100G Use CaseThe diagram to the right, shows the top level architecture of the CHRONOS

platform.

In this scenario, we have 2 sets of optical ports, of which 1 are active at any time,

depending on the confirmation of the unit.

Supported configurations are;

Ÿ 1 x 100G Ingress <> 1 x 100G Egress.

Ÿ 1 x 100G Ingress <> 10 x 10G Egress.

Ÿ 10 x 10G Ingress <> 1 x 100G Egress.

Ÿ 10 x 10G Ingress <> 10 x 10G Egress.

Note: Custom configurations are also available upon request.

Ingress signals can be any combination of OTN, SONET-SDH or Ethernet protocols.

Egress signals are typically Ethernet protocol, but can be modified to suit the

ingress requirements of the downstream system.

After termination, extraction and processing, the packet payload content is

switched to the relevant egress port for further processing downstream.
