Arts Award is a range of nationally recognised qualifications and a fun way of inspiring young people to grow as artists. Arts Award Discover is the introductory Arts Award. Find out more at www.artsaward.org.uk
We have everything you need to complete you Arts Award Discover for free at home! There are three major parts which need to be completed. Create a portfolio to showcase your work in each part and get a fantastic certificate!
Part 1: Discover and take part in the ArtsPart 2: Find out about Artists and their workPart 3: Share your Discoveries
Work your way through the activities outlined on the next page. You can use whatever materials you like to record your activities; writing, drawing, painting, taking photos or videos…get creative!
You can put together your own portfolio either by hand, or on a computer. If you have completed your portfolio by hand please photograph each section. You can download our portfolio as a guide here.
It is recommended you spend around 20 hours completing all the activities.
What is Arts Award?
What do you have to do?
Email your portfolio and your name to Aerona Moore (Learning and Engagement Officer) at [email protected]. Aerona is a trained Arts Award Adviser and will check your work. You can also get in touch with Aerona for any help or guidance.
Your Arts Award Discover Certificate will come from Trinity College London. Due to the current situation with Covid-19 your certificates may take longer than 12 weeks to process. There is no cost associated with completing your Arts Award Discover with the Lapworth Museum of Geology.
