Designing Orientations for New Billing and Clinical StaffWe know that new billing & clinical staff range in knowledge from having no prior experience with medical billing or end of life care to having done actual Hospice billing or managing their own hospice caseload.  This class will help you identify what new billers & clinicians should know, how the two job responsibilities are interdependent as well as some creative ways to present Solutions training to build an orientation plan that best meets their needs.

Hospice Billing Today (2 Days)This is going to be a fun and robust two day “Soup to Nuts,” Hospice Billing process overview. We will be focusing on where we are today and how you can better manage your Hospice billing process. This two day session will include the 2016 Wage Index changes and how they have and will continue to impact your agency. Have you changed your process to meet the continuous change in CMS requirements? We will also discuss all of the new programming done in 2015 to enhance the billing portion of Suncoast Solutions software. This will be an open forum for us to demonstrate and discuss process, best practice and for you to share successes and failures. You will be encouraged to share your experiences and will have an opportunity to listen to other Suncoast Solutions Billers.

Application Requirements Workshops The goal of these sessions is to gather requirements you would like to request for the future releases. And, for those that haven’t met Meriellen Cain, Solutions’ CEO, will provide you with an opportunity to meet and speak with her. These workshops focus on specific, functional areas of the application chosen because we have committed to enhancing or rewriting these modules this next year:

Home Health RequirementsHome Health Requirements is a facilitated session directed toward gathering user feedback on whether Home Health should be a core module in Suncoast Solutions, comparing the current release to other vendor products, and discussing functionality that needs to be added to make it a more comprehensive offering. Before the session, think about your future goals as an organization and what it is going to take to help you achieve your outcomes.Reporting and Interface RequirementsMeriellen Cain, our CEO will facilitate this requirements gathering session. This will be your opportunity to share what you believe you need as views into your data. It is clear that organizations need more than just the standard list of everyone uses. Understanding your agency’s needs for future access to data will help us identify the most effective methods of collecting and presenting what you are already gathering.Palliative Care RequirementsIf you are already providing palliative care or thinking about adding a program, you might want to join this session. The facilitator will be seeking to understand the market and what the requirements are for you to be able to manage a successful palliative care program. It is vital that we understand your requirements so we can determine how to best meet your needs. Is it development, partnering, or just offering data exchange options – we don’t know enough for good decision making. Come by and meet Meriellen Cain, our CEO, and share your thoughts on this integral segment of providing end-of-life care.Billing RequirementsThe question is not whether we are going to rewrite our billing application, but how quickly we will start. You have the opportunity to influence when we begin this work. Before we start the billing module on our new stack we need requirements. We have several subject matter experts on staff and we want to combine their knowledge of the rules and regulations with the requests you get that are not regulated or are unique to your region of country. We also want to understand what you believe your future business model will look like so we can build something as flexible as our old billing engine has been. Meriellen Cain, our CEO is very interested in gathering your requirements so we can initiate this development.

Hospice Billing Cross Training for Hospice Billers-Has Your Agency Lost a BillerThis class will focus on how your Agency can deal with the loss of your Biller. We will discuss cross training and survival tips. How can your agency prepare in case this happens (and it could). We will discuss how Solutions can also assist you. Clinical Data Entry-How This Affects Billing Now and in the FutureFrom addresses to timesheet entries, everything affects billing. Many times these errors are corrected and no one shares this information with the staff that entered it. This class will focus on tips and tricks on how to ensure that staff understand the outcome of bad data entry and better ways to review data before it becomes a billing issue that could result in a loss of revenue
