Services

Demolition (1 of 2)

Effective, safe demolition on industrial, commercial and

public sector sites calls for specialist experience, skills and

equipment.

Murtagh Demolition has all three - wide experience of

full and partial demolition within the tightest physical and

time constraints, a fully trained workforce, and the

specialist equipment required for the most difficult or

intricate work.

Demolition (2 of 2)

Murtagh Demolition's service has three other important

benefits - the flexibility offered by a round-the-clock

demolition capability, a "green" attitude towards on-site

materials processing and recycling and perhaps most

importantly, the benefit of a high quality service at a

competitive price.

Case Studies

Oil Tank Dismantling

Murtagh undertook the dismantling of an oil tanker, 25M

in diameter and 16M high, within an operational plant.

This task was carried out just meters away from building

that continued to process fuel and oil products throughout

the dismantling of this tank. The dismantling of this tank

was carried out using cold cutting methods to prepare the

tank to be cold cut by a 25M long reach excavator with

shear attachment.

Asbestos Removal & Hospital Demolition

This is the second large hospital that Murtagh have been

involved in carrying out an extensive asbestos removal

contract prior to demolition works commencing. Large

volumes of tiles, timber and bricks were salvaged from the

works along with a crushing and screening operation

processing 60,000 tonnes of 6F1 Grade 8 and Type 1

material for re-use on the site.

Case Studies

Complex Town Centre Demolition

This particular job was in a town centre. Murtagh were

nominated demolition contractor due to our experience in

successfully completing projects of such complexity.

The building to be demolished was a three storey brick

structure with basement, adjoining a jewellers shop and

County hall. The works had to be carried out by hand

demolition with the only access being out onto the main

street.
