Six expert security seminars are being organised by the Collections Trust, with funding provided by Arts Council England, to promote awareness of good

practice in museum security. These FREE seminars are being presented in Arts Council England Major partner museums across England to help museum staff build their confidence and capacity so that collections remain secure from loss, theft and damage.

To support the seminars a wide range of material will also be made available, including a Museum Security Checklist and online resources, on the Collections Link website. Existing published museum security guidance will be audited, collated and refreshed alongside the seminars.

The campaign is aimed at all those responsible for, or involved in, providing security at museums, whether they are medium and small museums or major regional institutions. All face similar challenges, and the seminars and support materials will be equally relevant and important, providing both immediate and longer-term support.
