2. Announcements

The Healthy Meals in Schools Programme (HMSP) by Health Promotion Board (HPB) encourages healthier food and beverage choices in schools. This programme aims to help students cultivate healthy eating habits right from their youth. Under this programme, canteen vendors need to follow food service guidelines as follows:

Cutting down fat, sugar and salt

Serving whole grains, fruit and vegetables

Serving healthy set meals which incorporate food from the 4 main food

groups- brown rice, wholemeal bread, meat and others, vegetables and

fruit

We are pleased to inform that the school canteen has been assessed by HPB’s nutritionists and dieticians as having met the guidelines for HMSP. students let their creativity run and get their hands down to bringing their amazing ideas to life. Through SCSA, these students get to engage in exploratory and skilful play with the addition of science learning. In Term 2, Changkat Primary School organised the SCSA Internal competition with more than 90 toys submitted for the competition. 30 toys were shortlisted for the competition at the Science Centre. More than 4000 toys were sent for the competition nationwide and only 40 toys were selected. We are very pleased to announce that 2 of our students’ entries have won the Merit Award.

4. Homework for Pr 1-5 Pupils (17-18 Aug 2017, Thurs-Fri)

PSLE Oral will be conducted on 17 and 18 Aug 2017 which will also be non-school days for students in Pr 1-5. During these two days, E-learning will be carried out for these students. Teachers may also supplement E-learning assignments with written assignments. Students are expected to complete their e-assignments by Sunday, 20 Aug 2017. 5. Road Safety Education for P4 students on Thursday , 24 August 2017

All primary 4 students will be participating in Road Safety Education during which they will learn about good road safety habits in a simulated traffic environment. The event will be carried out at the Road Safety Community Park on Thursday, 24 August 2017 from 2.00pm to 4.30pm. Students are expected to return to school by 5.00pm. All participating students must be in their PE attire, with girls wearing their school skirts as well. Students will need to bring a small bag containing their water bottle, a pen and snacks.
