MOON COLLECTION
Every piece in this collection was inspired by the infinite qualities of the ever-changing Moon. These can be seen in the powerful reflections created by a full moon or the vaporous mists surrounding a watery moon whi-ch seems to dissolve into a dark and sombre sky - each piece represents the different moods and the many aspects of the female psyche, representing her as an impetuous force. Delicate sentiment or passionate emotion are all intrinsic characteristics. The shape may vary, and the nuances, the distance and the magneti-sm change as the days pass by: the only certainty that remains is the power and influence of the feelings that this quintessential essence of femininity holds over us. On certain starry nights she is soft, gentle, yielding, delicate, sweet, spiritual, dreamy, the protector of the family and woman-kind, intensely maternal, related to the mutable and the changeable, while at other times she is commanding, volatile, impulsive, predominant, more splendid than any other star in the sky, self-aware, conscious of her own strength and power, determined, practical. In either case, she is visibly present and each night, as the light begins to fade, her femininity quietly replaces the masculinity of the Sun. Two opposing si-des of the same emotional universe where, to maintain equilibrium, the male and female sides need to become one, creating energy and spirituality - an explosion of brightness. This is the light that is the inspiration behind the garments which are shaped by this thought process, evolving from a simple imagined desire, into a dream, to finally become a material reality which, in contact with the woman who wears them, become a multi-face-ted expression in which the light is always predominant.
