Dashboards
• Great for headline view of the world • Potentially easy to deploy • Look and feel can be very precise
• Not great for “playing” with data • Specifications are hard to define • More difficult to build and therefore costly

Interactive Reporting
• Wonderful for “playing” with data • Potentially easy to deploy • Less build time = lower cost to implement
• Does require an understanding of the data • Requires some level of training • Not as pretty… Less “Wow” more “Do”

• Open platform / adding in-house data – Will your solution grow with your needs – Clients expect more the moment you give

• Is having your logo at the top enough?
• What about branding for your client?
• What will be “your” charging model?
• How will you differentiate yourself?

• Reporting is becoming/ has become a commodity
• Clients don’t want to pay for anything • Most reporting systems have usage costs
– Annual per user / per report / per extract
