How to Calculate HOPE GPA

1. Convert all Academic classes’ numeric grades to a 4.0 scale grade

2. Multiply each grade in step 1 by the credit value of the course

3. Add up all values in step 2

4. Divide the total from step 3 by the total number of credits Attempted by the student

Example:

Grades 4.0 Scale Credits

Algebra=89 ==> 3.0 X 1.0 =3.0

English=92 ==> 4.0 X 1.0 =4.0 8.0 total

Psychology=76 ==> 2.0 X .5 =1.0

2.5 credits attempted

8.0 divided by 2.5 credits= 3.2 GPA
