CHICKEN IN A BARREL: PURPOSE DRIVEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

I may be biased here but
entrepreneurs promote
and advance some of the
very best values in our
society. For almost all
successful entrepreneurs,
financial success is an
important goal that, more often than not, is secondary to or a by-product
of a mission and purpose to achieve more and help others. Mike Pierce is
a great example of purpose driven entrepreneurship and an entrepreneur
who by doing good for others has created an amazing business and brand.
The origins of Chicken in a Barrel BBQ can’t be found in any business
planning books or in any classrooms but, rather, from life experiences and
a genuine purpose and mission. Prior to founding Chicken in a Barrel BBQ,
in addition to being a commercial real estate developer Mike Pierce is and
remains a pastor of the Calvary Chapel North Shore. As part of community
outreach and service, Mike and his team would cook for and feed the
homeless and less fortunate. Located in Hawaii, based on his passion for
barbecue Mike decided to adopt the cooking and smoking techniques of
the old time gold miners who would cook and smoke their food in metal
barrels. What followed next was feeding others
on the beaches of Hawaii with smoked chicken,
amazing barbecue and an overwhelming demand
for Mike’s barbecue.

So in 2010, Mike and his family founded the
original Chicken in a Barrel BBQ located in Kapaa,
Hawaii and in 2012, they opened a second
location in Hanalei, Hawaii. We are extremely
proud to be representing Mike, his family
and team members, Brent Bierma and Patrick
Pepper, as they launch their Chicken in a Barrel
BBQ franchise.
Mike and his team have build two highly
acclaimed destination barbecue restaurants
comprised of a roadside stand and a restaurant.
Chicken in a Barrel has turned into a family
business and the overwhelming demand for
their barbecue has also turned into a passion
to expand with franchisee partners that share
similar community values and purpose as Mike
and his family.
If you are in Hawaii, be sure to visit Mike and if you are evaluating a unique business and franchise concept, you will want to learn more

FRANCHISE GROWTH LABS: DIRECT RESPONSE MARKETING SERVICES FOR EMERGING FRANCHISORS
Announcing the launch of FRANCHISE GROWTH
LABS, a service of The Internicola Law Firm, PC.
Franchise Growth Labs is all about Direct Response Marketing
and how emerging businesses and franchise systems can
leverage various media, marketing programs and customer
relationship management systems to scale-up and grow their
businesses.
Far too often entrepreneurs, emerging businesses and franchise
systems fall victim to “marketing vendors” who are intent on
selling advertising - whether pay per click, SEO, print or media
ads - without ensuring that their clients have the necessary
systems and marketing funnels to take advantage of those
advertising mediums.
Franchise Growth Labs is all about assisting our clients in
developing attraction media, marketing funnels and CRM
system managed drip campaigns designed to convert prospects
into customers.
What many emerging franchisors may not know is that it’s
all about attracting prospective franchisees, engaging in a
conversation and dialogue with them (not just trying to sell to
them), filtering the good prospects from the bad, and nurturing
a relationship that creates trust and value.
Direct Response Marketing: The Basics
The Direct Response Marketing Cycle starts with four major
steps: Attract, Filter, Nurture, and Convert.
1. Create attraction
systems for prospective
franchisees to raise
their hand and identify
themselves.
2. Capture prospective
franchisee information
and build your lists.
Then, automate your list
building and filter your
leads through a CRM
system.
3. Implement a drip
campaign to nurture your leads.
4. Convert qualified leads.
In the next coming months, within this newsletter we will be
discussing the role of firect response marketing and resources
and tools to implement in your business.
