normal start of the engine. Plugging the key into this point, preheating indicator light will flash and start engine after the preheating indicator is turned off. “START” the point is for start the auxiliary engine. The engine will start if we turn the key to this point after turning off the preheating indicator. The key will come back to the point “ON” and the engine will work as long as we loose the hand.Note: don’t make the starter work constantly for 10 or more than 10 seconds.

Working light switch

The switch is a control device of lighting light prepared for night sweeping work. When the vehicle is sweeping and needs lighting, it could choose left-front brush lighting or right-front brush lighting, which depends on the requirements of working. The left-front brush is lighted when the switch is turned left. The right-front brush is lighted when the switch is turned right. The working lamp is turned off if the switch is in the middle point.

High pressure water pump switch

This device is to control the electromagnetic clutch of the high pressure water pump. When cleaning is needed, first open the left/right side high pressure water spray nozzle according to the requirement, and then turn this knob to the “on” position. Or if rear spraying, garbage container cleaning are needed, or the high pressure water gun need to be used, turn this knob to “on” position.

Note: Working of this pump without water is banned in case of damage.

This handle is used to adjust working rotate speed of auxiliary engine. Auxiliary engine’s rotate speed can be adjusted according to the amount of the garbage and its sweeping speed. Normally, auxiliary

engine’s rotate speed is 2000r/min. If there is a lot of garbage or the garbage is too big, we can increase the auxiliary engine’s rotate speed to 2200r/min. But it cannot last for a long time.When it is retracted, the auxiliary engine works faster. Whereas, it works slower.

Note: when operating the auxiliary engine’s manual accelerator, we should operate it placidly to avoid auxiliary engine’s rotate speed going up or down sharply. When adjusting the auxiliary engine’s speed, we should watch the auxiliary engine’s working rotate speed meter to avoid the engine working between 1000~1300r/min for a long time, which will increase the abrasion of clutch.

The three-way valve operating handle

This handle is to shift the high pressure water working and relieve the pressure. It is located in the right side of the driving cab and in line with the auxiliary engine accelerator handle. When the high pressure water cleaning is needed, turn up the handle. And if the sewage container cleaning is needed, put the handle down.

2. Usage and maintenance of new vehicleIn order to make the vehicle achieve its capability target and prolong its life span, the engine must running before vehicle works. The operator must read the specification carefully, master operation and know the maintenance principles.Maintenance and running of chassis must refer to user’s instruction manual of chassis. And it must running and maintain logically. If the running has already finished, it must change air filter core, engine oil and engine oil filter core. The sweeping equipment running time should be 20 hours. During the running time, auxiliary engine’s rotate speed should not exceed 1800r/min. And at the same time we should avoid the engine working too fast or rapid acceleration or slowing down sharply. During the running time, we should see carefully whether it has unwonted shake, noise or leakage of oil and water; whether it skids of blower strap and hydraulic pump strap; whether the switch of electric control panel and every instrument work normally. After the running has been finished, it must clean the core of auxiliary engine, replace engine oil and the hydraulic oil of auxiliary engine, and solve troubles during running.

Note: according to the goods supply contract, the running of sweeping equipment can be finished in factory or can be finished during training the customer by manufacturer.3. Operation and matters needing attention1) Checking before driving.a. Check whether the tire’s nuts, nuts of all parts and the axes become loosened, whether the appearance and the air pressure of the tire is in gear, whether the brushes are loosened and the suction port trolley and the brushes are excess fretted, whether the airproof part at the joint of dustbin and blower and back door’s seal and the airproof part of straw are mangled.b. Check whether the vehicle is leakage of oil or water.c. Check the primary and the auxiliary engines’ oil, cooling water, the oil level, trig fluid, the hydraulic oil level, and append them if it is necessary. Fill the tank with water.d. After starting the primary engine, listen whether it works normally and check whether the instrument, light, the trig of driving the vehicle and stopping the vehicle are normal.e. After starting the auxiliary engine, listen whether it works normally and check every instrument and indicator light and the strap of blower and hydraulic pump, whether all handles and switches are agility, whether all brushes work appropriately and whether the clearance between the cupula and the ground is proper, whether the airproof of the back door and the airproof between drawer and tank and the airproof between tank and the place with a draught of blower are in gear.f. After checking, all parts work normally, dustbin is in the primary position, suction plate and brushes are retract, all switches are stopped and auxiliary engine is flameout.2) Working operation.a. After the vehicle is driven to the working place, it must be stopped placidly and at this time the gearlever is at the position of neutral gear and then the manual handle is drew back.

b. The warning light switch is turned and the front and back warning light are turned on. If we are working at night, the floodlight can be turned on if we need.c. The power switch on the console is turned on. The key of auxiliary engine is turned from “OFF” to “ON”, the key is turned continually to start auxiliary engine and make it work slowly after the preheating indicator light goes out. And at this time the

dynamoelectric indicator light and the oil pressure indicator light go out. d. According to the instance of roadbed to decide it should be “left sweeping”, “right sweeping”, or “sweeping”. Then auxiliary engine’s gear stick is drew back to assure engine’s working rotates speed. Brushes’ gear knob is turned to choose the appropriate rotary speed.e. According to the instance of roadbed to decide it should be “left spraying”, “right spraying”, or “suction port spraying”. “left spraying” is chosen when brushes are sweeping left. “Right spraying” is chosen when brushes are sweeping right. And if there is too much dust, all the three water pumps can be turned on to spray water. When high pressure water cleaning is needed, the operator can choose left cleaning or right cleaning according to the requirement and adjust the ball valves on the flow-combining valve to control the cleaning pressure and water flow volume. To get the best cleaning effect, usually the water pressure of the side near the road traffic stone is highest and the pressure on the other side can be adjusted according to the road status. The operator can adjust the ball valve and appropriately decrease the cleaning water volume and the pressure to save the water and prolong the work time.f. The auxiliary engine’s manual throttle handle is drew back and if the rotate speed of auxiliary engine is 1800r/min, then state for 30 seconds. And if there is nothing abnormal and the rotate speed of the blower and brushes are normal, then the gear stick is pulled to the working rotate speed position. (Auxiliary engine’s rotate speed instrument indicates 1800~2200r/min and that can be adjusted according to roadbed’s pollution degree and the working speed)g. The vehicle is stared and drove according to the operating principles of chassis and it sweeps in the proper speed. Observe road condition, keep watch on every meter of electric control panel and observe rear area through rearview mirror.h. If it needs to stop sweeping, the vehicle must stops at the roadside. All switches of water pump must be turned off. Turn speed handle of auxiliary engine to idle speed. The brush handle is turned to the middle place then to “lift”. If a sound “zizi” made by the hydraulic system is heard, turn the handle back to the middle place and now all brushes and the suction port are lifted. Finally stop the auxiliary engine and turn off all warning lights and the electrical switch.k. Stop sweeper when arrive the place to dump garbage. Turn on power switch to start the auxiliary engine and push the handle of open and close container to the position of “open door” to open rear door. When hear the sound “zizi” made by the hydraulic system, the back door is completely opened. Then loosen the handle and it goes back to the middle place. Put the handle into the position of “lift”, the container start to go up and when hear the sound “zizi” once more, loosen the handle and now the container is

up risen to the proper position. After dumping close back door and let container down. (Note: clean up garbage on container tail board before close back door) Finally turn off auxiliary engine and power switch.3). Matters needing attention.a. Before drive sweeper, the suction port and the brushes should on the position of lift. The suction port and the brushes should be checked whether they would fall automatically during long distance running. Please pay attention to avoid hitting of suction port and road obstruction.b. The manual accelerator handle of auxiliary engine should be operated slowly. The auxiliary engine should preheat at idle speed and moderate speed before working. When the water temperature reaches 55 degree centigrade, it can work normally. But the water temperature of both chassis engine and auxiliary engine should not exceed 92 degree centigrade. If the temperature exceeds 92 degree centigrade or the oil pressure indicator light shines, it should stop sweeper to cool and check.c. Watch road condition carefully when sweeping to avoid hitting of brushes and roadside. If there is big obstruction or garbage with diameter is longer than 100mm, do not pass it forcedly, or else the suction port maybe damaged. Picking up the big garbage and putting it into the garbage container through the back small garbage hole of it or skipping it by lift suction port.d. If sweeping result is not very good suddenly, stop sweeper immediately and check if there is big garbage in suction port or suction hose.e. If there is much dust of blower outlet, check whether spraying nozzle is blocked or water is used up. And at the same time, turn off every water pump to avoid the pump damage because of lacking water.f. If there is granulated garbage, such as small stone, adjust brushes rotate slowly to avoid bringing the garbage out of the suction port, and reduce sweeping speed. If there is wet clay along the roadside, in order to get better sweeping result please choose high sweeping speed.g. Dump garbage in time after finish sweeping. Wash inside and outside of container, especially the filter net inside the container, the airproof brim of back door, the inside of the suction port and the sucking hose etc. h. Check and maintain filter system of two engines duly, which improve entering air quality as much as possible. I. There are high pressure spray nozzles on the back of the suction port. They can flush back the debris left on the suction port to ensure the cleaning effect. The water spraying system is equipped on the back of the vehicle for dust suppression and air wetting. These two systems are shifted by a three way ball valve in the rear right of the vehicle.

K. There is high pressure flushing system equipped inside the garbage container. To clean the inside of the garbage container effectively, the operator can open the flushing system when damp the garbage. The operation method as follows: put down the three way ball valve handle inside the cab to the initial position, then turn the three way ball valve on the left flushing frame and turn on the high pressure water pump controller.L. High water level warning system is equipped in the garbage container and also the low water level warning system in the clean water tank. When it alarms from the electric control box, please stop the work, otherwise the water will goes into the blower if too much water in the garbage container and the high pressure water pump will be damaged if no water in the clean water tank.4) Operation tips for sweeping plus high pressure water cleaning:

Before working, adjust the water spraying shelf and every spraying ball valve according to the requirement. Operate normally as the sweeping works and then put the gear of the chassis as working requirement. If do cleaning works, first start the chassis, then open the high pressure pump and begin the high pressure water cleaning works. Otherwise too much water will be spayed, and the dirty water will flow everywhere, which causes second pollution due to the delayed suction. When the works need to be stopped, first the operator should close the high pressure water pump and slow down the engine and head the vehicle for a while then stop it in case the garbage and sewage left under the suction port.

Chapter 5

The Main Structure Introduction and adjustment1. Power Transmission System The auxiliary engine is the power of the special working equipment of cleaning sweeper. The main power of the auxiliary engine is transmitted by clutch to the sucking blower through transmitting strap. Then the working is finished. The other power take off of the auxiliary engine is cleaning, lifting of container, and opening &closing of the back door by the transmitting strap driving the hydraulic oil pump.

The auxiliary engine drives blower by clutch and strap. The transmission ratio of blower and engine is 1:1.15. When the working

rotate speed of the engine reaches 2100r/min， the rotate speed of the blower will reach 2415r/min. The auxiliary engine can

regulate the working rotate speed by soft-axle operation control structure, and point max rotate speed throttle limit screw. The idle speed of auxiliary engine is 750-790r/min, and the max speed is 2200r/min. The min and max speed are fixed while assembly in factory. Please don’t adjust optionally or it will improve oil consumption and affect the normal operation of auxiliary engine and blower.b. The tension of blower transmission strapThe blower transmission strap is narrow V strap .The extent of tension will affect directly the using life of strap and sucking result of blower. Adjusting the position of the tension wheel will realize its looseness and tightness. The vertical force of 60N acts on the middle of the narrow V strap, it is suitable if get deflection of 12mm. 2. Cleaning SystemThere are four brushes placed symmetrically on the two sides of cleaning sweeper frame. The cycloid motor drive brushes to sweep. (Sketch 4 the contact location between brush and ground)The contacting condition of bushes and ground will affect the sweeping effect directly. The adjustment angle of each brush should be adjusted properly according to the wear grade. (Sketch 5 adjustment of brush angle) The detailed adjustments are as follows:a. The adjustment of the front and rear dip angle of brush plates. 1) Loosen the nut placed on the two ends of the pulling-pole, rotate screw, the front and rear dip angle of the brushes can be adjusted.2) Loosen bolt and nut, the adjustment seat angle can be changed.b. Left and right dip angle of the brushesLoosen three fasten bolt, then can rotate brush plate left or right.

The adjustment of ground clearance of front brushFirst lift the brushes to the right position and then adjusting the place of the lifting cylinder in the fixed slot to reach the right ground clearance.d. The adjustment of swinging outside angle of front brush. Loosen the nut for adjusting screw to adjust it to the right swinging outside angle of front brushes. If the brush cannot swing outward in time after it has touched the ground, then adjusting the returning spring of brush. e. The adjustment of the pressure to ground of brushes The pressure to the ground of brushes can be adjusted by adjusting the length of the link on the chain and the length of the adjustment seat.f. The adjustment of the inner and outer angle of the rear brush Loosen the nut on the two ends of adjustment screw, adjusting the length of adjustment screw, the inner and outer swinging of the rear brush can be changed.3. Suction SystemSuction system is one of the important systems of cleaning sweeper. Its adjusting dimensions of each part will affect the functions of the cleaning sweeper. (Sketch 6 suction structure sketch)

In order to make sure to reach the best suction effect, the ground clearance of suction port is very important. That dimension is 5 mm normally, and it can be adjusted by adjust height of supporting rollers located in both sides and rear of suction port. Along with abrasion of supporting roller, the dimension will reduce, so it needs to adjust in time. First loosen each fasten nut, and then adjust the adjusting screw of upper of roller fixed bracket to get proper ground clearance dimension for suction port. In the end we should fasten each spare nut and bolt. To prevent the slip and dip of the front part of suction port from the uneven road when working, a fastener is placed for fastening the swing-pole in the front part of the suction port. This fastener is adjusted properly by manufacturer, if it is too tight it will make the ground clearance of suction port much larger and out-control, and too looseness it will lose its function.

4. Spraying System Spraying system is made up of two parts including low pressure spraying system and high pressure spraying system. During operation, two parts can be working at same time; if just sweeping, the high pressure pump can be closed.

a、The low pressure spraying system includes water tank, water filter, water pump, ball valve and nozzles etc. (Sketch 7 spraying

system sketch).Spraying system includes water tank, water filter, water pump, ball valve, nozzle, etc. (Sketch 7 water connection sketch)The nozzle, which will spray can be selected according to the pollution conditions of roads. It could use right nozzle and suction port nozzle to reduce dust when use the right-side brush sweeping. When use four brushes to sweep and has a lot of dust on road surface it can use left and right nozzle and suction nozzle to reduce dust. Please pay attention to slotted direction when replace and install nozzle. It needs water spurted from left and right nozzle form sector and Coordinate with each other. The exit of suction hose nozzle and suction port nozzle should be installed to down. Please remove nozzle and clean it, install it again if the nozzle is blocked. Note: 1) Clearing the filter regularly, it can make exact cleaning time by look at filter, as it is made of transparent material.

2) Making sure there is enough water volume in the water tank when cleaning sweeper is working for the pump cannot rotate without water.

b、The pressure spraying system includes water tank, water filter, high pressure pump, collecting pipe, distributed water pipe, side

water separator, side water spray frame, spraying gun, flushing device in rubbish container etc..

1）The water filter is quite important part for assuring the lifespan of high pressure pump. Therefore it needs to be cleaned in

time in order to avoid impurity getting into high pressure pump.

2）The high pressure pump is the core component of high pressure water system, and needs to be maintained regularly. The

auxiliary engine working speed cannot be beyond 2300r/min in order to avoid seals worn badly, because it is driven directly by auxiliary engine.

3）The collecting pipe is made up of 3-way ball valve, relief valve and collecting pipe body etc. When starting operation, place

3-way ball valve handle to the position of water separating pipe connected with 3-way ball valve mutually. If not working, 3-way ball valve connects to water tank mutually.

4）The relief valve is important component for ensuring the water pressure not beyond 10MPa. It is necessary to regulate the

pressure before using.

5）Operator can adjust volume of ball valve to control water separating pipe and side separator according to road condition.

6）The water from both sides of nozzles and suction port nozzles is sprayed into sector which covers the edge of each other.

The water from side spraying frame needs to be shaped a water curtain in order to avoid leaving water mark on road.

5. Garbage container and Auxiliary frameThe function of garbage container is to settle and separate the garbage in the airflow, store and dump garbage. The water tank is under garbage container for the purpose of compacting of the complete cleaning sweeper structure and enlarging dumping angle. There is guiding slot, which is convenient for the garbage to go to protection filter net after entering into container. There is filtering net on the rear and upper part of container. The function of filter net is to prevent such as the light garbage leaves and waste paper pieces from entering into blower. The container is made of welded stainless steel with the feature of excellent quality and strong corrosion resistance. It is equipped with lifting cylinder at bottom of container, that cylinder is used to dump garbage. The close and lock of the backdoor is hydraulically controlled. There is a small door in the right side of the backdoor for observing the conditions inside of container. And also can throw large piece of garbage through this door. On the left side of the backdoor, there is a selecting cover for manual sucking hose, which is used to suck garbage that cleaning sweeper does not reach or in the pothole. On the left side of backdoor, there also is a slops exit, which is special for exiting dirty water in rainy day. The auxiliary fame connects the garbage container and other parts with chassis. It is fastened by bolt on the chassis frame. It must check the fastening condition of each bolt before working.6. Hydraulic SystemHydraulic system includes hydraulic pump, hydraulic cylinder, electromagnetic valve, overflow valve, throttle, hydraulic valve group, hand-press valve, hydraulic oil tank, connecting pipeline, etc. Sketch 8 hydraulic principle sketch1) The pressure adjustment of hydraulic system: The overflow pressure of the hydraulic system is 16Mpa. If the overflow pressure

changes during working time, adjust overflow valve, which equipped on upward side of hydraulic valve. The adjustment method is as follows: First loosen the fastening nut on overflow valve, use the 6mm inner hexangular spanner to rotate the core of the valve clockwise in order to enlarge the system pressure. Otherwise, the system pressure will be decreasing. Fasten nut after adjustment.

2) The adjustment of the one-way throttle valve of back door closure: In the hydraulic pipeline to backdoor cylinder, the one-way throttle valve is fixed on the right back part of the auxiliary frame. One-way throttle valve mainly controls return oil flow capacity of the backdoor cylinder when close back door, what decrease the rebound of backdoor. The detailed adjustment is: rotating clockwise one-way throttle valve is enlarging flow capacity; counterclockwise rotating of it is decreasing flow capacity. In front of

the valve there is a hydraulic, which prevent back door from falling when it is opened. The hydraulic lock needs not to adjust, it lock hydraulic system when back door of garbage container is opened. After use cleaning sweeper for some time, when back door falling after open, what proves that hydraulic valve is dirty and seal is not good, it needs to clean timely.

7. Electric Controls and Meter SystemThe electrical system of cleaning sweeper chassis and the electric control and meter system are two independence systems.

1) The cleaning sweeper chassis equipment system is introduced detailed in the User’s Introduction manual of Chassis.

2) The electric control and meter system is consists of electric control box, auxiliary engine electrical component and electromagnetic valve, etc.

Chapter 6

Operation Principles, Skills and Notices1. Operation Taboo

We formally state that our company shall not take the responsibilities for any result caused by user’s improper operation!

1) The cleaning sweeper cannot be drove when container is lifted.

2) The brushes and the suction port should be lifted in right position when out of work.

3) The cleaning sweeper should be in steady and parking brake condition when container is lifted.4) The safe bracket should be hold up to ensure the safe operation when lifting container and entering into the bottom to operated. 5) If cleaning sweeper appears abnormal part, the alarm buzzer will alarm with the relative signals lighting on the control panel at

the same time. Meanwhile, it must stop working immediately and turn off engine. Check the trouble and solve in time.6) The water pump is not allowed to work without water, otherwise pump seal will be damaged.7) If waters water tank by fireplug or high-pressure water, it should remove the cover on the other side, and the water flow should

not be large. If it exist water from outlet, it must stop watering, otherwise the water tank will be damaged.8) It is not allowed to wash the air filter in the hydraulic system to avoid water into the oil tank. 9) It is not allowed to wash the engine radiator by high pressure water to avoid damages of radiating sheets.10)It is not allowed to wash the engine filter to avoid water into the engine. 11)Pay attention to the pressure gauge when testing the hydraulic system pressure to avoid damaging the gauge.12)When stop working in frozen winter, it must drain the cooling water in the radiator water tank, chassis engine and auxiliary

engine. It must add antifreeze for engine, and drain Water in water tank, water pipeline, cooler, water-filter and water pump to avoid damage.

13)If alarming buzzer alarms suddenly during working, what prove that there is not water in water pump. Turn off water pump switch immediately and seek source of water to add water for water tank.

14)After finishing work in the icing area in winter, it must open suction port valve on the entrance pipeline to drain water in water tank, pipeline, and water pump, what avoid to fronts damage water tank, water pump etc.

15)The master power switch is not allowed to turn off if the auxiliary engine is still working.16)The air soot in each engine should be usually checked and eliminated (checking each day is better).2. The start of the auxiliary engine

1) To make sure there is fuel, radiating water and lubricating engine oil in the engine before start auxiliary engine.2) Turn on power switch and insert the key and turn the key to the position of “ON” to make charging indicator light and engine oil

pressure indicator light flash. If the temperature is low, the preheating relay will preheats automatically with indicator light shining. Do next step when preheating indicator light is off.

3) Continue turning key to the end to start auxiliary engine. The start time should not exceed to 5 seconds. Loosen the key immediately after the starting of engine, then the key will back to the position of “ON”. At this time the oil pressure indicator light will go out. If first time fails, it must wait for more than 20 seconds to start again. If after three times starting still does not work, please check and find the reason.

4) After engine starting, let the throttle in idling state for 2-3 minutes, it is not allowed to let the engine run at idle state for over 5 minutes.

3. Running Drive (non-sweeping)

1) Make sure the brushes and suction port have been lifted to right position.2) The power switch of the electric control panel is turned off.3) The garbage container is in the state of downfall and the backdoor is closed.4. Storing State

1) Turn off the main power supply of chassis and the controlling part.

2) When the garbage bin is in the state of downfall, to make sure the backdoor is not locked tightly, for leaving certain clearance will prolong the lifespan of seal bar.

3) Each brush is in the position of lifting, or it will damage brush bristle.

4) Clean the inside of garbage container to make sure there is no garbage in it. 5) The water in the water tank, water pipe, water pump, cooler and water filter should be drained completely.6) The garbage in the suction port and suction pipe should be cleaned completely.7) The cooling water in chassis and auxiliary engine should be drained completely (in winter).

Chapter 7 Maintenance and Adjustment of Cleaning sweeperFor details of the Cleaning sweeper chassis’s maintenance, see the chassis’s instruction manual.The maintenance of auxiliary engine is not included in this chapter.1. Running of new cleaning sweeper Cleaning sweepers from the assembly line or with engine overhaul must have running before normal usage, please replace engine lubricating oil and filter core after running. Running standard is as follows:1.1 Rotation speed of auxiliary engine is 780r/min, no-load running 5 hours. 1.2 Rotation speed of auxiliary engine is 1500r/min, no-load running 5 hours.1.3 Rotation speed of auxiliary engine is 1800r/min, sweeping 5 hours 1.4 Rotation speed of auxiliary engine is 2000r/min, sweeping 5 hours

2. New cleaning sweeper exhaust Cleaning sweepers from the assembly line or after replacement of hydraulic oil must exhaust before operation to ensure the hydraulic system run properly. Steps are as follows (figure 7-1):

2.1 Refuel hydraulic oil tank using filtering oiling machine. Connect one end of the pressure–testing hose with pressure–testing port of hydraulic valve, and let the other end in hydraulic air filter without pressure meter.2.2 Disassemble shutoff electromagnetism valve circuit of engine and use the starter to drive the engine running for 4 times, every time running 20 second with intervals of 20 seconds to ensure that the initial oil into hydraulic pump and pipeline. 2.3 After the engine running 5 minutes with idle speed, please open and close the rear door 6 times and lift the tank 6 times to let air in cylinder out. Please do not stop in the limited position for a long time when do the operation above. Rotate the brushes slowly to exhaust the air of pipeline.2.4 Set each overflow valve to stated pressure and add hydraulic oil to the stipulated level, thus finishing all air exhausting process. Due to air mixed in the hydraulic oil in exhausting, the color is turbid. Please do not running cleaning sweeper until the hydraulic oil

exhausts air and color is clean. 3. Lubrication periodic table of cleaning sweeperIt must do lubrication according to the standard of lubricating table. Lubricating points are as follows:

4.1.4 Inspect the radiator water level of auxiliary engine. 4.1.5 Inspect if the oil or water leaks from the auxiliary engine. 4.1.6 Inspect the oil level of hydraulic oil tank. 4.1.7 Inspect if the hydraulic system leaks. 4.1.8 Inspect if the spraying system leaks. 4.1.9 Inspect if the electronic control system and the lamplight are normal.4.1.10 Inspect if the tires are damaged and the air pressure is normal. 4.1.11 Clean interior of garbage container, suction port and suction hose.4.1.12 Clean complete cleaning sweeper. 4.1.13 Inspect the tension condition of the blower transmission strap and if it is damaged.4.1.14 Clean interior of garbage container and suction filter net.4.1.15 Inspect the angle of the brushes to ground and the abrasion situation 4.1.16 Inspect the cleaning of the filter core. 4.2 Weekly maintenance The series of following weekly maintenance is based on the accomplishment of the daily maintenance.4.2.1 clean air filter of auxiliary engine 4.2.2 Inspect the ground clearance of suction port rubber board and the abrasion condition of roller of suction port.4.2.3 Inspect the liquid level of battery. 4.2.4 Inspect the abrasion condition of the rubber sealing parts of garbage container and suction port.4.2.5 Inspect the abrasion condition and the begrime condition of blower impeller.4.2.6 Inspect the abrasion condition of suction hose.4.2.7 Inspect the aging condition of other rubber components.4.2.8 Inspect abrasion condition of pipeline of hydraulic, spraying, electronic systems.4.2.9 Inspect if engine blower and tension condition of blower strap are normal. 4.2.10 Inspect if the oil and water separator of the two engines have water.4.2.11 Inspect the hydraulic oil if it has the abnormal color such as muddy, whit, black.

4.2.12 Inspect the fasten situation of wheel bolt.4.2.13 Inspect and clean the stored dust on outlet of blower. 4 .2.14 Inspect and clean the water filter. 4 .2.15 Inspect the pollution and damage condition of every engine air filter core. (decide if it is necessary to replace according to the damage degree, but it is proposed to replace)4.3 Quarterly maintenance On the base of weekly maintenance, do the following maintenance every season.

4.3.1 Replace engine diesel filter core. 4.3.2 Replace the lubricating oil and filter core of the auxiliary engine. 4.3.3 Inspect and clean the hydraulic oil tank, oil sucking filter and oil return filter. 4.3.4 Inspect the spraying condition of water pump and the abrasion condition of sealing parts.4.3.5 Inspect and adjust the clearance of the blower bearing. It must adjust clearance of blower bearing after long time running. The methods are as follows: use the special tool to disassemble strap wheel, oil sealed cover, strap wheel ring, hold the blower axle and toggle up and down. Do not adjust if there is not clearance. If there is clearance, please disassemble adjusting nut locking piece, rotate nut clockwise with the standard that the nearest Lock Tongue and adjusting slot alignment, then push and toggle blower axis, it is OK if no clearance and Rotating flexible. Please repeat the above adjustment, after that please replace lubricating oil for blower bearing. The last step is assembling the components. When assemble strap wheel, it should use the special tool, do not hit it, otherwise, it will damage bearing or change clearance of bearing.

4.4 Semiannual maintenance On the base of quarterly maintenance, do the following maintenance every half year.

4.4.1 Inspect the abrasion condition of blower bearing and the sealing parts.

4.4.2 Inspect the abrasion condition of water pump bearing and the sealing parts.4.4.3 Inspect the pure degree of hydraulic oil. The degree must reach to ISO440617/14.4.5 Annual maintenance

On the base of semiannual maintenance, do the following maintenance every year.

4.5.1 The following components must be replaced: hydraulic oil, return oil filter core, pipeline filter core. Clean sucking oil filter and hydraulic oil tank. When replace hydraulic oil please start engine and running 20 second at idle speed to drain residual hydraulic oil.4.5.2 Inspect the pressure of testing pressure point of hydraulic system.
