CFC Overview● Club Finance Council (CFC) is an

ASUCD-funded program that provides grants to help pay for educational programs, guest speakers, conferences, performances, cultural shows, publications and other events that enrich campus life. Registered student organizations in good standing with the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) are eligible to apply for funding.

● The CFC Board consists of 13 undergraduate students from a diverse array of on-campus affiliations who help support student organizations by allocating funding to their events, programs, and publications. The CFC Board is selected during Winter quarter each year to serve during the following year through a collaborative interview process coordinated between the Center for Student Involvement and ASUCD.

CFC Overview ContinuedCFC was initially created to depoliticize the funding process for student clubs and has continued to remain autonomous from political influence.

Recently, there have been strategic efforts to increase transparency between CFC and ASUCD.

As the largest RSO funding program, CFC has a significant presence on campus and has positively impacted the quality of student life at Davis through its grants program.

About CFC BoardThe Board allocation and funding process consists of two main events:

1. Grant intake: On the day of grant intake, student org representatives come to CSI to submit their grant applications. CFC board members meet with the representatives to make sure the grant is complete and in line with CFC regulations.

2. Allocation Night: The board members convene to go through the grant applications and make funding decisions. Based on a majority system, board members vote in favor of or against funding a club for a certain amount.

After allocation night, the clubs are notified of their grant status and those which are awarded sign a finance agreement to officially accept their funds.

Board members also participate in a variety of outreach initiatives.
