    Gloucester City Council

    Since 2011 Civica has provided outsourcedrevenues, benets, welfare rights and counter-fraud services in partnership with GloucesterCity Council as part of a wider process totransform the councils approach to backofce and corporate services while deliveringsavings of over 1.5 million.

    Through the partnership Gloucester benetsfrom resilient services and improved

    performance with lower operating coststhan retaining in-house provision as well asan increased ability to innovate and pilot newways of working. Improvements during therst year included the highest performance inprocessing new claims for benets and changesin circumstances, while creation of a serviceand innovation centre in the city has provideda foundation for outsourced and OnDemandservices to other authorities.

    Eastbourne Borough Council

    Civica is a key partner for Eastbournesaward-wining transformation programme,working with the council to help re-engineerlocal services and save 3 million throughIT-enabled improvement including streamlinedprocesses and agile working.

    Following a successful rst phase whichinvolved deployment of electronic workowand documentmanagement across 12 serviceareas in a rapid rollout, Civica is working with

    Eastbourne to develop a pioneering approach,the Future Model, including re-design of servicesto achieve a customer centric way of workingusing new Civica technology.

    The approach incorporates multichannelcontact management including online andGIS-based transactions to support the councilschannel shift strategy, with integration of servicerequests into back ofce systems to createa consolidated and integrated IT platform.

    Tower Hamlets Council

    Tower Hamlets chose to outsource its documentmanagement to Civica helping to reduce overallbenet application processing times from 33 to6 days, supported by the efcient back-scanningof 9.2 million documents.

    Civica and Tower Hamlets designed a radicalnew approach based on Civicas Electronic PostRoom, a fully outsourced document tracking andprocessing system integrated with the existing

    Civica EDM & Workow system. The newsolution reduces the previous local labour-intensive workload, dramatically shortensprocessing times while reducing errors andofce space requirements.

    This also enables customer service staff todeal with enquiries more quickly as cases areconsistent, complete and delivered in a timelymanner to whoever needs them.

    The relationship with Civica hasraised the quality of our externalpartnerships to a new level.
