1. COMPANY OVERVIEW
AVIT is a subsidiary and most recent member of the Egyptian Holding Company for
Airports and Air Navigation (EHCAAN), which is one of the two Holding companies of the Egyptian
Ministry Of Civil Aviation; the other one being EgyptAir Holding Company.
AVIT has been established since November 2002 under
the Egyptian law 203 for the year 1991 to provide ICT
products, services and solutions, especially tailored to serve
the Civil Aviation in Egypt. Although AVIT is considered the
most recent member of companies belonging to the Egyptian
Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, AVIT has
succeeded along this short period to acquire a customer base
of more than 45 Clients and over 90 Contracted Projects.
The company has been founded by prominent and
profound experts with over 20 years of experience in both
aviation and information technology. AVIT is now in the process of increasing the number of its
employees to 250 by June 2009, to match with our new projects' requirements, whereas the
company is currently operating with 180 employees for the time being. AVIT Turnover exceeds 30
Million EGP as per the fiscal year July 2007 – June 2008 and expected to reach 80 Million EGP by
the end of June 2010. AVIT has been assessed and certified as meeting the standards of the ISO
9001:2008 Certificate in March 18th, 2009.
