● Remove the plug
● Turn off the water inlet tap.
● All Candy appliances areearthed. Ensure that themain electricity circuit isearthed. Contact a qualifiedelectrician if this is not thecase.
This appliancecomplies with Directives89/336/EEC, 73/23/EEC andfollowing changes.
● Do not touch theappliance with wet or damphands or feet.
● Do not use the appliancewhen bare-footed.
● Extreme care should betaken if extension leads areused in bathrooms or showerrooms. Avoid this wherepossible.
WARNING: DURING THE WASHING CYCLE, THE WATER CAN REACH A TEMPERATURE OF 90°C.

SETTING UPINSTALLATION
Move the machine near itspermanent position withoutthe packaging base.
Cut tube-holding straps.
Unscrew the central screw(A); unscrew the 4 lateralscrews (B) and remove thecross piece (C).
Lean the machine forwardand remove the plasticbags containing the twopolystyrene blocks at thesides, pulling downwards.
Press the plug (to be foundin the envelope with theinstructions) into the hole.
WARNING:DO NOT LEAVE THEPACKAGING IN THEREACH OF CHILDREN ASIT IS A POTENTIALSOURCE OF DANGER.

Use front feet to level themachine with the floor.
a) Turn the nut clockwise torelease the screw adjuster ofthe foot.
b) Rotate foot to raise orlower it until it stands firmlyon the ground.
c) Lock the foot in positionby turning the nut anti-clockwise until it comes upagainst the bottom of themachine.
Ensure that the knob is onthe “OFF” position and theload door is closed.
Insert the plug.
After installation, theappliance must bepositioned so that the plug isaccessible.

Fix the sheet of corrugatedmaterial on the bottom asshown in picture.
Connect the fill hose to the tap.
The appliance must beconnected to the watermains using new hose-sets.The old hose-sets should notbe reused.
IMPORTANT:DO NOT TURN THE TAP ON AT THIS TIME.
Position the washingmachine next to the wall.Hook the outlet tube to theedge of the bath tub,paying attention that thereare no bends orcontractions along the tube.
It is better to connect thedischarge hose to a fixedoutlet of a diameter greaterthan that of the outlet tubeand at a height of min. 50cm. If is necessary to use theplastic sleeve supplied.

The “Door Locked” indicatorlight is illuminated when thedoor is fully closed and themachine is ON.When START/PAUSE ispressed on the machinewith the door closed theindicator will flashmomentarily and thenilluminate.If the door is not closed theindicator will continue toflash.A special safety deviceprevents the door frombeing opened immediatelyafter the end of the cycle.Wait for 2 minutes after thewash cycle has finished andthe Door Locked light hasgone out before openingthe door. At the end of cycleturn the programmeselector to OFF .

By pressing this button it ispossible to transform everyprogramme into a coldwashing one, withoutmodifying othercharacteristics (water level,times, rythmes, etc...).Curtains, small carpets, manmade delicate fabrics, noncoulor fast garments can besafely washed thanks to thisnew device.
AQUAPLUS BUTTON
By pressing this button you canactivate a special new washcycle in the Colourfast andMixed Fabrics programs, thanksto the new Sensor Activa System.This option treats with care thefibres of garments and thedelicate skin of those who wearthem.The load is washed in a muchlarger quantity of water and this,together with the new combinedaction of the drum rotationcycles, where water is filled andemptied, will give you garmentswhich have been cleaned andrinsed to perfection. The amountof water in the wash is increasedso that the detergent dissolvesperfectly, ensuring an efficientcleaning action. The amount ofwater is also increased during therinse procedure so as to removeall traces of detergent from thefibres.This function has beenspecifically designed for peoplewith delicate and sensitive skin,for whom even a very smallamount of detergent can causeirritation or allergy.You are advised to also use thisfunction for children’s clothingand for delicate fabrics ingeneral, or when washinggarments made of towelling,where the fibres tend to absorb agreater quantity of detergent.To ensure the best performancefor your wash, this function isalways activated on theDelicates and Woollensprograms.

When a programme isselecting, wait for the “STOP”indicator light to flash beforepressing the START button.
Press to start the selectedcycle (according to theselected cycle oneindicator lights will go on) .
NOTE: WHEN THE STARTBUTTON HAS BEENPRESSED, THE APPLIANCECAN TAKE FEW SECONDSBEFORE STARTSWORKING.
CHANGING THE SETTINGSAFTER THE PROGRAMMESHAS STARTED (PAUSE)Once the programme hasstarted the settings can onlyaltered by pressing therelevant buttons.The programme may bepaused at any time duringthe wash cycle by holdingdown the "Start/Pause"button for about twoseconds. When the machineis in the paused mode, theindicator light "Time To End",spin speed and optionbuttons will flash.To restart the programme,press the "Start/Pause"button once again.
If you wish to add or removeitems during washing, wait 2minutes until the safetydevice unlocks the door.When you have carried outthe manoeuvre, close thedoor, press START button andthe appliance will continueworking where it left off.
CANCELLING THEPROGRAMMETo cancel the programmethe programme selectorshould be rotated to theOFF position.

SELECTION
For the various types offabrics and various degreesof dirt the washing machinehas 4 different programmebands according to: washcycle, temperature andlenght of cycle (see table ofwashing cycleprogrammes).
1 RESISTANTS FABRICSThe programmes have beendesigned for a maximumwash and the rinses, withspin intervals, ensure perfectrinsing.The final spin gives moreefficient removal of water.
2 MIXED AND SYNTHETICFABRICS The main wash and the rinsegives best results thanks tothe rotation rhythms of thedrum and to the waterlevels.A gentle spin will mean thatthe fabrics become lesscreased.
3 SPECIAL DELICATE FIBRES This is a new wash cyclewhich alternates washingand soaking and isparticularly recommendedfor very delicate fabricssuch as Pure MachineWashable Wool. The washcycle and rinses are carriedout with high water levels toensure best results.
SPECIAL “HAND WASH”This washing machine alsohas a gentle Hand Washprogramme cycle. Thisprogramme allows acomplete washing cycle forgarments specified as“Hand Wash only” on thefabric care label. Theprogramme has atemperature of 30°C andconcludes with 3 rinses anda slow spin.

- Voda, ki med izpiranjem izteka iz stroja, lahko izgleda zaradi prisotnosti zeolitov motna, vendar pa to nevpliva na kakovost izpiranja.

âI·âENJE FILTRAPralni stroj ima vgrajen filter, kizadrÏi vse veãje delce (npr.kovance, gumbe ipd.), ki bilahko prepreãili izãrpavanjevode. Priporoãamo, da filterobãasno oãistite in sicertakole:
● S kovancem ali roãajemÏliãke neÏno odstraniteokrasno podnoÏje tako, daga obrnete navzdol – glejsliko.
● PodnoÏje uporabite zazbiranje vode, ki bo stekla izfiltra.
● Odvijte vijak, s katerim jepritrjen filter.
● Primite filter za roãaj in gaobrnite v smeri nasprotni odgibanja urinih kazalcev tako,da bo stal roãaj navpiãno.
● Izvlecite filter in ga oãistite.
● Po konãanem ãi‰ãenjufilter ponovno vstavite v stroj.Pri namestitvi bodite pozornina mali zatiã, ki je na notranjistrani oboda odprtine filtra.Filter in okrasno podnoÏjenamestite nazaj v obratnemvrstnem redu, kot ste ga sneli.Po konãanem ãi‰ãenju filterponovno vstavite v stroj –privijte ga na desno.Upo‰tevajte zgoraj podananavodila v obratnemvrstnem redu.

Pripravitesi ustrezno posodo in natoupognite cev navzdol terpoãakajte, da iz nje izteãevsa voda.Cev nato namestite nazaj vobjemko.Postopek ponovite tudi scevjo za dotok vode.

FILTER CLEANINGThe washing-machine isequipped with a special filterto retain large foreign matterwhich could clog up thedrain, such as coins, buttons,etc. These can, therefore,easily be recovered. Theprocedures for cleaning thefilter are as follows:
● Ease off the base as shownin fig.
● Use the base as a tray tocollect leftover water in filter.
● Loosen the screw holdingthe filter.
● Turn the filter anticlockwisetill it stops in vertical position.
● Remove and clean.
● After cleaning, replace byturning the notch on the endof the filter clockwise. Thenfollow all proceduresdescribed above in reverseorder.
REMOVALS OR LONG PERIODSWHEN THE MACHINE IS LEFTSTANDING
For eventual removals orwhen the machine is leftstanding for long periods inunheated rooms, the drainhose should be emptied ofall remaining water.
The appliance must beswitched off and unplugged.A bowl is needed. Detachthe drainage hose from theclamp and lower it over thebowl until all the water isremoved.
Repeat the same operationwith the water inlet hose.

NOTE:THE MACHINE IS FITTED WITH A SPECIAL ELECTRONIC DEVICE, WHICH PREVENTS THE SPIN CYCLESHOULD THE LOAD BE UNBALANCED.THIS REDUCES THE NOISE AND VIBRATION IN THE MACHINE AND SO PROLONGS THE LIFE OF YOURMACHINE.
If the fault should persist, contact a Candy Technical Assistance Centre. For prompt servicing, give the model ofthe washing machine, to be found on the label placed on the cabinet inside of the porthole or on theguarantee certificate.Important1 The use of environment friendly detersives without phosphates may produce the following effects:
- The discharge rinse water may result cloudier due to the presence of zeolites in suspension. This does notcompromise the efficiency of the rinses.
- The presence of white powder (zeolites) on the washing at the end of the washing cycle. This does notremain incorporated in the fabric and does not alter the colour.
- The presence of foam in the last rinse water which is not necessarily a sign of inadequate rinsing.- The non-ionic surface-active agents present in the composition of washing machine detersives are often
difficult to remove from the washing itself and, even in small quantities, may produce visible signs of theformation of foam.
- Carrying out further rinses, in cases such as this, is not useful.2 If your washing machine fails to function, carry out the above-mentioned checks before calling the Candy
Technical Assistance Service.
