Two year requirement is not an option

● A fourth year is essential to those students who are attending college at any level. At California Community Colleges students will be placed in math level according to high school GPA and math courses taken. Students may take a math placement exam at their college which will place them in an appropriate level math class.

–If you fail a required graduation course you MUST make it up in summer school or the next year.

Summer School for Non-GUSD / Non-GEF courses

❖ MUST HAVE PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL from your CVHS Counselor: Anyone wishing to complete a non-GUSD / non-GEF course (including online or other public/private school).

❖ Check Accreditation, UC approval, and NCAA status of school/program.

❖ Summer School Registration will begin March 1st. At that time, forms will be available in the Rosemont and CVHS Counseling offices. Specific details will be posted on the CVHS counseling website.

What you need to know as an 8th grade parent

● Tryouts for many of our teams take place a day after 8th grade graduation● CANNOT tryout without a current physical
