How can I motivate an exceptionally talented

writer?

Page 4: Cluster Share Keynote

Thanks for all the feedback last night on *. Just to let you know that she was listening in on the first part of our discussions! and is now feeling upset that she is being identified as being an exceptional writer and that she will not be "just like all the other normal kids". There were tears last night and I think that her main anxiety is that she thinks she will be pushed into doing "adult" web stuff. I think the concept of wikis, blogs and keeping a diary sounds intimidating to her. Of course we gave her lots of reassurance, but just as a heads up for you nothing is easy when introducing new challenges to her. As you well know. I said to * that I would contact you to let you know how she was feeling.

Communication with Parents I have asked them for your email address in order to write to you for permission for the girls to take part in a trial which I envisage they will work on at school and at home. The wiki space I have is closed to general viewing and only by giving them these details will they be able to access my wiki.

I am excited by the opportunities offered by a website called Writers'Window. To start with I want them to explore the site, offer me some feedback and ultimately get involved in a continuous fairytale story by adding their own writing to it. In order to participate in the story they will need to register and you may have to help them to do this.
