We started to work in Livorno acting as Agents for cargo and passenger Vessels and we have represented the major Shipping Companies trading between Mediterranean ports and the rest of the world proposing as always more specialized and personalized network of services offered by the growth of our activity at all main Italian ports.Through companies operating mainly in international shipping the activity of the Fanfani group covers the entire logistic requirements of all commodities offering direct services as Shipping Agents for cargo, container, bulk , passenger and ro-ro Vessels, international sea and air forwarding, shore handlings, warehousing and distribution, road and rail transportation.

From steam Vessels to post-panamax Ships, from porterages to containers handlings, from transport with drawn carts to intermodal services, the tradition of Fanfani group carries on today under the managements of Guido and Vincenzo Fanfani.Giorgio Fanfani, President of Fanfani srl, has been active in shipping business since early fifties and has covered prestigious public appointments such as President of Asamar (Livorno Shipping Agents association), President of Federagenti (Italian Shipping Agents association), vice-President of Fonasba (World >Shipping Agents association), President of the Italian Port Users Committee; at present he is Honorary Consul of Denmark and member of the board of the Bank of Italy (Livorno branch).

Tuscania was founded in 1972 and has acted as Stevedoring Company, storekeeper, cargo handling and Terminal Operator in the port of Livorno. In the years, also following the requests received from important clients of Fanfani Agency, services offered have increased with particular concentration on international forwarding, both by sea and air, where the experience of the Fanfani group in the specific field allowed a quick and important growth in this particular activity.Nowadays Tuscania, also through a large net of correspondents in Italy and abroad, is a solid, dynamic and safe partner to which commit the

Traces of this company date 1875 but certainly the activity of Shipping Agents in the port of Livorno goes back several years before. Unfortunately, as happened in several cases, air bombing suffered by the town of Livorno during second world war made is useless to carry out proper research in the social files or with the Chamber of Commerce as all files went destroyed.Only the 1875 edition of Lloyds Register was found and it includes William Shepherd amongst its subscribers: this volume is jealously preserved in our offices. William Shepherd offers Agency services exclusively dedicated to Cruise Vessels and represent the most important Cruise Companies of the world virtually since the first Cruise Vessel entered the Mediterranean.William Shepherd is the only Agency in Livorno
