Dear Parishioners,Let me take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to every single person who supported the First Annual Rock-A- Thon here at St. Joseph’s. The response was fantastic! I want to thank everyone who prayed for its success, for without the help of God through our prayerful intercession nothing holy could take place. I want to thank everyone who made a donation or who supported one of our rockers. The parishioners who came forward with the donation of the different kind of rocking chairs made for quite a homey scene on the sidewalk in front of our parish church. It looked liked a “Parish Family” event! Thanks. Finally, I want to send out a word of thanks to the young adults of our parish who rocked for hours in front of our cathedral starting before the first parishioner arrived for the early mass and were still

Thank you all

rocking when the last mass attendee had left. I also want to thank everyone who took pictures and shared such positive energy with their comments about the event. When we planned for this event I stated that I hoped to raise at least $10,000 in this event. The final total profit will be over $17,000. God has truly blessed our combined efforts. Deo Gratia.Father Charlie Keeney

LET’S US PRAY FOR OUR NEW CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES

Pray together…

Spirit of God, grant them:The gift of wisdom to see

the world through your eyes,The gift of counsel to make

difficult decisions,The gifts of knowledge and

understanding to use their minds to know you and to love you, the gift of fortitude to have

the courage to live in the faith despite the difficulties and

disappointments, the gift of piety to be able to express their

special love and commitment to you, and the right kind of awesome

fear that makes them pause to wonder and revere God’s Love.

Amen.
