Corvairsation is a monthly publication of the Tucson Corvair Association which is dedicated to the preservation of the Corvair model of the Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors The Tucson Corvair Association is a chartered member of the Corvair Society of America (CORSA857)

MONTHLY MEETINGS are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month except December One technicalsocial event is planned for each month with the exception of July and August

MEMBERSHIP DUES Initial dues are $ 1500 (includes name tag) renewable for $ 1200 per year and payable to the TUCSON CORVAIR ASSOCIATION through the Membership Chairperson

Well here we are into the new year sure is warm in the 80s and it is only Jan as I sit here I wonder what June will bring could be toastie Oh well lets enjoy the weather thats why we are here

The nominating comm Joe Abate Herb Burkman and Vern Griffith will present the slate of new officers for the coming year at the Jan meeting At that time I will open the floor for nominations If you want to nominate some one you must have there permission to do so President Vice and Bd member at large are open with membership Chair being a president appointee

The tune up clinic will be here at our house 802 S Catalina Sat Jan 20 9 till noon Ill have the diesel powered washer if anyone wants to clean there eng Someone bring a cup cake and we will slng happy birthday to Van Pershing

I hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas My wife did she told me away back if you can keep buying Corvairs you can buy me a grandfather clock well every time that thing chimes it says $ 100 $ 200 $300 $ 400 well you get the idea But oh the smile on her face Christmas ~hat a memory to remember

The monthly meeting of the Tucson Corvair Assoc was called to order at 730 PM by our President Ron Bloom

The minutes of the October meeting were approved A~printed in the Corvairsation

Vistors this month were Bob Schadln Josh Schadle and Rosie Burton Both SChadles rejoined the club after a couple years absence

After paying off the balance on the copier our Treasure Allen Elvick reported that our balance is now $ 31217

Don Robinson reported that we have new stock of caps T shyshirt and sweatshirt In January we will be taking orders for jackets

Our Librarian Beverly Baker was absent again this month

Our Editor Lynn Bloom stated that ifoanyone wishes to send articles or ads for the Corvairsatio~ her fax I is 745-5454 She also reminded the members that th~ copier is available for their use at a cost of 03 to 05 a copy

The Christmas Party has been changed from the location to the Blue Sahuaro Restaurantiat Ft LowellandDodge We will also be celebrating our twentieth yearof TCA~ Part~ starts at 700 PM on the 16 th of December

The license plate raffle was won by Barry Cunningham The regular raffle winners were Betty Chastain Bob Eggers Larry Dandridge and Rossie Burton

Prizes for the Jan meeting will be furnished by John Bates Don Henn Cecil Alex Bob Schadler Lynn Bloom Larry Dandridge and Josh Schadler

Gorden Cauble reported there was a 65 Corsa110 Convertible for sale at a price of $ 400000 and he seemed to feel it was worth it

Well here it is time to start a new year and get ready for all our fun and exciting activities and to meet our new officers (Who ever they might be) and we will know soon

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our President and friends for an out standing job they have done this year Also for all the help from everyone who chipped in to help in all of the activities etc

Congratulation to Mr Vern Griffith for receiving the Byron Lynch award Vern was the our President last year and he did a out standing job thanks Vern and again Congratulations

Well I was very surprised when also I received an award for doing many jobs through out the past years for a job well done and for just being mys elf So now I would like to say thanksmiddot to you all for helping me in my times of need and also for just being my friend that means so much to me Often we dont take time to say thanks we get caught up in hustle and bustle of many things and also we have our own family and friends to think of so we sometimes forget to just say thank for just being there Also we get ourselves involved in so many things that we take things for granted So again Thanks To You All

CORVAIR CLUB 20TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY IS BEST EVER

Raindrops splashing in the streets didnt dampen the spirits of Corvair Club enthusiasts the evening of December l6th--our Christmas Party celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Club at the Blue Saguaro Restaurant Laughter and high spirits were the keynote of the evening as members and guests milled around to greet each other

Attending were 40 members and three guests and as they gathered around the decorated tables for dinner our President RON BLOOM called on ESTHER ALEX to lead us in singing Christmas Carols An excellent dinner was served to include a beautifully decorated Corvair 20th Anniversary Cake for dessert Durin~ ithe evening snapshots were taken of all those who attended and gifts were exchanged

Each year in early December the Club recognizes the performance and leadership of its outstanding members Chosen as the TCAs Man of the Year VERNON GRIFFITH received the BRYAN LYNCH AWARD--a handsome bronze plaque mounted on polished walnut Also honored was LYNN BLOOM who received the CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATI ON and a plaque for her work as editor of the clubs newsletterCORVAIRSATION plus the many other jobs she takes On so willingly for the Club

Recognition was given the two Charter Members who were present--DON CHASTAIN and GORDON CAUBLE

Each guest at the party received a decorated Corvair Mug as a souvenir of the occasion

The nominating comm Joe Abate Herb Burkman and Vern Griffith will present the slate of new officers for the coming year at the Jan meeting At that time I will open the floor for nominations If you want to nominate some one you must have there permission to do so President Vice and Bd member at large are open with membership Chair being a president appointee

The tune up clinic will be here at our house 802 S Catalina Sat Jan 20 9 till noon Ill have the diesel powered washer if anyone wants to clean there eng Someone bring a cup cake and we will slng happy birthday to Van Pershing

The monthly meeting of the Tucson Corvair Assoc was called to order at 730 PM by our President Ron Bloom

The minutes of the October meeting were approved A~printed in the Corvairsation

Vistors this month were Bob Schadln Josh Schadle and Rosie Burton Both SChadles rejoined the club after a couple years absence

After paying off the balance on the copier our Treasure Allen Elvick reported that our balance is now $ 31217

Don Robinson reported that we have new stock of caps T shyshirt and sweatshirt In January we will be taking orders for jackets

Our Librarian Beverly Baker was absent again this month

Our Editor Lynn Bloom stated that ifoanyone wishes to send articles or ads for the Corvairsatio~ her fax I is 745-5454 She also reminded the members that th~ copier is available for their use at a cost of 03 to 05 a copy

The Christmas Party has been changed from the location to the Blue Sahuaro Restaurantiat Ft LowellandDodge We will also be celebrating our twentieth yearof TCA~ Part~ starts at 700 PM on the 16 th of December

The license plate raffle was won by Barry Cunningham The regular raffle winners were Betty Chastain Bob Eggers Larry Dandridge and Rossie Burton

Prizes for the Jan meeting will be furnished by John Bates Don Henn Cecil Alex Bob Schadler Lynn Bloom Larry Dandridge and Josh Schadler

Gorden Cauble reported there was a 65 Corsa110 Convertible for sale at a price of $ 400000 and he seemed to feel it was worth it

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our President and friends for an out standing job they have done this year Also for all the help from everyone who chipped in to help in all of the activities etc

Congratulation to Mr Vern Griffith for receiving the Byron Lynch award Vern was the our President last year and he did a out standing job thanks Vern and again Congratulations

Well I was very surprised when also I received an award for doing many jobs through out the past years for a job well done and for just being mys elf So now I would like to say thanksmiddot to you all for helping me in my times of need and also for just being my friend that means so much to me Often we dont take time to say thanks we get caught up in hustle and bustle of many things and also we have our own family and friends to think of so we sometimes forget to just say thank for just being there Also we get ourselves involved in so many things that we take things for granted So again Thanks To You All

CORVAIR CLUB 20TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY IS BEST EVER

Raindrops splashing in the streets didnt dampen the spirits of Corvair Club enthusiasts the evening of December l6th--our Christmas Party celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Club at the Blue Saguaro Restaurant Laughter and high spirits were the keynote of the evening as members and guests milled around to greet each other

Attending were 40 members and three guests and as they gathered around the decorated tables for dinner our President RON BLOOM called on ESTHER ALEX to lead us in singing Christmas Carols An excellent dinner was served to include a beautifully decorated Corvair 20th Anniversary Cake for dessert Durin~ ithe evening snapshots were taken of all those who attended and gifts were exchanged

Each year in early December the Club recognizes the performance and leadership of its outstanding members Chosen as the TCAs Man of the Year VERNON GRIFFITH received the BRYAN LYNCH AWARD--a handsome bronze plaque mounted on polished walnut Also honored was LYNN BLOOM who received the CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATI ON and a plaque for her work as editor of the clubs newsletterCORVAIRSATION plus the many other jobs she takes On so willingly for the Club

Recognition was given the two Charter Members who were present--DON CHASTAIN and GORDON CAUBLE

Each guest at the party received a decorated Corvair Mug as a souvenir of the occasion

CORVAIR CLUB 20TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY IS BEST EVER

Raindrops splashing in the streets didnt dampen the spirits of Corvair Club enthusiasts the evening of December l6th--our Christmas Party celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Club at the Blue Saguaro Restaurant Laughter and high spirits were the keynote of the evening as members and guests milled around to greet each other

Attending were 40 members and three guests and as they gathered around the decorated tables for dinner our President RON BLOOM called on ESTHER ALEX to lead us in singing Christmas Carols An excellent dinner was served to include a beautifully decorated Corvair 20th Anniversary Cake for dessert Durin~ ithe evening snapshots were taken of all those who attended and gifts were exchanged

Each year in early December the Club recognizes the performance and leadership of its outstanding members Chosen as the TCAs Man of the Year VERNON GRIFFITH received the BRYAN LYNCH AWARD--a handsome bronze plaque mounted on polished walnut Also honored was LYNN BLOOM who received the CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATI ON and a plaque for her work as editor of the clubs newsletterCORVAIRSATION plus the many other jobs she takes On so willingly for the Club

Recognition was given the two Charter Members who were present--DON CHASTAIN and GORDON CAUBLE

Each guest at the party received a decorated Corvair Mug as a souvenir of the occasion

The monthly meeting of the Tucson Corvair Assoc was called to order at 730 PM by our President Ron Bloom

The minutes of the October meeting were approved A~printed in the Corvairsation

Vistors this month were Bob Schadln Josh Schadle and Rosie Burton Both SChadles rejoined the club after a couple years absence

After paying off the balance on the copier our Treasure Allen Elvick reported that our balance is now $ 31217

Don Robinson reported that we have new stock of caps T shyshirt and sweatshirt In January we will be taking orders for jackets

Our Librarian Beverly Baker was absent again this month

Our Editor Lynn Bloom stated that ifoanyone wishes to send articles or ads for the Corvairsatio~ her fax I is 745-5454 She also reminded the members that th~ copier is available for their use at a cost of 03 to 05 a copy

Congratulation to Mr Vern Griffith for receiving the Byron Lynch award Vern was the our President last year and he did a out standing job thanks Vern and again Congratulations

Well I was very surprised when also I received an award for doing many jobs through out the past years for a job well done and for just being mys elf So now I would like to say thanksmiddot to you all for helping me in my times of need and also for just being my friend that means so much to me Often we dont take time to say thanks we get caught up in hustle and bustle of many things and also we have our own family and friends to think of so we sometimes forget to just say thank for just being there Also we get ourselves involved in so many things that we take things for granted So again Thanks To You All

CORVAIR CLUB 20TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY IS BEST EVER

Raindrops splashing in the streets didnt dampen the spirits of Corvair Club enthusiasts the evening of December l6th--our Christmas Party celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Club at the Blue Saguaro Restaurant Laughter and high spirits were the keynote of the evening as members and guests milled around to greet each other

Attending were 40 members and three guests and as they gathered around the decorated tables for dinner our President RON BLOOM called on ESTHER ALEX to lead us in singing Christmas Carols An excellent dinner was served to include a beautifully decorated Corvair 20th Anniversary Cake for dessert Durin~ ithe evening snapshots were taken of all those who attended and gifts were exchanged

Each year in early December the Club recognizes the performance and leadership of its outstanding members Chosen as the TCAs Man of the Year VERNON GRIFFITH received the BRYAN LYNCH AWARD--a handsome bronze plaque mounted on polished walnut Also honored was LYNN BLOOM who received the CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATI ON and a plaque for her work as editor of the clubs newsletterCORVAIRSATION plus the many other jobs she takes On so willingly for the Club

Recognition was given the two Charter Members who were present--DON CHASTAIN and GORDON CAUBLE

Each guest at the party received a decorated Corvair Mug as a souvenir of the occasion

CORVAIR CLUB 20TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY IS BEST EVER

Raindrops splashing in the streets didnt dampen the spirits of Corvair Club enthusiasts the evening of December l6th--our Christmas Party celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Club at the Blue Saguaro Restaurant Laughter and high spirits were the keynote of the evening as members and guests milled around to greet each other

Attending were 40 members and three guests and as they gathered around the decorated tables for dinner our President RON BLOOM called on ESTHER ALEX to lead us in singing Christmas Carols An excellent dinner was served to include a beautifully decorated Corvair 20th Anniversary Cake for dessert Durin~ ithe evening snapshots were taken of all those who attended and gifts were exchanged

Each year in early December the Club recognizes the performance and leadership of its outstanding members Chosen as the TCAs Man of the Year VERNON GRIFFITH received the BRYAN LYNCH AWARD--a handsome bronze plaque mounted on polished walnut Also honored was LYNN BLOOM who received the CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATI ON and a plaque for her work as editor of the clubs newsletterCORVAIRSATION plus the many other jobs she takes On so willingly for the Club

Recognition was given the two Charter Members who were present--DON CHASTAIN and GORDON CAUBLE

Each guest at the party received a decorated Corvair Mug as a souvenir of the occasion
