Concord Industries, Inc. brings over fifty years of experience in the aluminum flagpole industry and during that time has proven to offer the best flagpole value, the highest level of professional customer service and continued product innovation. Many products and concepts now offered by many and often considered as standard in the industry, originated at Concord. We specialize in outdoor aluminum flagpoles that covers the range from the small sectional residential flagpoles to a complete line of tapered aluminum flagpoles for both residential and commercial application. We proudly offer a wide range of shaft height/base diameter /wall thickness combinations to address virtually any installation and wind requirement specification.

Product quality and design safety are priorities. Our flagpole shafts are manufactured in the United States from 6063 T6 aluminum with a tensile strength not less than 30,000psi and a yield point of 25,000psi. The heat treated shafts are polished to a deep luster finish, creating an elegant sheen. Architectural finishes such as a natural anodize and a bronze or black anodize finish are very popular as are powdercoat finishes.

Components used in Concord’s flagpoles are of the highest quality with value in mind. Our castings are manufactured in the United States to our specifications. The pulley assemblies, referred to as trucks, can range from a small stationary unit to heavy duty revolving versions with dual sealed bearing assemblies and an optional stainless steel spindle for more demanding applications. They are simply the best available. Our patented flagpole ball is constructed in our facility using the strongest design and materials. Again, the best. Our spun collars, standard on most series, were recently upgraded to an even thicker aluminum. Flagpoles with a 10" or 12" base are automatically upgraded to a thick cast aluminum collar at no additional charge. In 2012, a newly designed counterweight was patented and standard on all internal halyard flagpoles. New products come through the design and/or patent stage at all times.

LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY

CONCORD INDUSTRIES, INC. (“CI”) warrants to the first purchaser (“Buyer”) of a CI product (the “Product”) that the Product will, upon shipment by CI, be free from defects in material and workmanship (the “Warranty”). WITH RESPECT TO APPLIED FINISHES, HALYARDS AND FLAGS, CI MAKES NO, AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL, WARRANTIES.

If any failure to conform to the Warranty appears, and written notice of such failure is given to CI, within twelve (12) months from the date of shipment by CI (the ”Warranty Period”), CI will, upon substantiation of such nonconformity and at its sole option, either repair or replace the non-conforming Product. Specifically excluded from the Warranty is the cost to remove, ship replace, or reinstall the non-conforming or repaired/replaced Product. Repair or replacement by CI is the Buyer’s sole remedy, and CI’s sole obligation, in the event of a failure to conform to the Warranty. The Warranty does not cover defects or failures resulting from improper installation, overloading, accident, misuse, or neglect nor does it cover the Product if it has been (i) altered or modified (unless the change has been approved in writing, by CI) or (ii) used for any purpose for which the Product was not specifically designed, regardless of whether such use is known to CI. All warranty claims must be directed to CONCORD INDUSTRIES, INC. CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT, P.O. Box 2449, ADDISON, TEXAS 75001. The Product shall not be returned without prior written authorization of CI and must be shipped freight prepaid by the Buyer. If CI elects to replace the nonconforming Product, such replaced Product shall become the property of CI.

CI MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANT ABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ALL OTHER IMPLIED WARRANTIES OTHER THAN THOSE THAT MAY NOT BE DISCLAIMED AS A MATTER OF LAW. THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY THAT MAY NOT BE DISCLAIMED BY APPLICABLE STATE OR FEDERAL LAW IS LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD.

REGARDLESS OF WHETHER A CLAIM AGAINST CI IS BASED ON THE WARRANTY OR IS AN ACTION IN CONTRACT, TORT (NEGLIGENCE OR STRICT LIABILITY) OR OTHERWISE, CI’S LIABILITY FOR LOSSES, DAMAGES, OR EXPENSES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM THE DESIGN, MANUFACTURE, INSTALLATION, USE, REPAIR, OR SALE OF THE PRODUCT IS LIMITED, UNLESS OTHERWISE PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TO AN AMOUNT NOT EXCEEDING THE COST OF THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO SUCH LIABILITY. CI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH MAY VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

CAUTIONExtreme care must be exercised when installing flagpoles near overhead power lines, or when digging in the vicinity of buried cable. During installation, extreme care should be exercised to insure that all component parts of the Product are securely attached.

PRICES, TERMS and CONDITIONSPrices shown in this price list are Recommended List Prices and generally do not include freight or installation costs. Discounts for quantity flagpole purchases might be available from a dealer. As part of our commitment to the highest level of customer service as part of the value offered by Concord, we will pay the freight and add a freight charge to the invoice. There are many advantages to you when we do this. However, upon request, motor freight shipments can be shipped collect or as a prepaid in the name of the invoice bill-to.

Purchases are invoiced at the time of shipment. As a dealer, applications for an open account should be submitted in advance of placing the first order. We realize that this cannot always be accomplished, so orders placed for immediate shipment can, in some cases, be shipped COD. Additionally, Concord is pleased to accept MasterCard and Visa, and Discover at the time of purchase.

CHECK THE FLAGPOLE AND PARTS BOX WHEN RECEIVEDWe have made every attempt possible to insure that the product will arrive to our customer in a complete and excellent condition. We appreciate any feedback that you can give us. Please inspect the shaft package and carton of parts upon delivery. The shipping tube is designed to protect the shaft so if the cardboard tube is damaged, it is not an automatic sign of pole damage but is a reason to inspect more closely. If accepted, note any sign of damage or shortage on the freight bill when signing for the product.

The buyer is responsible for insuring the conformance of delivered material to his order or governing specifications and verify that what has been received was complete and agrees with what was ordered. Installing incorrect or incomplete product is done at the consignee’s risk. No back charges will be accepted without the written approval of the President of Concord Industries.

A satin aluminum flagpole shaft can stain if allowed to remain in contact with wet or damp wrappings. If there is any sign of moisture, immediately remove the shaft from the tube, unwrap and dry immediately. If the shaft is to be stored outdoors, it must be stored off the ground and unwrapped.

WINDSPEED CHART FOR FLAGPOLE / FLAG APPLICATIONThe map below, when used in conjunction with the product chart on the opposite page, can be an extremely valuable tool when selecting the desired aluminum flagpole and flag size combination. The major factors in selecting the best value in a flagpole with regard to strength include wind zone location, flagpole height, base diameter, wall thickness, flag type and size, and proximity of the flagpole to other structures that might affect the wind’s characteristics. These calculations can also be helpful when considering the esthetic aspects of the flagpole and flag pairing for a specific installation. For example, if a 5" diameter, 30' pole is desired in a region with significant wind speeds, an increase in the wall thickness can add the needed strength.

This map, revised in 2007 by the National Association of Architectural Metal Manufacturers ( NAAMM ) in compliance with changes in the American National Standards Institute ( ANSI ) building codes shows the maximum steady wind expected within a 50 year period of recurrence at an elevation of 30 feet above ground.

On the opposite page is a listing of the standard flagpole sizes offered by Concord Industries. Shown next to each is the maximum recommended NYLON flag for that flagpole. The following columns show the wind speed for that flagpole without a flag and then with the listed maximum size nylon flag. There are two sets of unflagged and flagged wind speed numbers. The first pair use ANSI/NAAMM FP1001-97 calculations and the second pair use the slightly more conservative ANSI/NAAMM FP1001-07 calculations. Windspeeds with a flag does not guarantee that the flag itself will be able to withstand those speeds and that the flag does not become tangled, effectively becoming a sail. Contact the factory if polyester flags will be used.

These calculations are for embedded or ground mounted flagpoles with a single flag. Contact the factory for shoebase mount and other mounting applications or for wind speeds using polyester or multiple flags. Do NOT fly banners or signage attached to opposing flagpoles or a flag or banner that attaches at more than the traditional two flag mounting corners. Attaching at three or more corners or from a crossbar style banner pole will create a sail effect significantly passing the recommended maximum load that the flagpole was designed to carry in the winds shown. Contact the factory for banner pole information.

CAUTION: Flag size recommendations do not constitute a warranty that flags of the size shown may be safely flown in all wind speeds. Flying oversized flags may result in personal injury, property damage or damage to the flagpole. Extreme caution should be exercised when installing flagpoles near overhead power lines or in the vicinity of underground cable or utility pipes.

Single & Multi-Piece FlagpolesWhen a flagpole purchase is considered, the concept of value should include the quality of the flagpole and its components, factory support and the overall cost of the purchase. When considering cost, freight should not be ignored but should not be the deciding factor. Concord Industries has and will continue to search every possible way to reduce that cost without putting the quality of the product or the safety of its delivery at risk.

Due to the processes and machinery used in the manufacture of tapered aluminum flagpole shafts, flagpole shafts with an overall length greater than 38'6" are manufactured in multiple sections. Sections can be easily field assembled using the patented, self aligning internal sleeve without any loss of structural integrity. Only a relatively small area at the joint will indicate that it is not a single piece flagpole.

Concord continues to offer several different models of the single piece 30' exposed height flagpole shaft with an overall length of 33' and the 35' exposed height flagpole shaft with an overall length of 38'6". We will continue to obtain the best possible shipping rates from our Concord manufacturing facilities in Minnesota and Texas. These one piece shafts will continue to be shipped in 45' trailers via public carriers or via a private, dedicated truck for large orders or for the larger 12" diameter flagpoles. However, to address the need to further reduce freight and to reach areas that are not being serviced by longer trailers, Concord offers the same types of products in a 2 piece shaft configuration that can ship via less expensive pup trailers. Although our price might be slightly higher for a 2 piece shaft in order to cover the additional manufacturing costs, the total net cost to you – flagpole plus freight – can be less.

Nominal Exposed Heights of Flagpoles“Nominal Exposed Height” or “Exposed Height”, when used in Concord’s literature, refers to the approximate exposed height above grade when only measuring the flagpole shaft. When the truck and finial are added to create the traditional flagpole, the total exposed height of the assembled unit will be greater by 1'-2' depending on the truck assembly and finial being used. This can be relevant in areas with height ordinances. Upon request and at no additional charge, Concord can shorten the overall length of the shaft so that when the truck and finial are attached, and the amount of shaft that should be in the ground sleeve is taken into consideration, the actual exposed height of the “flagpole” will be the requested height.

25' Nominal Height Single Piece Flagpole Shafts are manufactured to fit Pup TrailersConcord Industries, as have other manufacturers in the industry, now manufacture the 25' flagpole in a single piece with an overall length of 26'6" that will set into a 2'6" ground sleeve. When put into shipping tubes, the single piece shaft assembly can be shipped in a pup trailer at a significant freight savings. When the truck assembly and finial are attached, the nominal height of the completed flagpole is 25'. If you wish to receive a full 27'6" shaft, please specify when ordering the flagpole.

Shipping Large FlagpolesWe strongly recommend that you allow us to ship all flagpoles with a diameter of 10" or greater by way of a direct shipment carrier from our Texas and Minnesota plants. Due to the size and weight of the sections, it is not advisable to use a multiple stop and change truck LTL. Minimal transfer handling of these flagpoles is critical.

FLAGPOLE SHIPPING CONSIDERATIONS

Shoebase mount flagpoles are used primarily where embedded type mounts cannot be used. Example of this might include installation on a building or garage or where electrical wiring for illumination or hazard lights are introduced into the shaft. Many flagpoles with a 5" through 12" base diameter can be factory converted to a 4 bolt shoebase configuration. Shoebase conversions are not recommended for the Extreme series flagpoles.

For shoebase applications, the following prices should be added to the flagpole's list price. This charge includes the recommended anchor bolts and collar and the deletes the price of the ground sleeve that would have been otherwise supplied.

Minimum foundation dimensions shown on the ground mount cross section are based on ANSI-NAAMM recommendations for stable soil conditions. It is the responsibility of the installer to determine the appropriate foundation requirements for the conditions of the actual installation site.

CAUTION: Extreme care must be exercised when installing flagpoles near overhead power lines or when digging in the vicinity of buried utilities. During the installation, extreme care should be taken to insure that all components are securely attached.

SHOEBASE MOUNT FLAGPOLES

Concord flagpoles are produced in the traditional ground mount or embedded configuration which is the generally accepted standard in the flagpole industry. In this configuration, the overall shaft length is approximately 10% longer than the nominal exposed length of the shaft. For example, for a flagpole with an exposed shaft height of 30' – not counting the truck and the finial - the overall shaft length is 33' with 3' going into the sleeve. This is considered to be the strongest mounting method for flagpoles.

Concord tapered aluminum flagpoles are manufactured in the cone tapered design tradition. The length of the non-taper amount varies per pole but then begins a graceful straight taper to the top diameter. Flagpoles in this catalog are priced using cone tapered aluminum shafts.

Some schools of architecture hold that a building column …or a flagpole,… with a standard, conical taper might appear to curve inward when viewed against the light of the sky. To counteract this illusion, early architects devised the technique of curving the taper gently outward to create a pleasing and more nearly perfect appearance. This taper is commonly referred to an Entasis Taper. The most widely recognized use of entasis columns can be found on the Parthenon. The Entasis Taper is available as an add-on pricing option on certain Concord flagpoles.

The prices shown are the amounts to be added to the list price of your selected flagpole. Simply add this price to the list price of the model chosen in this price list. For example, the list price for the single piece shaft, 30' Independence with a 6" base, a .188 wall with a natural anodized finish, shown on page 21 is $3,720.00 This is the list price for a cone tapered flagpole. Deep Luster FinishThe satin finish is the most popular. This is the finish that the shaft receives from its polish. As a bare metal finish, the brightness will soften over time due to the ongoing process of oxidation. Concord offers several finishes to enhance the beauty of the flagpole and slow the oxidation process.

Natural Anodized FinishThis process coats the shaft with a chemical treatment using an electrostatic process in a chemical bath. The chemical coating adheres to the metal at the molecular level rather than just adhering to the surface like an enamel paint finish. The Natural Anodized finish is slightly duller than the polished satin finish. In all but extreme cases, the application of a natural anodized finish can keep a flagpole looking “like new” for a much longer period of time.

Bronze & Black DuranodicThis process offers the same protective qualities of the Natural Anodized process with the addition of color. Available architectural colors for use on aluminum flagpoles are 311 Light Bronze, 312 Medium Bronze, or 313 Dark Bronze as well as 335 Black. These are rated as a Class I Architectural Finish. They can only be removed by chemically stripping the coating off the metal or by literally removing a thin layer of metal by abrasive means. The various bronze shades and the 335 Black are shown on page 13.

Powdercoat Paint FinishUnlike other paint finishes available for use on aluminum, powdercoat paint itself is a dry powder. Similar to the anodized finishes, it is applied to the aluminum shaft by way of an electrostatic process. The coated metal is then baked at a moderate temperature to bond it to the metal at a molecular level. Also unlike many popular painted finishes, the baking temperature required for powdercoat paint is not so great as to reverse the benefits of the heat treating process which is critical in the process of manufacturing the shaft. Reheating the shaft beyond a certain temperature range will weaken the shaft significantly. Powdercoat paint finishes are available in a variety of colors and have a good wear rate.

Concord’s EXTREME External Halyard Flagpoles, produced with a larger base diameter and/or wall thickness to increase the strength and increased wind speed rating, are ideal for any application where higher demands are placed on flagpoles due to weather or even by the desire to fly larger or multiple flags. These are the best of the best.

In addition to the increased shaft dimensions, the components on the EXTREME External Halyard are all heavy duty. The spun aluminum ball is Concord’s patented design and runs on our heavy duty single sheave truck assembly with an aluminum sheave on a stainless steel axle and upper and lower automotive grade sealed spindle bearings spinning on a stainless steel spindle. Nylon halyard with stainless steel flag snaps is standard. A thick FC11 style cast aluminum collar is provided. For other collar styles see page 43.

Single Halyard system is standard. A double halyard system is available as a $40 upgrade. Specify when ordering.

Concord’s EXTREME Internal Halyard flagpoles have all the features of the popular Independence Internal Halyard flagpole but with a larger base diameter and/or wall thickness to further increase the strength and increased wind speed capabilities.

The EXTREME Internal Halyard also gives you a choice between the cast aluminum cone style internal halyard truck and the Concord patented designed flagpole ball of the size of the base of the pole or –AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE – the cast aluminum, gold Ball/Truck combination in a 8", 10" or 12" diameter, depending on the base diameter and height of the flagpole. Both the cone style truck and the Ball/Truck use a thick cast bronze cable exit bushing for longer truck life and will be fitted with dual, sealed, automotive style bearing assemblies that rotate on a stainless steel spindle.

A smooth, flush door configuration in conjunction with a thick aluminum casting welded into the door opening supplies the needed structural integrity when a significant opening is made in a flagpole shaft. A custom stainless steel gearless winch assembly, designed specifically for the flagpole industry and first introduced by Concord Industries is used in the EXTREME series. The Stationary Platform (SP) winch mounting system is standard on the EXTREME Internal Halyard flagpole. With no moving parts, the SP mount uses an aluminum casting with tamperproof hardware to attach the winch to the rear of the flagpole. The casting is sized for the specific shaft diameter to center the winch in the flagpole. In this configuration, the handle enters the flagpole from the side and the winch is positioned in a manner that still provides ease of access.

Cable assemblies are constructed using stainless steel components with double copper crimped cable end loops and stainless steel snaps

CONTINENTAL external halyard flagpoles provide the traditional rope based halyard system for raising and lowering the flag. Standard fittings include a spun aluminum ball, cast aluminum single sheave revolving truck assembly, braided nylon halyard, brass flagsnaps, cast aluminum cleat, spun aluminum collar and corrugated steel ground sleeve assembly. CONTINENTAL flagpoles with a base diameter of 10" or 12" come with a heavy duty truck assembly which utilizes a heavier spindle rotating on dual precision sealed spindle bearing assemblies with a machined aluminum sheave on a stainless steel axle. Stainless steel flagsnaps are standard on the 10" and 12" base diameter models. The standard configuration is the recommended single halyard format.

Continental Flagpoles with a base diameter of 10" or 12" come with a heavy duty truck assembly with dual double sealed spindle bearings as standard. The spun collar is replaced with a 2 piece, split cast aluminum collar with hidden tabs.

INDEPENDENCE stainless steel cable based, internal halyard flagpoles provide the best solution to the problem of vandalism. A smooth, flush door configuration resulting from the thick, high strength aluminum casting welded into the precision cut door opening supplies the strength needed when a significant opening is made in a flagpole shaft. The heart of the INDEPENDENCE flagpole is the custom stainless steel gearless winch assembly, designed specifically for the flagpole industry and first introduced by Concord Industries.

The winch is mounted on a patented swivel base plate for greater security while continuing to offer ease of maintenance. This swivel winch plate allows the winch to be operated from the handle access hole in the door. A cast winch access hole button in the door provides additional security or can be removed to facilitate daily operation of the flagpole without removing the door.

The INDEPENDENCE Stationary Platform (SP) may be substituted at a reduced price. This design uses a machined aluminum casting with tamperproof hardware to attach the winch to the rear of the flagpole. The casting is sized for the specific shaft diameter to center the winch in the flagpole. In this configuration, the handle enters the flagpole from a side access hole rather than through the door. The winch is still positioned in a manner that still provides ease of access. The SP option reduces the list price of the Independence flagpole by $250.

Cable assemblies are constructed using stainless steel components with double copper crimped cable end loops and stainless steel snaps. The counterweight is the new Concord patented design with thick attachment shafts on both ends. One end attaches to the Flag Arrangement and the other to the Retainer Ring using stainless steel connecting links.

A thick FC11 style spun aluminum collar is standard on flagpoles with up to an 8" base diameter. Flagpoles with a base diameter of 10" or 12" have with a 2 piece, split cast aluminum collar with hidden assembly tabs. Other styles of cast collar upgrades are shown on page 43.

SOVEREIGNTY

SOVEREIGNTY stainless steel cable based internal halyard flagpoles have many of the same features of the INDEPENDENCE but in a lesser priced patented format. These flagpoles are only available in flagpoles with a base diameter of 5", 6" or 7". In lieu of the rotating winch base assembly and welded flush mounted door frame assembly of the INDEPENDENCE, the SOVEREIGNTY series uses a matched set of inner and outer cast door frame castings (patent pending) as used on the SENTRY flagpole series. The frame castings are attached to the flagpole shaft using a series of 8 tamperproof 5/16-18NC stainless steel bolts. The stainless steel, gearless winch mounts securely to the back wall of the flagpole shaft using a thick cast aluminum spacer and tamperproof screws. The handle access hole is at a 90° angle from the door. Service is easily accomplished with this configuration. Since winch access is only needed for product maintenance, the door is secured with tamper proof screws.

SENTRY

SENTRY rope based internal halyard flagpoles were developed and perfected by Concord Industries. Many of the features and designs of this model have become de facto standards in the industry. The rope based format is an excellent choice for flagpoles with heights of 40' or less where additional security is desired but at a lower price than the INDEPENDENCE or the SOVEREIGNTY.

As with all Concord products, product development and innovation is an ongoing program. The recently redesigned, patented access door frame assembly is now comprised of a match set of outer AND inner castings that surround the pole opening using 8 tamperproof 5/16"-18NC stainless steel bolts installed to the recommended torque requirements giving an extremely strong design. The integral cam cleat platform provides additional structural integrity.

The revolving cone style truck assembly is standard equipment on SENTRY flagpoles. These trucks have 26 stainless steel bearings running on a cast race. All SENTRY flagpoles can be upgraded to the cone style truck with dual, precision automotive grade, double sealed, spindle bearings for greater ease of truck rotation and greater truck life. The popular cast aluminum, gold powder painted internal Ball/Truck with dual sealed bearing assemblies is also available. Eagles can easily be fitted to Sentry revolving trucks and revolving Ball/Trucks and allow the eagle to turn with the truck and in the direction which the flag is flying.

The lightweight yet strong PATIO modular series offers an excellent value in a beautiful non-tapered flagpole that is a highly popular choice for the home, apartment landscape, smaller commercial buildings, cemeteries, etc. While less expensive than a tapered flagpole, Concord does not compromise on its commitment to quality with the shaft sections, components or packaging methods. The 2" or 2 ½" diameter flagpole sections are manufactured in the United States from 6063-T6 aluminum with a wall dimension that is among the thickest offered in the industry. In the standard configuration, the tubing is then given a natural anodized finish

to provide a beautiful silver sheen which is long lasting. There will be no rust streaks that are possible on modular steel flagpoles. Bronze and white powder painted finishes are also available as are custom colors for groupings. The top of each section is precision swedged to snugly fit in the section above it to provide a strong water repellent joint and an attractive straight assembly.

Standard fittings include a 3" diameter gold anodized spun aluminum ball with a ½ -13NC stem, a single sheave cast aluminum truck assembly, braided nylon halyard, dual snap hooks, cast cleat and a thick PVC setting sleeve for ease of installation.

PATIO flagpoles can also be fitted with the popular NeverFurl™ rotating system in lieu of the truck assembly, cleat, halyard and flag snaps. The 3" diameter ball screws into a fitted plug that fits into the top of the flagpole to retain a finished flagpole appearance.

PATIO flagpoles are packaged in a heavy wall shipping tube. The shipping tube method rather than a Point of Purchase box better protects the product during shipping and continues to serve as an safe and secure storage container should it be decided to not have the flagpole in year round use. WALL MOUNT FLAGPOLESWhen architectural design or conditions call for the flagpole to be mounted to a building rather than the ground mounted, free standing configuration, Concord Wall Mounted Flagpoles offer a choice of solutions. A variety of cast or fabricated brackets coupled with a wide selection of straight or tapered aluminum shafts are available. While the shaft lengths shown are considered standard lengths, shafts may be incrementally shortened for use in a multiple flagpole applications for a dramatic visual effect. Finishes, such as the application of a gold powdercoat on the base assembly with a gold powdercoated Ball/Truck assembly, may be used to create a unique and elegant appearance.

The brackets are cast and/or fabricated for use in a through the wall bolt application. Due to the large variety of installation variables, attachment bolts are not provided. Pipe ferrules and 4"x4" backing plates are available. Contact the factory for specifics.

VERTICAL WALL MOUNT FLAGPOLES

Vertical wall mount flagpoles can be the best choice when the flag is flying above the roofline. A wide range of cast or fabricated brackets are available to add to the beauty of the installation or to be mounted behind the parapet. Vertical Wall Mount Flagpoles are available with shaft diameters from 2" to 5 ½".

Vertical Wall Mount Flagpoles with a 5" or 5 ½" pole diameter are now also available in an internal halyard configuration for applications.

OUTRIGGER WALL MOUNT FLAGPOLES

If the application is to be mounted where the flag will be below the roofline, the Outrigger Wall Mount Flagpole provides the answer. A variety of brackets can be chosen which will give an off wall angle of 30°, 45° or 60° with shaft diameters from 2" to 4 ½" and 20' in length. Commercial Outrigger Flagpoles longer than 15' will require additional bracing. Contact the factory for specifics. The A31, A32, and the newly redesigned A34 brackets utilize a fabricated aluminum back plate with a cast or fabricated decorative aluminum cover.

The Outrigger Retainer System can be added to aid in raising and lowering the flag in addition to keeping the halyard in-line with the wall and the flagpole shaft. A product sheet is available on this concept.

Concord introduces a variation to the vertical wall mounted flagpole design. The internal halyard gives a cleaner appearance by eliminating the external rope and cleat and gives a workable solution to vandalism when the desire is to fly the flag for longer periods of time.

Vertical Internals are available in the 5" base diameter with a .188" wall thickness with a maximum overall length of 33' or 5 ½" butt diameter with a .188" wall thickness and a maximum 28' overall length. Although shaft lengths are shown as the maximum length available for that specific shaft, they can be shortened to other desired lengths upon request. Example: the 33'x 5"x .188" can be shortened to 29' or a 23' to 20'. This can be most effective on multiple pole installations with staggered heights. Contact factory for longer sizes or modifications to the bracket designs.

The Vertical Internal system mounts the internal halyard winch (Independence) or the cam cleat assembly (Sentry) in the lower bracket rather than in the shaft allowing for easier access when mounted. The shaft slides through the upper bracket and into the lower bracket, resting on an internally welded ring. The cable or rope then passes through the flagpole shaft and out through the heavy duty revolving truck assembly. A counterweight is attached near the flag to allow for ease in lowering the flag. The retainer ring with another counterweight is located further down than a traditional internal halyard to allow the flag to “swing over the bracket” for easy removal.

Both the cable based and rope based systems come with the traditional cone style revolving truck assembly with upper and lower dual sealed spindle bearing assemblies and a 5" gold ball. An 8" gold powdercoated, cast ball/truck also with upper and lower dual sealed spindle bearings is a low priced option.

Both upper and lower bracket assemblies are constructed using dual mounting cradles giving the assembly a total of 8 attachment bolts for maximum attachment strength.

INDEPENDENCE – CABLE BASE

The INDEPENDENCE VERTICAL WALL MOUNT FLAGPOLE incorporates the winch and stainless steel cable combination used in the Concord INDEPENDENCE ground mounted internal flagpole. Rather than having a door in the side of the flagpole shaft as in the case of a ground mounted flagpole, the winch is attached to a platform that fits up inside the bottom bracket within easier reach. The winch and platform can be removed for maintenance with the proper wrench. An access hole is provided in line with the winch for inserting the winch handle. The lower bracket will appear to add approximately 1' to the overall length of the flagpole when installed.

SENTRY – ROPE BASED

The SENTRY VERTICAL WALL MOUNT FLAGPOLE uses a rope system inside the flagpole with an internal cam cleat installed in a lockable door to secure the flag in place when raised. The Concord designed SENTRY door frame is installed in the lower bracket with the flagpole shaft resting on an internally welded ring within the bracket and secured with set screws. An area below the door is provided for rope storage when the flag is raised. The lower bracket will appear to add 2' to the overall length of the flagpole when installed.

FLAGPOLE EAGLESThe application of an eagle in lieu of a standard flagpole ball or mounted to a Concord Ball/Truck assembly is a beautiful addition to any flagpole. As the eagle in an “almost landed” position will catch more air than a flagpole ball, it is important that the upgrade be done properly. An eagle mounted on an internal or external halyard Ball/Truck will rotate with the truck assembly and therefore will be looking “at” the flag. When mounted to a stationary or external halyard revolving truck, the eagle will remain stationary.

Concord offers a variety of eagle sizes to compliment the size of the flagpole. While there is no official ratio between the size of the eagles and the height of the flagpole, care should be taken to choose an eagle that is esthetically complementary to the

flagpole height while not adding extreme stress. As different companies offer eagles with different wing designs, the measurements below are given in both the distance from the tip of one wing directly across to the tip of the other wing as well as the overall wing length as if the wings were fully outstretched.

HEAVY DUTY REVOLVING TRUCK ASSEMBLIESAvailable in single (A) or double (B) sheave styles, the reinforced truck body rotates on upper and lower sealed bearing assemblies for longer product life and increased ease of rotation caused by changing wind directions. The machine aluminum sheave rotates smoothly on a stainless steel axle. These models are available with optional stainless steel spindles and sealed sheave bearings.

CAST ALUMINUM BALL/TRUCK ASSEMBLIESThese truck assemblies are perfect for the Continental, Independence and Sentry aluminum flagpoles. Using dual sealed spindle bearing assemblies, these units combine the function of the truck with the traditional ball finial. The ball section is thick cast aluminum with the entire assembly finished in a choice of gold powdercoat, satin or bronzetone. Ball/Trucks are available in a 8" diameter single sheave model (A), 12" diameter with a single sheave (B) or double sheaves (C), 8" diameter for use with cable or rope based internal halyards (D) and a 12" cable based internal halyard style (E). External halyard Ball/Trucks use machined aluminum sheaves on stainless steel axles. Consider adding an eagle for added visual effect. Contact factory regarding eagle applications.

CLEAT COVERS & HALYARD CHANNELSCONCORD cleat covers offer a deterrent to unauthorized access to external halyard flagpoles. These units moves the cleat to the inside of a secure cast aluminum housing, sized and finished to compliment the base diameter of the flagpole. The cast door swings on stainless steel hinge pins with a factory installed six tumbler lock or cast tabs for use with a padlock (not included). For additional protection, cleat covers may be combined with a 5' long polished extruded aluminum halyard channel which is secured with a heavy cast upper bracket and the cleat cover.

FLAGPOLE FLASH COLLARSFlash Collars not only serve as a finishing ornamental touch to a flagpole installation but also help keep water and debris out of the ground sleeve. Most ground mount models in the Concord flagpole line include a FC11 spun aluminum collar as standard equipment and it is a low cost option on the ESTATE and PATIO models.

The EXTREME series and all ground mounted poles with a 10" or 12" base diameter are already upgraded to the thick cast aluminum version of the FC11 collar as a standard item. The cast FC11 collar is available as an upgrade on all flagpoles.

Several different styles of cast aluminum collars are also available to further individualize your flagpole.

Collars are finished in a color to compliment the color of the flagpole.
