Cencorp Feeders
Cencorp’s Axial Tape Feeder feeds through-hole components horizontally from reels or compo-nent ammo boxes. The compo-nents are centered on the picking point to ensure accurate and reli-able assembly. Axial feeders are provided with a pre-forming unit, which shapes component leads to the correct pitch for insertion into the PCB.
FEEDER RANGE Odd-form assembly
The Radial Tape Feeder is designed to feed through-hole components from reels or com-ponent boxes. The components are centered on the picking point to ensure accurate and reliable assembly. Radial feeders can be provided with a pre-forming unit, which shapes component leads to the correct pitch for insertion into the PCB.
Bowl Feeders are provided for different customer needs; the feeder’s design is determined by the shape, size and packaging of the components. A bowl feeder is the ideal choice for compo-nents delivered in bulk. Here Cencorp works in cooperation with Swiss AFAG GmbH.
The new generation of tube feeder that is used to feed odd-form components that are packaged in plastic tubes. The new tube feeder provides faster cycle time and smoother feeding than the old type. The new tube feeder is 20 mm slimmer than the earlier version, therefore allowing more feeder capacity.
The Angular Tube Feeder is used to feed odd-form components packaged in plastic tubes. The feeder provides fast and smooth feeding, and the tube changing time is not reflected in the cycle time.
The Horizontal Tube Feeder is meant for feeding odd-form components packaged in plastic tubes. The feeder is designed for components that do not slide in the tube easily due to their weight or sharp leads.

Total flexibility in material feeding
Odd-form components can be supplied in many different types of packaging, which makes it more difficult to automate their placement. To tackle this prob-lem, Cencorp has developed a range of feeders to meet the requirements of the broad range of package types encountered by manufacturers. These include feeders for axial tape, radial tape, tube, tray and custom packages.
All feeders use the same mechanical, electrical and pneu-matic quick release interface, making them totally interchange-able. This also makes it possible to change feeders in seconds.
Each feeder has its own Pro-grammable Logic Controller (PLC) enabling independent operation.
Leads are cut to length and pre-formed on the feeders; thanks to this these processes are no longer off-line functions. Further-more, to ensure production con-tinuity, feeders can be reloaded whilst the cell is operational.
