CMMS Configuration, Condition & Utilization AssessmentA Computerized Maintenance Management

System (CMMS) is one of the critical foundational elements necessary for the implementation of Best Practices for Maintenance and Operations. The CMMS is designed to automate standardized business processes, collect historical information and leverage the computer’s ability to quickly sort and analyze large amount of data. This proactive tool when properly implemented and utilized provides accurate and timely data, enabling informed maintenance and operational management decisions.

The effectiveness of a CMMS, in support of Best Practices, is directly proportional to the types, consistency and integrity of the data input to the system. The system configuration, implementation and subsequent utilization will establish the quality and effectiveness of this data in supporting Best Practices.

The CMMS Configuration, Condition & Utilization Assessment utilized by People and Processes Inc. is designed to analyze the existing configuration, condition and utilization of your CMMS. Using the findings from the assessment we can identify those gaps between the existing state and the desired state and develop a strategy and tactical plan to address those gaps. The typical assessment addresses functionality in all of the pertinent modules including:

• System Administration• Security• Work Order Management• Equipment• Employee / Labor• Preventive Maintenance (PM)• Inventory / MRO• Purchasing• Reports / Metrics

Your productivity experts.

The analysis of each module looks at the presence, accuracy and integration of data in support of Best Practices. Typical elements evaluated during the assessment include:

• The general quality, structure, consistency and utilization of data

• The existence and completeness of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work flows, processes and procedures

• The availability of accurate costing information

• The necessary security and configuration management of the database

• Effective training, documentation and support

• Integration with other data management systems

• Proper configuration and utilization of data fields in support of the three functions of maintenance: the supervision of maintenance activities, the planning scheduling and coordination of maintenance

activities and reliability engineering in support of failure elimination

• Utilization of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) or Maintenance Metric functions

People and Processes, Inc. has developed an evaluation methodology based on years of collective knowledge and experience. Your experts have participated in 250+ CMMS implementation and optimization projects utilizing 40+ different software packages. People and Processes, Inc will assign a Subject Matter Expert with extensive experience in the implementation and utilization of CMMS to perform the assessment. The assessment is based on personnel interviews, direct observations, documentation and data.

This data is documented, analyzed, and complied into a concise and logical report, which will list the findings and recommendations. The report will become the basis for the development of a Tactical Plan for Improvement. This plan is developed in MS Project details the activities, duration, presidencies, resources, milestones and time line for the CMMS optimization initiative for the site.

The development and utilization of an effective CMMS enables the realization of Best Maintenance Practices and allows the organization to leverage 100% equipment reliability throughout the business plan. Capitalizing on this advantage will allow your organization to grow and prosper in today's world market.On-SITe, PrIvATe And
