The Arkansas Corvair Club met at the home of Clyde and Dee Jones, in Everton, on Saturday, April 18.

The meeting was called to order by president Frank Campbell.

We were pleased to have 25 ACC members, from various parts of the state, attending our combination barbeque luncheon and monthly club meeting.

At this meeting, Frank welcomed several members who cannot easily travel to central Arkansas for our Tuesday-night, monthly meetings. These members were George and Barbara Koenig, from Mountain Home; and Jerry and Donna Pentzer, from Ozark. Jerry and Donna are new Corvair Club members, having joined in October 2008.

After welcoming remarks, the minutes from the March meeting were approved as published in the April newsletter. Old Business

Frank announced the slate of candidates for club offices and for the board of directors. Those nominees were:

Officers President, Frank Campbell Vice President, Bill Smith Secretary, JB King Treasurer, Elvis King

Directors Al Embrey Joe Espejo Clyde Jones Aaron Swift

Frank asked members if there were any other nominations for club offices or for the board. No one offered any other names for these positions.

April Meeting Minutes

JB King

Todd Sanders moved that we accept the current slate of officers who agreed to serve another term as well as the four members who agreed to serve on the Board of Directors. The motion was seconded and passed by unanimous vote.

Congratulations to our officers and directors elected to serve for the 2009-2010 term. New Business

There was no new business discussed. Announcements

Frank Campbell reported that he was contacted, in early April, by charter ACC

member Gerald McBroom, from Fayetteville. Due to health problems, Gerald wants to sell his 1964 Corvair Monza coupe. The car is a 110 hp, 4-speed, with white exterior and new, red interior, and tinted glass. Gerald states that the car has 96 k miles and is in “very good mechanical condition.” He is asking $3,500 or best offer. His phone number is 479 304-6182.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

JB King
