SAAT MANUEVER KAPAL BAIK MEMASUKI PELABUHAN UNTUK BERLABUH ATAU SANDAR ATAU IKAT DI BUOY MAUPUN SAAT AKAN BERTOLAK DARI DERMAGA MENUJU KELAUT MAKA KOMUNIKASI ANTARA PERWIRA, NAKHODA ATAU PANDU DENGAN JURU MUDI HARUS TERJALIN DENGAN BAIK SESUAI STANDARD SMCP (IMO STANDARD MARINE COMMUNICATION PHRASES).

SAAT AKAN MEMASUKI PELABUHAN baik oleh Nakhoda atau oleh Pilot akan ada perintah dari Nakhoda/Pilot kepada Perwira dan Juru Mudi (Helmsman) mengenai jalannya mesin induk, bow thruster dan kemudi dan haluan yang harus dikemudikan, dimana OOW dan Juru Mudi harus mengulangi perintah Nakhoda/Pilot sambil melaksanakannya dan memberitahukan bahwa perintah sudah terlaksana, sebagai contoh variasi perintah Kemudi, Telegraph dan Bow Thruster sebagai berikut.

Perintah dan pelaksanaan kemudi, telegraph dan Bow Thruster sesuai kebutuhan yang diinginkan Nakhoda atau Pandu, dengan langkah-langkah berikut ;

OOW ; "Ok Capt., Good morning sir, please prepare bow thruster" (OOW Telphone ECR)

Engineer On Watch ; "Good morning sir, prepare bow thruster, will inform you once ready, thank you"

OOW ; "Okay, thank you" (OOW closed the phone)

Selang 30 menit kemudian, telpon berdering yang datang dari EOW

EOW ; "Bridge, Bow Thruster ready"

OOW ; "Noted, bow thruster ready, thank you", kemudian hidupkan bow thruster sesuai prosedur.

Setelah pilot on the bridge, berikan salam, suguhkan mineral water, kue dan tanyakan apa yang ingin pilot minum (kopi, teh atau milo atau soft drink), kemudian sodorkan pilot card & pilot checklist, dan informasi propeller (fix propeller right handed, kalu mundur haluan kekiri), bow thruster 1000HP = 736kW, jarak bridge ke bow 135.35meter, mooring arrangement three two = tiga dua yang artinya head lines 3, stern lines 3, spring line 2 depan & belakang, status mesin sekarang slow ahead dan wheel mid ship. Selanjutnya sbb ;

Nakhoda ; "Good morning sir, welcome on board, engine slow ahead, rudder midship and bow thruster ready, here is the pilot card & checklist, can i offer you a cup of coffe or tea or cold soft drink"?

Pilot ; "Oh, i preffer a cup of coffee, one sugar and one cream, Thank you Captain, please half ahead engine"

OOW ; "Half ahead", mengulangi perintah Pilot sambil mendorong telegraph ke posisi half ahead, dan menulis waktu jam, menit & detik pada buku manuever (bell book) sambil melihat jarum indikator telegraph, saat jarum penunjuk naik darii slow ke half ahead OOW harus menginformasikan bahwa mesin sudah jalan half ahead.

OOW ; "Engine half ahead, sir"

Pilot ; "Thank you"

Pilot ; "Starboard ten"

Helmsman ; "Starboard ten", sambil memutar kemudi kekanan kearah angka 10 dearajat, setelah jarum menunjukan angka 10, informasikan bahwa kemudi sudah 10 derajat kanan.

Helmsman ; "Starboard ten wheel on, sir"

Pilot ; "Thank you, hard to starboard"

Helmsman ; "Hard to starboard", sambil memutar kemudi kekanan hingga 35 derajat, saat penunjuk jarum sudah bearada pada 35 derajat, info ke Pilot.

Helmsman ; "Rudder hard to starboard, sir" atau "wheel hard to starboard, sir"

Pilot ; "Very good, mid ship"

Helmsman ; "Mid ship" sambil memutar kemudi kekiri hingga ke '0' tengah-tengah, setelah jarum menunjukkan '0' tengah-tengah, laporkan sesuai sambil membaca penunjuk haluan pada panel kemudi.

Helmsman ; "Rudder mid ship, sir" atau "Mid ship's wheel, sir"

Pilot ; "Steady"

Helmsman ; "Steady" sambil memutar kemudi kearah berlawanan dengan arah haluan kapal dimana angka penunjuk kompas yang diinginkan harus dipertahankan dan tiang depan juga menjadi pedoman haluan, sambil baca angka kompas lalu diinformasikan ke Pilot, misalnya 219 derajat.

Helmsman ; "Steady two one nine (219), sir"

Nakhoda ; "Thank you, slow ahead engine, please"

OOW ; "Slow ahead engine", perwira jaga mengulangi perintah Pilot sambil menarik telegraph ke posisi slow ahead, setelah mesin turun ke slow ahead dan jarum telegraph pada panel menunjukan slow ahead, info ke Nakhoda bahwa mesin jalan slow ahead.

OOW ; "Engine slow ahead, sir"

Pilot ; "Thank you, port ten"

Helmsman ; "Port ten", sambil memutar kemudi kekiri hingga jarum menunjukkan angka 10, lalu info sesuai.

Helmsman ; "Rudder port ten, sir", atau "port ten wheel, sir"

Nakhoda ; "Thank you, dead slow ahead engine"

OOW ; "Dead slow ahead engine" sambil menarik telegraph ke dead slow ahead, sampai jarum sesuai

JIKA OPERASI BT DARI LUAR/BRIDGE WING MAKA PUTAR TOMBOL CONTROL MODE KE PORTABLE, LALU AMBIL REMOTE CONTROL DARI STORE ANJUNGAN KEMUDIAN SAMBUNGKAN PADA SLOT YANG TERSEDIA DI BRIDGE WING KIRI ATAU KANAN, OPERASIKAN SESUAI KEBUTUHAN/ORDER PILOT. (DIOPERASIKAN OLEH NAKHODA).

NOTE ;

- Selama River Passage (keluar-masuk sungai) BT harus sudah siap,

- Jangan Operasikan BT pada kecepatan 5 knots atau lebih,

- Jika operasi BT failure (gagal) pada pertama kali, matikan dulu BT, informasikan ke ECR situasinya kemudian coba lagi. Jika failure hingga tiga kali, jangan switch on BT hingga satu jam kemudian, minta ECR/Elect untuk RESET, check dan pastikan segala sesuatunya sudah normal lalu hidupkan kembail BT sesuai prosedur.
