COLLEZIONI BAMBINI - WWW.LOGOS.INFO
Red, yellow, blue. Triangles, circles, squares. The A/W 2015 collection by the Spanish brand finds inspiration in geometric shapes, in pure lines, in basic shapes always with a constant connection between colour and shape. A connection with which the two founders of the label already experimented while attending the School of Art and Architecture when they created a collection steeped in cultured references to Bauhaus artists, including Kandinsky, Klee, Batz and many others, obviously always in equilibrium between architecture and art. Fashion must follow functionality: Motoreta aims to pay homage to functionality in the best possible way through beauty. It does it with collections that catch the eye and the imagination of children. The brand creates a lifestyle for kids with a very urban and sophisticated approach and meaning. These are the characteristics of the dainty and unique brand founded in early 2013 by Cristina López-Lago and Maria Llerena, both architects, and based in southern Spain. Consistently with the “Think globally, produce locally” concept, all Motoreta garments are made in Spain following the principles of sustainability and using raw materials of the best quality with a perfect combination of local craftsmanship and cosmopolitan design. The new season witnessed the debut of the accessories range comprising of hosiery, weekend luggage, school bags completely in line with the overall mood of the collection. The leather products were made in Ubrique, a unique place with a strong leather manufacturing tradition for over fifty years.
Rosso, giallo, blu. Triangolare, circolare, quadrato.

Down jackets and padded jackets are a seasonal must have item for the cold
season since the Eighties. Therefo-re it is not surprising that
the enveloping warmth of quilted padded ja-ckets has also invaded
childrenswear. New for next season is the unex-pected use of padding for scarves, dresses, backpacks as softness takes over the kids wear universe in an avant-garde and fun way. Even quilting
is transformed into a decorative pattern that creates unexpected and fun-filled motifs. Sporty, stylish, warm, lightweight, a need against the cold we-ather or an example of the latest trend: padded clothes and accessories are indeed a wardrobe must for fashion
victims in miniature.

1. Emmy Moa > The Emmy Moa jewels, the brand created by Marion in 2009, come to life in a laboratory located in charming and wild Brittany. The designer creates jewellery and accessories that are particularly refined, delicate, unique, and free from harmful materials such as nickel and made instead of brass, porcelain, wood, and pearls. This project was a col-laboration between the kids clothing brand Minabulle and all jewels are available both in France and abroad.
2. Titlee > Magic forests and ex-traordinary gardens popula-te the world of the jewellery brand launched in 2009 by Séverine Balanqueux whose designs are al-ways inspired by fanta-stic, sweet, and delicate imagery. Titlee, which in Indian means ‘butterfly’, developed its creative DNA and undisputed energy in New York City, the legendary Big Apple that influences practi-cally all of the brand’s collections. Not surpri-singly therefore every single price is named after a street or a neighborhood in New York. All the jewels, however, are handmade in France.
3. Sophia203 > The pieces created by the Japanese brand are indeed curious, lovely, and fun. The stars of this amazing circus are fierce and fabulous ani-mals, both puppies and adults, a true classic evergreen of childhood. Avai-
lable, for example, a butterfly mask, an elephant hair rib-bon, Circus Star wallets, che-erful belts, a flamingo bro-och, the polka dot elephant bag and many other pieces for those who have never ti-red of playing and having fun.
4. Monica Trevisi > The ‘Pietre Parlanti’, a col-lection of light and intriguing bracelets by the Venetian desi-gner, are more than jewellery but an au-thentic expression of feelings and emo-
tions. A interweaving of of silver or burnished steel is combined with a selection of semi-precious stones in bright colours such as blue lapis lazuli, rose quartz, green aventurine. Each stone has a specific meaning and each colour symbolises a precise state
of mind. For example lapis lazuli promotes wisdom and honesty whereas yellow favours being extrovert and the ability to concentrate.

1. ABC123me > Black, grey, pink, and a series of prints have a key role in the Autumn/Winter 2015 collection by Abc123me with simple, very comforta-ble, and easily exchangeable shapes and volumes. Sweatshirts are worn under vintage-inspired knits and sweatpants are matched with black and grey jackets. Comfortable and sporty clothes with a retro flavour that don’t always remind us of sportswear. Made of the highest quality fabrics available, all garments are machine washable.
2. Exkite > The simple idea from which the Exkite collections stem from makes them even more unique. Recycled and up-cycled sails become au-thentic trendy garments that tell a thousand stories about waves, stormy seas, calm wa-ters, the smells of the sea, all packed into each garment that has to be considered uni-que. A collection with a soul and many stories to tell and that embraces the concept of pure sport. Unique items in which the de-tails contain pure energy.
3. Asics > The iconic brand, which for over 50 years has been dressing sport people of all ages, reinterprets this season running styles from the Eigh-
ties and Nineties. Even for the youngest, material inno-vation and new technologies that ensure correct postu-re for the feet are the basis for the shoe construction in order to achieve maximum harmonisation. The 100% fashion colours make sure that they will not go unnoti-ced: fluorescent and vibrant hues make the new Asics styles totally trendy.
4. Bikkembergs > A powerful collection by Bikkembergs for Au-tumn/Winter 2015. Fewer strong colours and streamlined lines that are vaguely reminiscent of superheroes uniforms. Oversize repetitions of the logo. Sober primary colours like the classic and ever-present navy blue alongside electric blue, powerful red, and primary yellow while green is used for T-shirts and
trousers. Streamlined silhouettes and very soft fabrics in perfect Bikkem-bergs sport style.
Interview with the founder of Indie Brands®, a platform for independent innovative brands that
have a story worth sharing
Tell us about yourself and about Indie Brands®.My name is Anneloes van Gaalen and I am the owner of the Amsterdam-based company Paperdoll Writing. I’m constantly on the hunt for stories that inspire me on a personal level and that I believe are worth sharing. They can be a book or a documentary, a website or a festival: therefore at times I work as a writer or an editor, at times as a curator or producer.Indie Brands® is an international platform for independent brands that I founded and that I own. It all started with a book I wrote on the subject a few years ago. It has grown organically and now we also run the Indie Food and Indie Kids websites and organise lectures, events, markets, festivals, pop-up shops.Tell us about the genesis of the project. It all started with a book I wrote called ‘Indie Brands: 30 Independent Brands That Inspire and Tell a Story’. My publisher BIS Publishers and I noticed a growing trend amongst creative people to set up their own brands. So I investigated this phenomenon a bit further. What does Indie Brands® provide to independent brands? It gives them a platform, exposure and in some cases a physical place to sell their products. We also organise a series of business studies and lectures where we ask other independent brands and experts in different fields including branding, production, logistics to share their insight so that everyone can learn from each other and set up new partnerships. We see so many cool brands with innovative ideas that need more exposure and to sell their products in order to survive. We like to help them with all those aspects. How do you select the brands? What makes the brands stand out? While I was writing my book I interviewed a number of companies from one-man brands to medium-sized corporations selling widely different products: from organic popcorn to online file sharing tools. True indie brands share
three important characteristics that I believe are the main ingredients for any independent brand: they’re not backed up by big bucks and also have a fiercely independent nature, they have a story worth sharing often reinventing a familiar product, they understand the magic of marketing as in fact many of the brands are set up by former ad men and women. Independent brands are characterised by an independent spirit: they go against the grain. They do things differently, are often innovative, which in turn makes them inspirational role models for other entrepreneurs. Most independent brands strive for complete creative freedom. But, of course, there’s an inherent tension between striving for complete creative freedom and keeping your brand alive.Do you work on your own or with a team? I have a loyal group of freelancers who are all experts in their own field, from producing to sales, who join in and help, largely because they have the same passion for these brands as I do. It’s definitely a labour of love.

How do you decide if a brand should be part of Indie Brands®?First we need to see, feel or taste the product and we have to truly love it. We always make the selection first and then contact the brands ourselves. On top of Dutch brands and events, do you also work with brands abroad?Yes, we select brands from all over the world. The independent entrepreneur is a global phenomenon. What are your future plans? We would like to expand the range of our festivals, markets and pop-up shops to other countries as well. So we’re always on the lookout for interesting partners and nice brands. What is your motto?Buy less, buy better.Indie Brands® delves into the world of independent brands. The book and accompanying website showcases inspiring brands that are independently-funded and innovative and have
a story worth sharing. We believe in buying less and buying better. That’s why our shop features a small but carefully curated selection of products from independent and innovative brands from all over the world. The same goes for the pop-up shops we organise and the Indie Brands® Local Goods Weekend Market held in Amsterdam.

Ci piace molto poterli aiutare sotto tutti questi aspetti.Come vengono selezionati i marchi? Cosa li rende diversi dagli altri? I marchi
www.indie-brands.comwww.paperdollwriting.com
Comprare meno, comprare meglio.

Unmissable the appointment with the 18th edition of Playtime at the Parc Floral de Paris from the 4th to the 6th of July. It promises to be a super dynamic, exciting and regenerative edition thanks to the 470 carefully selected international brands and an increase of 20% of new exhibitors in the section specifically focused on ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories The last edition, which took place between January and February with 450 brands showcasing the the Autumn/Winter 2015 collections, was very successful. Playtime will also be in New York from August 1st to 3rd and in Tokyo from August 25th to 27th.
