Masses and religious services have been suspended until further notice, by order of Cardinal Sean O’Malley, to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

Churches will be open for those who wish to pray, according to the following schedule: Sundays, 9am - 12noon at both churches with Exposition/Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Please note St. Joseph will be closed from 9:45am - 11am while we live stream the 10am Sunday Mass

Monday - Saturday, 3pm - 6pm at St. Francis of Assisi Church only

Confessions: Saturdays, 3pm - 4pm at both churches

Please practice good hygiene - wash hands frequently, do not shake hands, sneeze/cough into tissue or your elbow, practice "social distancing" (keep 6 feet apart). For your safety, doorknobs and surfaces are sanitized regularly.

Parish Office - Our new par ish office hours are 9am-12noon Monday - Friday. The office will not be open to in-person visitors but we encourage par ishioners to contact us by phone or email and visit our website and Facebook pages - @StFrancisMedford and @SaintJosephMedford - for updates.

Food Assistance Available

In recognition of the needs that have arisen in our community as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, two of our ministries are responding to the increased demands by making additional resources available: Our Saint Vincent de Paul Society and the Friends of Francis Food Pantry are providing assistance to all those in need of food. Our Saint Vincent de Paul Society has supermarket gift cards available at the Parish Office. To request this assistance, please call our Parish Office at 781-396-0423 to coordinate the pick up of a gift card.

Our Friends of Francis Food Pantry, located at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Center at 2 St. Clare Road, is open every Thursday from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. If you are visiting the pantry for the first time, please bring a photo ID and proof of address (household bill). You do not to need to be a Medford resident to visit our pantry.

Friends of Francis would like to thank Doreen Breen and the students and families who donated to the Easter Baskets. A total of 41 baskets and 20 bags of candy were given to both our clients and our clients at the Senior Housing. All were thrilled and offered positive and heartfelt thanks to those who donated to these baskets and those who put them together, especially for the toilet tissue in them. We would also like to thank WEGMAN’S for its weekly donations of bread, goodies and prepared meals. A special thanks for the donation in memory of Helen Gordon, The Rotary Club of Medford, and Century 21 Realty, Michael Hayes, owner. We are operating thru this Pandemic for those in need. Thanks to all for your contributions.
