Members of the public are invited to participate in dialogue on the discussion paper by providing written submissions or feedback through an online survey at the engagement website: engage.gov.bc. ca/interiorforestrenewal Specific policy areas the public is be- ing asked for input include: forest tenure & fibre supply; climate change & forest carbon; manufacturing capacity & fibre use; wood products innovation; recon- ciliation with Indigenous communities; and fibre & sustainability of timber & non-timber forest values. Thinking outside the box If Suffering was a Tree Many individuals desire to improve the conditions the people exist in, and every generation men and women ef- fort toward this end. Yet, countless have come and gone and the status quo re- mains. This is so because those who desire a better world are trimming the branches and not pulling on the roots. The roots are not unearthed and this is because the knowledge required to lift the masses above the artificial suffering induced by our current eco-political ar- rangement isn’t taught, and most people who wish for a better world are not sac- rificing to learn how to improve human existence. Passion without knowledge only convolutes the problem. Like a Shakespearean tragedy, tragi- cally, the required knowledge is allusive and no school is teaching this wisdom. A person must seek this knowledge without knowing where to begin the quest. To make the journey a little more hopeless, the knowledge is locked behind an unknown closed door, 50 feet thick, and guarded by 1000 armed men—metaphorically speaking. The task to learn how to make the world a better place and the causes of our hardship is Herculean. Yet, this is the duty of every living person—to discover why the world turns and how to turn it. With this understanding, a person might emancipate the planet, and with this understanding, a person has an opportunity to harmonize with heaven and live with true purpose. Without this awareness, does one truly live? Now, where does one begin this quest for knowledge? The first step, as suggested by many great thinkers of our past such as Pythagoras and his three most notable suc- cessors—Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, is to unlearn what an individual has learned, and to pay little mind to the manufactured popular information hand-downed by the overlords. — Mike Bhangu, Amazon best-selling author MERRITT MORNING Please recycle Office Supplies (250)378-6882 Printing & Engraving (250)378-6808 1951 Garcia St., Merritt, BC 2037 Quilchena Avenue, Merritt BC 250-378-2155 FREE Delivery for Seniors & Those with Restricted Mobility BLACK’S PHARMACY Merritt Printing & Office Supplies is now your local agent for Parcel pick up & drop off hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, 1951A Garcia St WEEKEND EDITION JULY 26, 2019 #3308 News, opinion, community events since 1996! Many individuals desire to improve the conditions the people exist in, and every generation men and women ef-fort toward this end. Yet, countless have come and gone and the status quo re-mains. This is so because those who desire a better world are trimming the branches and not pulling on the roots.

The roots are not unearthed and this is because the knowledge required to lift the masses above the artificial suffering induced by our current eco-political ar-rangement isn’t taught, and most people who wish for a better world are not sac-rificing to learn how to improve human existence. Passion without knowledge only convolutes the problem.

Like a Shakespearean tragedy, tragi-cally, the required knowledge is allusive and no school is teaching this wisdom.
