●What is a Coup de tat? ●Can start good but usually turn bad●Nazism–Based on Racial Superiority–Not being Arian (White) meant death●Communism–Pure- seen as Utopian–History has not been good though
Advantage/Disadvantage
Dictatorship ADVANTAGE: Efficiency; can make things happen NOW!
DISADVANTAGE: Legitimacy; quick to wear out welcome---you receive all of the blame
Monarchy ADVANTAGE: Tradition; you know what is expected
DISADVANTAGE: Incompetency for years to come. One bad leader usually leads to another.
Totalatarianism
Communism (used in Stalin’s Soviet Union) Communist party holds all the power
Hostility to religion and human rights

Fascism (used in Mussolini’s Italy) Ruler holds all the power
