2008, March 18THE FOUNDATION—The Cyprus Germany Business Association was founded as a result of the efforts of CCCI, the founding President Mr. George Michaelides, now Honorary President, and the German Embassy to Nicosia.
December 17, 2011BUSINESS LUNCH
—A business lunch was held
in Nicosia, with keynote speaker Dr. Wolfgang Merz from the German Ministry
of Finance: “The global financial crises and the
consequences it will have for Europe and especially for Germany and Cyprus”

October 27, 29, 2009BUSINESS FORUMS
HAMBURG & FRANKFURT—
The two Cyprus Business Forums were successfully held in
Hamburg and in Frankfurt. Mr Antonis Pascalides, Minister of
Commerce, Industry and Tourism, headed the delegation
of Cypriot officials and entrepreneurs.

In co-operation with CCCI, the Cyprus Trade Centre in Germany and the Chamber of Commerce Upper Bavaria in Munich, CGBA
organised three business forums, promoting Cyprus as a base for
business operations in the MENA region.
2012, March 22BUSINESS FORUM HAMBURG—Our Association in co-operation with CCCI, the Cyprus Trade Centre in Germany and the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce organised with great success a Business Forum in Hamburg, titled “Cyprus - an EU Gateway to the Middle East”

FRANKFURT, MUNICH—
In co-operation with CCCI and the Cyprus Trade Centre in Germany,
CGBA organised two business forums, promoting Cyprus as a base for business operations in the MENA
region, and as an advanced EU jurisdiction for alternative funds
companies (EU-AIFs).
2016, June 22GENERAL ANNUALMEETING—The Annual General Meeting 2016 was held at the premises of CCCI.A new and very enthusiastic Board of Directors has been elected. The new Board appointed a new President and two new Vice Presidents.

2016, September 27NETWORKING COCKTAILLIMASSOL—CGBA organises a Networking Cocktail at the Londa Hotel in Limassol, introducing the “new” Association, its goals and activities to Members and to the public.

ENTHUSIASTICAL COMMITMENTThe current Board Members are keen to drive the Association to new heights and to expand its scope of services. Therefore, it decided to meet every last Tuesday of the month. In order to increase efficiency and to better face the work load, the Board increased the number of Vice Presidents from one to two.
