Water is the secret to better roses

Water gives long stems, good growth and top quality blooms. Lack of water results in short stems and

smaller flowers. The more you can do to retain moist soil around the roots of your roses the better.

SOUVENIR de la MALMAISON The large, very double blooms are 12cm in diameter and have a quartered from. Mainly borne most singly and in small clusters in a delicate, soft shade of pink. Strong tea fragrance. Repeat flowering on a bushy, almost thornless plant that will reach up to 1.8m all and wide. Moderately vigorous bush at its’ best in dry climates. In hot climates it can grow up to 2m.

Cut the flowers in the bud stage as the outer petals start to uncurl. Place the stems immediately into water - the sap does not stop flowing directly after the cut and if left too long before going into water, it will start to form an air bubble in the stem base. No water will pass this bubble and will cause the flower to droop. The bubble can be cut from the base of the stem by taking off the bottom 2cm. This is why you are told to recut stems before placing into the vase. When picking the flower from the bush, please remember to leave the stem attached to the plant with at least two sets of five leaflets so your plant will grow more healthy stems.

We guarantee that our bare-rooted stock will break dormancy and leaf up. Please ensure you follow planting instructions, select a suitable site & follow a regular watering regime.

Be aware that some plants may not break dormancy for several months (eg; Ashes, Elms, etc.). Should your tree/rose be slow to bud up please contact us to register your claim.

DO NOT return the plant until advised to do so as this may damage the plant & could void your warranty. Staff will advise as to which course of action to take. All claims must be registered by November 30th - No claims will be considered after this date.
