Which type of event is National Youth Summit and

why?Because National Youth Summit enhanced

leadership capacity, build confidence, introduced the youth to the social challenges, inculcated

responsibility, ensured intercultural & interfaith harmony and provide an opportunity to network with the youth around the country. It’s a unique leadership development program that will bring together outstanding and focused young people

from around the country to build critical leadership skills in an inclusive and global context. Moreover, the summit will help in creating cultural harmony,

shall pool the young talent around the country, and evolve regional strategies to address issues of discrimination, unemployment, identity and

extremism.

Azad Kashmir remains an impoverished region, and the 2005 earthquake’s toll

continues to haunt the area. It is vital to develop

social bonding and community engagement with the various other regions of the country

due to the fact that lesser economic activities have developed lesser interest

of other regional population to visit AJK.

Mission Accomplished!

OBJECTIVES ACHIEVED

The National Youth Summit served as an intellectual platform, bringing together the youth from different areas of Pakistan, creating an inductive space for dialogue and promote constructive actions to ensure beneficial future of youth. Additionally, the event has the potential to emerge area specific social action projects led by regional youth groups.

Some of the main objectives achieved include:

• Take personal responsibility for exercising leadership• Develop an awareness of social needs and issues• Improve interpersonal and group communication skills• Create self-esteem and groom their personalities • Exercise their leadership abilities in the communities where they live• Cultivate an understanding and appreciation of multi-cultural diversity• Install a passion for community service• Create harmony and peace through acceptance of cultural diversity and interfaith bonding

MADE AN IMPACT!

It provided an opportunity to display a positive image of various communities and regions within the boundary of Pakistan, but it also provide an opportunity to the young people to experience living in an environment which is their own, yet unrecognized. It was an opportunity to the young people nationally to show their skills, share best practices, enhance cooperation and advance intercultural and interfaith harmony.

Furthermore, social action projects would make up a possible scenario where the young people can mobilize communities, stand for their rights, work jointly on common interests and form partnerships to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.

It bring the positive change in the Youth. They are committed to use this Change in the Society!

Youth are well aware of their responsibility for fostering the change in the Society. Youth inherited the positive change within that will influence others and so on.
