For 25 years, Oklahoma’s Main Street program has been pumping new life back into the heart of communities across the state. Combining historic preservation and downtown revitalization efforts with powerful economic stimulation, Main Street restores the core assets of our communities and enhances the quality of life for our citizens.

Being a Main Street community means implementing a comprehensive economic revitalization effort with four key factors:

1. Organization 2. Economic Restructuring 3. Design 4. Promotions

$4.3 million invested in façade improvement projects

$1.8 million invested in other building projects, ranging from

upgrades to HVAC systems to new roofs to interior improvements.

$2.2 million invested in property purchases, allowing for an

increase in property values at a rate well above the national average.

$10.9 million in public/private investment

By the numbers…

17,768 volunteer hours logged in projects ranging from planning to

events to downtown improvements $326,363 (in-kind value)

14 units Upper-floor Housing increased from two residential units

to 14 units.

$100+ k in grant funding received over the past decade.

Demand for Rental Space at a premium with only 4 vacancies available in Downtown Claremore.
