With a technician rating, you will earn the Leadership Award and be eligible for 1st Lt after 18 months as a 2d Lt.

By completing Level II, you will earn the Davis Award, and be eligible for Captain after 24 months as a 1st Lt.

Serve in a director or staff member capacity in a CAP approved course or conference.

With a master rating, you will earn a silver star for your Leadership Award Ribbon.

Page 39: Civil Air Patrol Professional Development Program

By completing Level IV, you are eligible for the Paul E. Garber Award.

Page 40: Civil Air Patrol Professional Development Program

With Level IV completed, you will be eligible for Lieutenant Colonel after 48 months as a Major.

Level V, Executive is for those officers performing duty as commanders or staff officers.

Serve in a director or staff member capacity in a CAP approved course.

Attend National Staff College or complete its approved PME equivalent.

Page 47: Civil Air Patrol Professional Development Program

By completing Level V, you are eligible for the Gill Robb Wilson Award.

Awards are not automatic, you must apply for them on a CAP Form 24.
