About Us

Andante Andante was formed specifically with the aim of fund raising for local charities. Since their formation in 1999 they have raised approaching £65,000 for good causes. Most of its members sing with other larger choirs in the area, but enjoy the more exposed singing of a smaller ensemble. Roger received his musical training at Trinity College of Music, where he studied organ with Martin Neary and conducting with Bernard Keeffe. He then taught in Upper Schools in Bedfordshire and Hertford-shire for many years. In addition to Andante, he currently directs Newport Pagnell Singers. He has toured Europe and the Far East as an examiner for Trinity Guildhall. Now retired from the hectic teaching commitment, he is finding time for all those relaxing pastimes he has missed in the past… like making music! Ed Tomlinson Accompanist

Ed has been Andante’s accompanist for the past 15 years. As well as assisting groups and soloists in MK and the surrounding counties, Ed is a versatile instrumentalist playing clarinet, saxophone and organ. He is equally at home whether playing jazz or classical music. Ed is a chartered tax adviser by profession, having worked over 10 years at what was originally a gap year job!
