Our School As we come to the end of another year, we look back on all of

the blessings that this year has shared. We had a wonderful

end of our last school year with a beautiful Confirmation cele-

bration and graduation of our 8th graders. Our students grew

and matured over the summer months and started a new

school year in September full of excitement and energy. We

have been working with our students getting them into the

routines of a new school year with new expectations. We be-

gan a new Catholic Identity theme: “Spreading JOY with Re-

spect to Catholic Social Teachings” and are once again work-

ing with a variety of organizations and charities to help our

students learn that they too can help those around them every

day. We have celebrated Thanksgiving and now a beautiful

Advent Season and Christmas holiday and are ready to start a

brand new calendar year. We wish all of our families, friends,

alumni and fellow parishioners a Blessed New Year and are

looking forward to all the blessings that a new year brings.

WELCOME VISITORS and PARISHIONERS to St

John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Clinton, MD.

Mission Statement for

St. John the Evangelist Church Our Mission, rooted in Christ, is to create a spirit of hospitality

and Evangelization. . We do this by celebrating the Liturgy with

great care and devotion, and faithfully witnessing God’s pres-

ence and love in our lives. In doing so we share our God-given

gifts and caring for those in need.

The parishioners of St John's remain rooted in Christ by:

Celebrating the Liturgy with great care and devotion,

Witnessing faithfully to God's presence and love in our daily

lives and effectively communicating that message,

Creating a spirit of evangelization, hospitality and encouraging

active participation by the entire congregation,

Sharing our God-given gifts and caring for those in need.

Thank you to all the parishioners who have contributed to the St.

John’s Food Pantry throughout this year. Your donations have

helped many families in need of food.

Thank you also to everyone who has participated in the many

different aspects of the Share Food Network. This program is

part of Catholic Charities and provides fresh and frozen meats

and fresh fruits and vegetables to many people. Deacon Koester

thanks you for helping to support his ministry.

Y, si no,

mirad ésta de José, María y Jesús. Nada falta ni

sobra.

Y Dios, inspirando y respal-

dando esos valores: "Hijo mío, sé constante en

honrar a tu padre, y no lo olvides mientras viva;
