2011 Welcome to the 9th edition of the Celebrations Wedding & Event Resource Guide. We are once again thrilled to have the opportunity to present you, the latest and greatest trends, ideas and the means to access the best local professionals in the business of staging outrageous weddings and events. The last year has been challenging for everyone in the wedding and event industry. In Central Oregon the total number of weddings remained close to the same, but the dollars spent for those events were considerably lower than in past years. Consequently, competition for clients has increased. In times like these advertising is even more essen-tial. We at Celebrations Wedding & Event Resource Guide are proud to continually provide this marketing tool to all our local professionals. Again this year, we are featuring three outrageous actual weddings from 2010. I’m confident you will find these spreads both interesting and creatively motivating. Each event, illustrates the extreme high calibre of professional skill and artistry that is avail-able here on the High Desert. Moreover, they offer personal snapshots of the sensitivity, joy and magic that permeates the wedding celebration. It’s our goal to share our knowledge and experience in the event industry with you in a effort to make your experience easier and more rewarding. We hope that something in this feature will tap your creative juices and add fuel your imagination. Considering the economic challenges we have all faced this past year, we especially want to thank all our advertisers for there continued allegiance. We believe this publication to be a testament to their tal-ents, dreams and perseverance. We hope you value our efforts to showcase your talents, as much as we value your support.

Looking Forward!

Fresh, monochromatic, periwinkle bridesmaids dresses set the tone for this early August wedding. The overall theme of simplistic elegance is built around solid white floral arrangements enhanced by subtle, complemen-tary elements of lavender and pale blue. The warm, high desert sun greeted guests as they were seated to the sweet sounds of a classical string quartet. Pure white rose arrangements in 20” glass vases made taller by the inclusion of stark manzanita branches, add a soft sophisti-cated touch to table settings. This exquisite combination of charm, romance and style set the tone for a rousing evening of dancing in color coordinated, complimentary “flip-flops.” Nice touch!

oThe fresh and lively tones of lime green and tangerine catapult this June wedding into the category of “whimsical fantasy”! Every single detail lifts the atmosphere and adds to the personal and casual dynamic of the overall concept. From the yellow and orange japanese lantern groupings that hung from the ceiling defining the rows of guest tables; to the capricious floral arrangements, boutonnieres and hair pieces created with bright orange calla lilies, pale peach tu-lips and lime colored orchids, accented with fresh green foli-age, feathers and teal colored ribbons...., every opportunity to add freshness, life and positive “chi” was achieved. Mul-tiple, groupings of random sized, flickering candles added sparkle as the sun faded and the time for dancing and frivol-ity approached. Even two of “man’s best friends” donned their bows and joined in the wedding party. A truly “magi-cal atmosphere” that welcomed it’s guests, saluted the youthful exuberance of the bride and groom and seduced all present into it’s Disney realm of inexplicable Joy! Bravo!

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwVibrant purple bridesmaid dresses dominate this mid-Au-gust wedding. Dynamic bouquets of pale lavender peones, were set on fire by the inclusion of rust colored lilies, fiery calla lilies, and peach roses. With the Sun River and Mt. Bachelor as a backdrop, guests were greeted to the cer-emony by the soothing sounds of a string quartet and a soft warm breeze. Inside the reception hall; bright orange satin napkins draped beneath the dinner plates, boldly comple-ment chocolate brown satin table cloths; while focusing the attention on unique centerpieces composed of glass vases, candles, pine cones, artichokes, hues of lime green and exquisite orchids. The mixture of colors created a magi-cal atmosphere that encouraged love, laughter and feats of unrestrained frivolity.

SPIRITUAL ADVISORS... CEREMONIAL FACILITATORS

Officiants

The total process of planning a wedding can often be most daunting. With so many choices to make and the myriad of op-tions available, it is very possible to become more than a bit overwhelmed. One vital decision in that process is the selection of the proper facilitator for your ceremony. Whether that turns out to be your parish priest or a qualified local officiant, if chosen wisely, their experience at the process as well as their inter-personal skills should impart a genuine sense of comfort and joy to the overall wedding experience.

The wedding ceremony is the ritual that initiates every marriage union. It is the reason for the gathering and the declaration of your intent. Consequently, it is not to be taken lightly. While the main function of the officiant is to facilitate in the confirmation of your vows, they are also there as personal spiritual advisors. They can provide a sounding board and an emotional foundation that can assist you in the preparation for your life together. When choosing an officiant, search for one whose zest for life and appreciation of the sanctity of marriage “oozes” from his or her pores. That powerful dynamic will make a huge difference in not only the energy of your ceremony, but also in your own connection to the message being given. One primary contribution of the presiding officiant will be to impart bits of wisdom regarding your responsibilities as husband and wife. His or her ability to deliver that information with spiritual accuracy, verbal creativity and humor will make a huge difference in the impact of the service and the memory of the overall ceremony. More than anything, when choosing your officiant select someone you respect. An individual who has a strong footing in the present, a bold sense of integrity and a passion for honesty and love. If they can meet these stringent requirements, they will undoubtedly be the perfect choice for you and your partner. Good Luck!

The Designer, Organizer, Problem Solver...... and overall Stress reliever!

ou have had a dream of how your wedding would be in your mind since you were a flower girl at your Aunt Stacy’s wedding when you were just 8 years old. It seems like only yesterday that you sashayed down the center aisle, joyfully tossing pink rose petals... and here you are today, planning your own wedding. Every detail of that dream wedding is perfectly clear in your mind, but how do you bring it to fruition? One of the most efficient ways is to select a coordinator. This person’s job is to bring all the necessary elements together to make that dream a real-ity. Based on their local knowledge and professional expertise, a qualified coordinator can be your saving grace during the development process of your event. Their connections with venues, contractors, entertainers, florists, cake designers, rental companies and necessary service professionals can save you hours of time and tons of headaches. Beyond the design and development process, they can also supply the necessary direction to keep everything and everyone involved on a strict and effective time line. This will take strain off of you and allow you to enjoy the process with far less stress. Even more important... who will be there to facilitate table striking, paying contractors, rental return and clean-up. That’s not something you want to have to think about on your wedding day. These jobs can all be handled by a talented and professional coordinator. Your job is to focus on your future spouse, your family, friends and yourself. Leave all the worry to those who do it for a living. Professional Coordinators!

A decision involving Style, Tradition and Attitude!

Have you ever noticed how a man’s perception of style completely clashes with that of a women! It’s not exactly rocket science. As has been journal-istically noted..”Men are from Mars...Women are from Venus!” Actually, we might not be quite that far apart. Nevertheless, there is definitely a contrast in our decision making process when it comes to apparel. Women are born with a powerful sense of self. I think all would agree that they come from a place of feeling and emotion. Consequently, their percep-tion of appearance is much more personal. Fashion is a necessary adjunct of their overall appearance. It is a tool to showcase and enhance their own natural beauty. Clothing choices are made to match seasons, events and most of all their own skin and hair color. These notions are totally foreign to the male brain. So what does the man consider when choosing apparel? It’s often been said, “clothing makes the man.” Somehow, I don’t think that guys got the memo. Men don’t seem to place as much emphasis on clothing as women do. Looking good is merely an impulse response to be-ing comfortable. Racks of suits or rows of shoes are not as valued as simple comfort! Personal expression seems to be a more important factor than overall appearance. Don’t get me wrong, they still like to look appropriate, but let’s just say there are fewer requirements for success. Men have a unique desire to be themselves, no matter what society or GQ dictates. Consequently, they value their uniqueness when it comes to what they wear. It’s more a personal image than a fashion statement. So how does a fairy princess coexist with a rogue cowboy? Simple! Do your own thing. As they say, “boys will be boys!” Men will always be enamored and excited by the sight of a gorgeous and well-dressed women. Don’t change a thing. However, when it comes to men; direction is often better implemented as subtle“suggestion!”

DecorationsCan turn the “Demure” into the “Dynamic”

Benjamin Edwards PhotographyAvayah Photography

Tullis Photography

Avayah Photography

Whether you are planning the simplest private party or the most elaborate wedding imaginable, decorations are the key ingredient to changing an otherwise mundane space into a magical experience for the eyes. Your first challenge is to define the general theme of your event. Is the emotion your attempting to capture that of romance, elegance, excitement, passion, playfulness or frivolity. Each and every decision you make from this point on is based on this one major design consideration. It’s now time to let your imagination go “WILD”! Don’t put any stops on the possibilities. Once the vision begins to come together, it’s time to consult with local rental professionals to decide how to make the dream become reality.

Transforming a stoic white tent into a palatial boudoir of white chiffon is a small challenge for a good rental company. Anything is possible. If you can dream it, an experienced rental company can make it happen. But atmosphere is only as strong as the details that support the basic concept. How do you tie in your linens, china, chairs, colors and floral arrangements. The rental company is your “genie in the bottle” for all aspects of your design concept. China, glassware, linens, crystal stemware, flatware, vases, chairs, tables, chandeliers and props of all kind are read-ily available from most professional rental companies. Don’t be afraid to ask for something outrageous! If they don’t have it on site, there is a very good chance they know exactly where to get it. The bottom line is.... don’t stifle your idea by not being able to personally find the exact components you’re looking for. That’s where the professional decorator can make the biggest difference. Reach out to them with your inspiration and challenge them to make it happen. If you make the leap of faith, I am certain you will turn the “demure” into the “dynamic.”

Each and every year, I am amazed by the myriad of styles and color combinations that come to life in bouquets, boutonnieres and table arrangements. In each and every case, the artistry of these profession-als not only dresses the scene, but also creates the foundation for the overall theme or style of the wed-ding. Even the traditional bridal white rose can find itself electrified by bold color accents of fusia, rust or vermilion.

A simplistic splash of bold color can transform a formal black tuxedo from traditional to tremendous... or ignite a simple tan suit from the category of casual to “criminal”! The genuine magic lies in the artful hands and imagination of the in-dividual florist. The challenge in succeeding at their task comes from the plethora of creative elements available to create their works of art. Their pallet consists of just about any living thing “Mother Nature” can grow in the ground or in the air. From voluptuous local blossoms of chrysanthemums, lilies or sunflowers..... to exotic, tropical stems, stark manzanita branches, feathers, cacti or the parasitic mistletoe, any and every item has a proper place in the perfect arrangement. The success-ful finished product is a calculated balance of shape, scale, color and texture, carefully woven together to fortify a select emotion, enhance a chosen theme or exemplify a visual concept. To the average individual, this process seems quite daunting. To the trained professional, it’s a delightful escapade in creative freedom and personal expression. No matter what you are envisioning, a local professional can combine the perfect ingredients to create the ultimate floral statement. And after the last toast has been made and you have boarded your car-riage to carry you to your future, consider donating your arrangements to a dynamic organization like “friends with flowers” where they will be made over into vibrant arrangements for local Hospice patients. A most noble cause and a fitting addition to the life of your works of art!

The wedding cake has long been a major focal point at wedding receptions. Spectacular, edible works of art have emblazoned the pages of our magazine for the last eight years. Without fail, we have consistently been amazed by the imagination and creative skill of these art-ful bakers. Just when we think we have seen the most outrageous or most exquisite cake possible, we are thrown to the canvas by a new creation, style or idea. This year is no exception. No matter how wild the finished product, “taste” still remains the most important factor in a good cake. From that point on, it seems there are absolutely “no rules.” The days of the classic, white iced, tiered layer cake have long gone. The modern wedding cake has evolved into a much more personal expression of emotion, imagination, beauty and at times whimsey. Every year, brides and grooms seem more and more focused on unique details and personal expression at their celebrations. This quest for individuality has given rise to a new and dominant desert trend. “Cupcakes!”

Though most brides still choose to include the traditional “cutting of the cake” ritual at their reception, these delectable little treats have made a big splash at receptions in the last twelve months. There are many reasons for this transformation. Cupcakes are in themselves.... individual desert portions. They require very little effort to serve, which saves time at the reception. The ability to personalize each individual cake offers a great opportu-nity to enhance the chosen theme as well as infuse color. They also impart a less formal; more spontaneous element to the reception. Not to mention they are “America’s favorite desert” and especially fun for the kids. While the centerpiece of most of today’s receptions is still the artful wedding cake, tiered mini cake trees offer a fun alternative and can be a powerful element in your overall design concept. No matter which path you choose; traditional cake, cupcakes or both...., the finished product should enhance the flavor of the atmo-sphere of your reception! Remember to keep it fun! After all, a wonderful dessert is the “icing on the cake” to a magical wedding day.

Catering wOne part ingredients, One part taste, One part visual impact!

There is no way to get around the fact that food is the centerpiece of most wedding receptions and private parties. The big three questions are; what to provide, how will it taste and who will prepare it? Most local resorts have on staff chefs that will work with you to come up with a menu that is to your liking and fits within your budget. However, if your affair is at a location without a paid culinary expert, your best option is to search out a local caterer. In this situation, we have a few suggestions that might influence your decision. We are fortunate in this area to have a number of extremely talented professionals that produce amazing culinary wonders. Before making a choice, interview several providers. Ask for a private meeting where you can discuss your entire event plan. This gathering is primarily an ‘ice breaker” to establish rapport and get some basic idea of their background, their ability and their creative perspective. From this meeting, a general concept of a proposed menu should evolve. Your next step will be to request an actual tasting of the items on the short list. Make certain that your tasting of items is timed in a like manner to the schedule of your actual event. This helps to access the temperature and doneness of each item that will be served on the actual day of your event. Be sure to sample every item from the smallest hors d’oeuvres to the giant prime rib! Keep in mind that part of the allure of food is the way it looks on the plate. Take time to evaluate the overall presentation. Is the combination of items on the appetizer platters exciting

to look at? Do the colors of items jump out? You might even consid-er foods that support your design concept in shape, texture or color. A talented professional caterer will create a culinary spread that will not only tantalize the eye, but will also tease the aural senses and satisfy the pallet. Once you decide on the chef that fits your needs, ask for a detailed contract. Make sure to include specific instructions on timing, set-up, service, and cleanup. Be very clear on who is responsible for all the prep items, dinnerware, flatware and glassware. Lastly, if alcohol is being served, check that they have the proper permits required for service. If not, there are several local companies that provide that service. From this point on, all you have to do is... Eat! Drink and be merry!

STOLEN MOMENTS! Benjamin Edwards Photography

Over the years, how many times can you remember view-ing photographs of events, family gatherings, special occa-sions or spectacular scenic landscapes visited? Photogra-phy offers us a “snippet”, or if I could be so trite, “snapshot” of a specific moment in time. Each individual image taps our memory and quite often, touches our heart in ways we cannot completely explain. What is in that emulsion, color and ink that when com-bined in just the right way, elicits emotions within us that are often hidden from our sight in average situations and normal encounters. How can an isolated millisecond of time be so powerful? It is in great part due to the artistic eye of the individual behind the lens. The images in this spread are only a few of the many amazing and striking shots that capture brazen moments in time in a way that is unique and wonderful. In each and every case, the creativity and talent of the photographer is nothing short of “Magical”. With thousands of photos to choose from, and only a small amount of page space available in the magazine, it is impossible to exhibit all the photos we believe deserve to be a part of this section. However, it goes without saying that in every case, the pho-tographers showcased in this years edition, are among the finest artists anywhere in the country.

Beauty Everyone knows most brides are ex-tremely focused on appearance just be-fore their “big day.” Consequently, the cosmetic and hair services that a bride chooses for herself and her bridal party will be a crucial decision. That decision is made even more critical, due to the fact that the photos created on that day will be treasured for a lifetime. When choosing a hairstylist or makeup artist, it is important to find someone that will do both hair and makeup ser-vices. This will guarantee having a co-hesive, harmonious style for your overall look. Before choosing a stylist, ALWAYS ask for a portfolio of the artists work. Personal testimonials from previous brides can also assist you in making a decision. The most important thing is for you to feel completely comfortable with the ability of the chosen profes-sional. This will reduce “wedding day stress” and get your special day started on the right foot.

Bridal makeup needs to do a lot more than everyday makeup. It needs to look natural and stunning up close. To ensure the best quality photographic oppor-tunities on the day you have been dreaming about for so long, make sure that your makeup artist will be using photographic quality makeup. Most of all, select a professional that you are confident will make your special day even more special by her spirit as well as her artistry. Her joy and talent should add to the excitement of your entire wedding experience.

By Stephanie Yun, Captured Memories Videography

VIDEOGRAPHY

Did you ever play the “memory game” as a child? You probably eas-ily snatched up matching pairs left and right, just like the early TV show, “Concentration”. Unfortunately as we age, we often also lose some ability to remember. Add to that, the stress of the event and the myriad of ele-ments encompassing your wedding day; chances are you’ll be left with only a fuzzy recollection of the entire event. That’s where professional wedding videography comes in. For the rest of your life at any given time, you will be able to pop in the DVD of your wedding and relive it as if it just happened. In fact considering the magnitude of the event and the multitude of people and experiences go-ing on simultaneously, many couples feel the video makes them a part of many things they were not actually able experience on the actual day of their wedding. Your guests’ giggles as the flower girl sprints down the aisle hurling flower petals in every direction!... Grandma show-ing off her Hokey Pokey skills during the cocktail hour!... Uncle Ted balancing a cupcake on his nose at the reception! The most important factor to consider in hiring a professional is whether or not they are adept in not only capturing chronological events, but also physical emotions. Like the look on the face of your groom when he first see’s you coming down the aisle..... Or the tears in your dad’s eyes as his “baby’ kisses her new husband. Professional videographers are experienced in the nuptial process and typically anticipate dynamic moments and tender exchanges. Moreover, they usually capture your event utilizing more than one camera. This allows for multiple camera angles of specific happenings and assists in producing a professional and creative finished product.

So how do you choose the right professional to film your wedding day? Beyond the obvious prices, you’ll want to check out sample vid-eos. This includes typical raw stock and full finished DVD’s. Make sure they utilize high grade, professional video and audio equipment. Aside from the motion aspect, the audio portion of the video sets it apart from still photography and personalizes the end product. Most importantly, make sure that your personalities are compatible. If you don’t feel really comfortable when you interview prospective video companies, chances are you won’t feel at ease with their presence at your event or their ap-

proach to your video images. Be certain that you fully under-stand their individual approach to filming your event. There are many different styles among videographers. Some are adept at capturing and producing a traditional documentary style. While others lean to a more artistic and cinematic approach like you would see in the movie theater. Also, be certain of the scope of the end product. Clearly define what elements of your wed-ding you absolutely must have and to what degree they should be included. Entire wedding ceremony or highlights? Detailed toasts from individuals or comical snippets? You’ll want to do your homework by viewing as much of their work as you can. Although you certainly need to respect your budget restrictions, skimping on the cost of your wedding video is a decision you might regret. The finished product has the ability to clearly and concisely document an event that will be of significant importance to family, friends and generations to come. Wouldn’t you love to see your own grandparents wedding day? To watch as they made their vows... “promising to love honor and respect each other until death!” To listen to their youth-ful laughter and joyful surrender! A professionally composed wedding video is a gift that can bridge generations and bring joy for years to come.

A lasting documentary of Joy!

SHOWERS & PRE-PARTIESFun! Fantasy! Frivolity!

ongratulations! You just got engaged. What happens next? Well it’s time to put on your dancing shoes, toss reality to the wayside and just engage in serious...PARTYING! That’s right. The first in the long string of individual celebrations is usually an Engagement Party. From there trends usually dictate, a Bridal shower to introduce all the female bridal participants, and the traditional Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties. In most cases the hosting of these parties is usually the responsibility of close friends and family members. In each case the direction and theme of the event is totally up for grabs. Today’s wedding showers vary greatly from those of years ago. No longer are they stuffy little gatherings with tea and crumpets. Nowadays, pretty much.... anything goes! Sunday afternoon picnics, pool parties, brunches, limo parties, spa outings, barbecues, football games, paintball outings, raft trips, barbecues and just about any activity you can imagine are all acceptable. The

only thing to remember is that the parties should be kept informal and that the gifts should be appropri-ate to the crowd. The individual parties for the bride and groom are still traditionally gender specific. These private gatherings are typically thrown respectively by the Best Man and Maid of Honor. When you consider the fact alcohol is often included and that parties of the opposite sex are not generally in attendance, camera’s are best left in the hotel rooms. Whatever the specific event, make it a special celebration that will be remembered for many years to come!

CARRIAGE? LIMOUSINE? BICYCLE BUILT FOR TWO? One of the last items to hit the wedding planning sheet is often transportation. How will you, your wedding party and your groom get to the barber, the hairdresser, the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony location and the reception. This might not be as critical an issue at a site that is all inclusive, like a resort. However, it might be a critical issue if you have chosen a location that is private or remote, like a lodge retreat or private golf club. In either case, it’s never a bad idea to make a “grand entrance!” How about a horse drawn carriage... to feel like a genuine princess? What about an elegant, chauffeured stretch limousine to be at your disposal for your entire wedding? Maybe you and your partner have enjoyed whirlwind outings screaming across the High Desert on high powered two-wheeled vehicles. Make a real statement and arrive at the church with your groom on your favorite Harley with you in the sidecar. Nothing is out of the question these days! No matter what idea trips your fancy, all can be found with a little work here on the high desert. If your celebration is going to include numerous out of town guests, group shuttle transportation might be a consideration. In each and every case, the security that you will have in knowing all important parties are going to be pampered and on time for the individual events that comprise your special day is easily worth the cost of the service. It’s your wedding day! Satisfy your fantasy!

Can be the foundation of energy at your reception!Disc Jockey’s The most memorable aspect of any wedding is typically the energy and craziness of the reception. A Wedding Enter tainment Director (WED) is quite often the primary catalyst behind this outcome. A seasoned professional disc jockey is the perfect choice for this position. He can usually design your celebration as serene and elegant as you desire, or as “rockin” as you can possibly handle. With thousands of music titles in their database, DJ’s can accommodate anyone’s request from Dorcey to Def Leppard or Sinatra to Shakira. This is especially handy when your guests range in age from 7 to 70. However, the number of songs available is not the only factor in securing the perfect DJ. A professional DJ should have pro-grade equipment. The ipod and boom box that cousin Bob wants to bring does not produce the same clarity and output as two, 2-way 15” speaker cabinets with full range horns, and two 18” bass subs powered by 2000 watts of clean dedi-cated power. Moreover, a 1950 Silver tone amp does not have the same dynamic range as a pro-line JBL speaker cabinet. Make cer tain, not only that your DJ uses high quality professional equipment, but also that he has backups for all critical pieces in case of a problem. Besides the music content and equipment, seasoned professionals should be adept at seamlessly incorporating and facilitating all the elements of the reception. Coaching the nervous Best Man through his duties; making necessary announcements and directing attention to specific reception rituals contributes to the overall flow of the event and makes for a greater chance your guests will get in the groove and enjoy the par ty. The selection of a disc jockey can often make the difference between a reception’s success or failure. Be cer tain your personalities are compatible and you are totally comfor table with his appearance, his demeanor and his professional ability. Don’t be afraid to test his or her music knowledge or challenge their list of references. A good DJ has a long list of successful wedding clients and is more than will-ing to share that information with you. Ask if they are accredited with any professional associations. Most associations have stringent requirements and a strict code of ethics to assure you of their experience and business practices. If you find a personality you like, they meet all your specifications and are available for your event; sign a contract and secure them right away. The best go fast, so don’t make this your last reception decision. Make sure you define all your requirements in detail, from the songs you don’t want played to their attire. Keep in mind... anyone can play music, but it takes a seasoned professional to have the talent to motivate individuals and direct energy. Rock on!

Live Entertainment

It’s a simple fact; Live, Professional Entertainment creates an atmospheric emotion that promotes energy and encourages audience participation. If chosen properly, it’s the on earth personification of celestial perfection! OK...? Maybe, I got a little carried away! But, it definitely can make a difference in the success or failure of a dynamic wedding reception or social event. With so many options available, it’s difficult to find the right match for your specific event. That’s where a professional entertainment advisor becomes essential. They can save you tons of time by utilizing their knowledge and experience in the industry to find you just the right entertainment to match your event, your style and your budget. Remember, the last thought that your guests leave with is traditionally the thought that carries forward. Consequently, make that thought one of LAUGHTER, EXHILARATION, EXCITEMENT and JOY!

HONEYMOON

Have you always dreamed of getting married on a warm beach? How about a castle in Europe or even onboard a cruise ship? Destination weddings are becoming all the rage and can often work within your budget. Within certain guidelines, some hotels and resorts even offer free wedding packages! Contacting a professional travel consultant who specializes in destination weddings can save you countless hours of research and stress. A professional travel specialist can work with you to inform you regarding all the requirements and unique details necessary to ensure that your marriage abroad is stress free and legal in the US. Not everyone dreams of a wedding aboard a luxurious cruise ship or on a remote island. Nevertheless, few newlyweds dream of spending the days following their wedding walking down the streets of their hometown shaking hands and accepting “congratulations!” Most would like to travel somewhere exotic or at least private to initiate their union and regroup after the rigors of 9 months of planning and executing the “perfect wedding.” Considering the present economy and budget being an ever present issue, deciding on a destination that fits your pocketbook can be a genuine problem. Even with the advent of the internet; photos, recommendations and the written word on a computer screen can be not only inadequate, but also deceiving. This is where the knowledge, experience and expertise of a professional travel specialist becomes invaluable. With their first hand knowledge of destinations and repeated recommendations of happy clients, they can save you time, money and disappointment. Don’t give up on your dream. With the help of knowledgeable profession-als, just about anything is possible. If funds are tight, consider setting up a “honeymoon registry” for your guests to contribute to in lieu of a wedding gift. Remember, most all travel specialists offer their services for FREE! Why waste hours of your own time online searching for the perfect destination, when a seasoned professional can direct you there in minutes. Most of all... Dream BIG and Love LONG!
