Clothesline Crochet Coaster

Abbreviations: • sc = single crochet • st = stitch • sl st = slip stitch • rnd(s) = round(s) Things You Will Need: • Cotton clothesline • Glue gun • Worsted weight yarn • G crochet hook • Scissors Finished Size: 4" diameter Note: Coaster is worked in continuous rnds. Do not join rnds. What To Do: Form a tight ring in the end of the clothesline with a center hole big enough to insert your crochet hook through. Hot glue the overlap of the coil to secure the ring. Rnd 1: Hold two strands of yarn together and attach to the ring. 12 sc in the ring.

Rnd 2: To add the clothesline cord throughout, insert the hook through the first st and under the cord. Grab the yarn with the hook and pull a loop back through the st. Grab the yarn over the cord and finish the sc on top. Repeat in the same st. 2 sc in each st around. (24 sc) Rnd 3: *Sc in the first st, 2 sc in the next.* Repeat from * to * around. (36 sc) Rnd 4: *Sc in the first two sts, 2 sc in the next.* Repeat from * to * around. (48 sc) Cut the clothesline next to the last st. Sc in the next st, sl st in the next. Fasten off and weave in the end.
