Objective

My objective is for you to be able to make a pretty good banner.

Mine are related to my project but you can make them from any render.

Fan art is the easiest for most people to use.

Basic Skills for Photoshop

• A few basic things to know to start is Brightness and color balance.

• This is really easy all you have to do is pull up the picture you want to enhance and click on either the sun icon (Brightness levels) or the scale (Color levels).

• To adjust this just move the bar to the desired effect.

Photoshop History• In 1987 Thomas Knoll Invented an editing program that he

called “display”.

• The program used grayscale images to edit pictures.• His brother John persuaded him to further it.• He tried to rename it Imagepro in 1988 but the name was

already taken.

Photoshop

He managed to get a short contract with Barneyscan.

They distributed the newly named Photoshop with the purchase of a slide scanner.

It was showed to Apple shortly after the contract ended.

In 1990 Photoshop was released for Macintosh.

Banner

Go to Your New project and paste it.(CTRL +V) Click on the ERASER to get rid of all the extra

you don’t want. Resizing it will make it fit better in the banner. To do this click Ctrl +T Then you get the standard resizing tools. Resize it to your needs. Making a background is next. I usually have a picture that I like and I use

that.

The Back Ground

This is a easy thing to do. I usually do this after I get the render I

want on the banner. The back Ground needs to set the mood

of the picture. Copy + Paste Works well if your using a

picture for it. Adjust the brightness and color levels to

match what you want.
