CHINESE ARCITECTURE

The traditional Chinese architecture being a part of Chinese culture is based on the principles of balance and symmetry. The Chinese architecture joins rectangular shapes of varying sizes to form a building. The traditional Chinese architecture uses wood as a basic building material. Wood means life and the Chinese culture gives more importance to sustenance of life in various forms. The traditional rectangular Chinese houses are divided into several rooms, using wooden pillars and beams. The interior spaces of these houses exhibit the ethical and social values of Chinese culture.

BASIC IDEA AND STRUCTURE: A Chinese structure is based on the principle of balance and symmetry. Office buildings, residences, temples, and palaces all follow the principle that the main structure is the axis. The secondary structures are positioned as two wings on either side to form the main room and yard. The distribution of interior space reflects Chinese social and ethical values. For example, a traditional residential building assigns family members based on the family's hierarchy. ROOFS:

Even though it may not seem like roofs are an important part of Chinese architecture, they are very important. Roofs did not only protect residences from the elements, they also had a deeper meaning. For example, temple roofs were curved because the Buddhist believed that it helped ward off evil spirits which were believed to be straight lines. The temple's roof is also made of glazed ceramic tiles and has an overhanging cave distinguished by a graceful upward slope. The arc at which the roof turns comes from the intricate fit of rafters. They used rods of short rafters that melt together Even wealthy homes had elaborate roofs.

One perfect example of splendid roofs would be located inside the wonderful palace, The Forbidden Palace. The thirteen tombs all have roof tiles which are a brilliant yellow, green, and red. The ridge of each roof carries figurines and/or mythical creatures. The curve of each roof can be no more than a sweep and the most intricate designs on the roof are almost always pointing south-east. However, there are some down sides to having all of these decorations of the roof. MAIN FEATURES:

Architectural Bilateral symmetry

An important feature in Chinese architecture is its emphasis on articulation and bilateral symmetry, which signifies balance. Bilateral symmetry and the articulation of buildings are found everywhere in Chinese architecture, from palace complexes to humble farmhouses. When possible, plans for renovation and extension of a house will often try to maintain this symmetry provided that there is enough capital to do so. Secondary elements are positioned either side of main structures as two wings to maintain overall bilateral symmetry.

HORIZONTAL EMPHASIS Classical Chinese buildings, especially those of the wealthy are built with an emphasis on breadth and Less on height, with close heavy platform and a large roof that floats over this base, with the vertical walls Not well emphasized. This contrasts Western architecture, which tends to grow in height and depth. Chinese architecture stresses the visual impact of the width of the buildings.

ENCLOSURE Contemporary Western architectural practices typically involve surrounding a building by an open yard on the property. This contrasts with much of traditional Chinese architecture, which involves constructing buildings or building complexes that take up an entire property but encloses open spaces within itself. These enclosed spaces come in two forms: the open courtyard (院) and the "sky well" (天井). WHAT IS THE CHINESE ARCHITECTURE The Chinese Restaurant concept has always focused on serving fresh, high quality food, cooked to order and served in a friendly, exciting, and clean environment. All products used or sold in our restaurants are ordered from the Company’s centralized commissary and warehouse. This centralized distribution helps us control product quality and consistency.

WHILE DESIGNING THE RESTAURANT

The impressive interior designing of hotels and restaurants can assist them to attract large numbers of guests. We possess a deep knowledge of hotel and restaurant interior designing to provide maximum functionality without compromising on aesthetic looks. Our designing services add sophistication and charm to reception room, cafe, swimming pools, bars, discotheques, entertainment zones and many other areas. While jazzing up the interior of these restaurants, we keep in mind color shades, false ceiling, flooring, lighting and other various factors.

RESTAURANT PLANNING Space influences building, operating cost and efficiency. When space is too small labor time and efforts are likely to increased volume and quality of output decreases. Requirement for the restaurant as per space depend upon the location type of operation client frequency of deliveries of supplies kind of food used fresh frozen caned, the completeness of processing to be done. The other general conditions to be observed are number to be served turned over arrival rate and type of service will be helpful in deciding dining areas.

RESTAURANT DESIGN

A commercial establishment where meals can be ordered and eaten, or a building (or part of a building) or any place used as a place where breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner are prepared and/or served to its clientele. People (client) come to these places to ease their stress and eat in a surrounding that makes them feel good.

Many things are important while restaurant designing like kitchen area, kitchen layout, dining area, style of sitting arrangement, area requirement for traffic lane etc.

Client brief: My client Miss. Archna Gupta requires a restaurant which is based on a totally new concept catering to all types of client..The look he requires or the ambience that he is looking for is elite and more of traditional look, can be history inspired like Chinese etc. This project of the restaurant is located inside the premises of the hotel change and this restaurant caters to Chinese food. Especially for this region. This restaurant is made on water body and architecture followed is Chinese architecture has more of usage of good. The concept behind designing this restaurant from this point the concept behind this architecture with wood is only because wood is a warm feeling and since the restaurant it gives a airy feeling, the water beneath gives a freshness feeling. With the flora and fauna planted around the restaurant. The colors used are:-warm and derived from Chinese architecture. In this restaurant the furniture and the whole layout has been done keeping into mine. The human space needed with the oriental look. The material that he wants to choose should be focusing the look adopted. People should lose in the aura of restaurant.

The structure of the restaurant was first made keeping in to mind the client requirement so that space could be done better. The space or structure raised is as per the Egyptian architecture.
